Today, apocalyptic doom cult Rigor Sardonicous premiere the new track "Caelum Ardere Vidistis" at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's long-awaited seventh album, Praeparet Bellum, set for international release on January 23rd, 2023 via Memento Mori. True purveyors of aural torment, Rigor Sardonicous are one of the cultest bands of the American death metal underground. Formed in 1988, the long-standing duo of bassist Glenn Hampton and vocalist/guitarist Joseph Fogarazzo remain one of the darkest and creepiest bands calling "death metal" home. Aided by their ever-trustworthy drum-machine, Rigor Sardonicous are utterly lifeless and excruciatingly slow, almost daring the listener to find any "fun" in their all-devouring void of inertia. You could almost qualify their music(k) as doom-death, but not in the traditional sense; existing for as long as (and even longer) than aesthetic forebears like Unholy and Evoken, Rigor Sardonicous' slo-mo sizzle equally bears a future-primitive texture not unlike earliest Godflesh or especially the cult Skin Chamber.

And so it goes with Praeparet Bellum, the band's first full-length recording in over a decade. Immediately and ruinously recognizable as Rigor Sardonicous, Praeparet Bellum thankfully features all the duo's signature elements - crushing heaviness, beyond-guttural vocals, and the very slowest of songwriting movement - but devolves them to a frightening degree. Perhaps because of their eerie absence since 2012's Memento Mori-released Ego Diligio Vos, Rigor Sardonicous sound more unique than ever on Praeparet Bellum: the subgenres of doom-death and funeral doom are definitely in full swing, but there's little to nothing around as unremittingly EMPTY and HOPELESS as this. You don't "listen" to this album, and you most definitely don't "endure" it; its ominous corpulence is only experienced. Bleak? That's simply too fun.

Here stands the End of all Ends. Be warned: you will NOT return from Rigor Sardonicous' Praeparet Bellum!

PESTIFER podpisują pakt z Debemur Morti

 

Haunting the Death Metal scene with devastating music and crushing live shows since 2004, PESTIFER have already unleashed three highly acclaimed albums. On most recent opus "Expanding Oblivion" (2020), the group successfully paired an elaborate science-fiction concept with sonic aggression, ethereal melodies, intricate riffing and a special emphasis on song-structure. PESTIFER soar through the sublimity of the night sky into the cold and annihilating darkness of outer space!

First collaborative emanation, the new EP "Defeat Of The Nemesis", will see the light of day in 2023.

PESTIFER is a metal band that has been haunting Belgium since 2004. Composed of four humanoids, the group plays an original music mixing aggressivity, melodies and personality with emphasis on the songs' structure, elaborate riffing and the general atmosphere.

The project was fantasized by young hairy twins, fanatics of the 90's Death Metal scene. With a first EP in 2006, PESTIFER aligns concerts on a local scale. In 2010, the band takes a new dimension releasing its first album, "Age Of Disgrace". Two European tours in support of KATAKLYSM and KRISIUN follow and they sign with Ultimhate Records.

After a new 13-date European tour with NILE, PESTIFER release a new album on Greatdane Records in 2014. "Reaching The Void" confirms the band’s musical direction and brings a new trend with more "sci-fi" themes.

The following years, the band undergoes some line-up changes with the arrival of a new guitar player. In mid-2019, the band records a concept album, marking a new milestone for PESTIFER. The album, the result of several years of writing, is released in March 2020 on Xenokorp Records, a few days before the worldwide lockdown. During that period, PESTIFER sign a publishing contract with Les Editions Hurlantes (GOJIRA, IMMORTAL, MARDUK...).

In 2021, the band releases a video documentary. The film is directed by Giov' and focuses on the band's life during covid. 2022 sees PESTIFER sign a contract with Debemur Morti Productions.

Time To Kill Records is happy to announce that they have signed Italian thrashers ADVERSOR.

The band is putting the finishing touches on the new album "Portrait Of A Wasteland", which will be released sometime in 2023.

Formed in 2015, ADVERSOR released a demo and two full-length albums, "Rise to Survive" and "The End of Mankind", in quick succession: both records allowed them to play everywhere in Italy and Europe alongside acts such as Exciter, Protector, Nifelheim, Gama Bomb and many others.
