Recenzja Finsterforst „Still”

Finsterforst

„Still”

AOP Records 2026

(Czytaj dalej...)

Nowy numer od HORRIFIER

Singiel od TORPOR

Today, Polish ancient metallers Torpor premiere the new track "Ɖungeon Ɖwellers" at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated debut album, Ɖungeon Ɖescent, set for international release on July 24th via Dying Victims Productions. Hear Torpor’s "Ɖungeon Ɖwellers" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Torpor were formed in Warsaw by three school friends and music fans under the huge influence of Bathory. While recording their first release, Burning Realms / Behold the Spell of Black Fortress, at the dusk of 2018, the band were laying their music foundations inspired by the epic side of black and the haunted / melancholic side of early ‘80s heavy metal.

Since their last release – 2021’s The Ancient Tales EP, which was actually recorded in 2019 – Torpor parted ways with their drummer, who alongside Mike Magister I.V. and Franciszek Archont, was a founding member of the trio. Upon the arrival of a new drummer and long-time friend, Bloodhammer, they recorded their debut album. It marks the result of their work and path undertaken.

"We knew it was our direction to follow and polish, so now, after some time, we can happily present our debut album, Ɖungeon Ɖescent,” the band state. “It is our first real record that pictures our vision exactly how we liked to. After years of wandering around basement rehearsal rooms and two self-released demos, we are finally coming out of our lairs with this LP under the banners of Dying Victims."

Their past connections with fellow labelmates Armagh and Fukkin' Vengeance somewhat explains Torpor’s link to the idiosyncratic side of ancient heavy metal, which has taken far more prominence on Ɖungeon Ɖescent over the first-wave black metal side – but that’s only part of the picture. Some might call it “cleaning up,” others might liken it to a harnessing of feral energies, but Torpor’s emphatic-yet-stoic strut conveys equal amounts of energy and mystery, finesse and fine-tuning. Of course, the power-trio can kick into high gear when they want to, be it heroic gallop or even hypnotic blast, but their sense of movement from one moody segment to the next imparts a narrative flow that’s part and parcel of their lyrical imagery. Or, perhaps it’s true swords & sorcery metal without belaboring the point – no “COOL IMAGERY DUDE” without the music & atmosphere to back it up, more specifically – that harkens to a glorious, sadly bygone era.

However you approach this Ɖungeon Ɖescent, Torpor have surely delivered a cult classic in the making. Passion, authenticity, the reverberating ring of truth…ancient powers arise from time immemorial!

Nowa EP-ka REEKMIND

Australian death-doom collective REEKMIND unveil today the full stream of their new EP "Glints From The Crematorium", now available through an exclusive premiere hosted by Death Metal Promotion. Set for release on July 24, 2026 via Night Terrors Records on CD and 12” vinyl formats, the new release expands the band’s bleak and immersive sonic identity, pushing their approach beyond the foundations established with their debut full-length.

Stream "Glints From The Crematorium" HERE.

Rooted in massive riffs, oppressive atmospheres and an overwhelming sense of emotional collapse, REEKMIND continues to channel a form of catharsis where despair and weight coexist in perfect balance. The new material preserves the raw and organic intensity that defined the band’s earlier work, while broadening its expressive scope through more fluid structures and a deeper focus on tension, contrast and immersive pacing.

The EP also features guest vocals by Daniel Butler (Vastum, Decrepisy, Acephalix) on "Flesh Draped on a Pitiful Frame", adding an additional layer of hostility and anguish to the release. Furthermore, the track "Rehearsal in a Body of Death" will appear exclusively as a bonus track on the physical edition and will not be made available digitally.

Tracklist:

1. Flesh Draped on a Pitiful Frame
2. Cyst Megalith
3. Rehearsal in a Body of Death (Bonus Track)

Strzał od UNDERTAKERS

As previously announced, Italian death-grind veterans UNDERTAKERS will release their new album "Global Dominion" on July 10, 2026 via Time To Kill Records.

Today the band unveils the album’s title-track, "Global Dominion", offering another glimpse into the sonic direction explored on the new record. The song stands as one of the album’s key moments, capturing the band’s vision through a balance between the violence of death-grind, the immediacy of hardcore and a more structured and dynamic approach to songwriting.

"Global Dominion" translates into music a reflection on a reality where freedom and identity are constantly being challenged. A track that highlights the multifaceted nature of an album in which the band continues to move between sheer aggression, intensity and a strong critical edge.

Nowy kawałek od CEREMONIAL WORSHIP

Today, Greek black metallers Ceremonial Worship premiere the new track "Pantheon of Suffering" at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated third album, Between Sleep and Death, set for international release on July 31st via Eternal Death. Hear Ceremonial Worship's "Pantheon of Suffering" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Hailing from Hellas itself, Ceremonial Worship formed in 2016 as the singular creation of High Priest C.W. A couple EPs followed during the band's first few years of existence, but in 2021, Ceremonial Worship delivered its first recording under the banner of Eternal Death with a split tape with Filipino comrades Omenfilth, jointly titled The Pact of Morbid Conspiracy.

While the band's first full-length came at the beginning of 2022, titled Ode to Dionyssus but in a very limited edition, the subsequent Seven Gateways to Eternal Misanthropy later that year was regarded as Ceremonial Worship's true debut album. Again released by Eternal Death, that record saw the band moving away from classic-styled Hellenic black metal toward something more abstract. Weird & wild riffing colliding with suitably anguished vocals, the pulse both distant and forceful, and the sum effect most definitely disturbing: Seven Gateways to Eternal Misanthropy was truly titled.

In 2025, Ceremonial Worship were reborn stronger than ever - dark, unholy, with the sole purpose of delivering chaos! The Whisperer of Night, who performed vocals on 2018's Esoteron EP, returned sharper than ever. Two new members also joined: Petros P. invoking demons on bass, and George K. bombarding on drums. High Priest C.W. remains on guitars, unleashing the darkness in all its glory.

The result: Between Sleep and Death. Still proudly Hellenic, Ceremonial Worship's third album likewise harkens to ancient times, but instead of the "Big Three" of Greek black metal (Rotting Christ, Varathron, Necromantia), there's overt tinges of Hellenic BM's second wave, such as early Kawir, Legion of Doom, Nocternity, or even mid-period Nightfall. However, the quartet's personality and identity come through with full fucking force here; that they combine so compellingly the respectively unique pulses of the two waves is what invites such references, coupled with an almost martial execution and a regal-yet-rowdy production. Atmosphere and aggression thus devour each other like the Ouroboros, and wanderlust is invoked across eight strident & succinct hymns, altogether making for an honorable new era for Ceremonial Worship. The dragon has awakened!

In the meantime, hear the brand-new track "Pantheon of Suffering" exclusively HERE, courtesy of NoCleanSinging.com. Also hear the previously revealed "Hate Spells" HERE at Eternal Death's Bandcamp, where the album can also be preordered. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:

Nowy CHAMBER OF UNLIGHT pod koniec lipca

Today, Werewolf Records announces July 31st as the international release date for Chamber of Unlight's highly anticipated second album, Avernus, on CD, vinyl LP, and cassette tape formats.

Formed in 2016, Chamber of Unlight began as the solo work of multi-instrumentalist Necrosis. The man stands as a prolific veteran of Finland's esteemed extreme metal landscape; during the past 25-plus years, his credits include Deathchain, Ajattara, Shade Empire, and Trollheims Grott. In 2021, the band released their momentous debut album, Realm of the Night. Here, Necrosis was joined by drummer LRH - himself an equally prolific Finnish veteran whose credits likewise include Deathchain and Trollheims Grott but also Horna, Bythos, Forgotten Horror, Striges, and Black Death Ritual among others - and erstwhile Deathchain guitarist Leper. Together, the trio conjured the eldritch essence of '90s Finnish black metal in a manner both reverential and refreshing, distilling the essence of the ancients with a palatable air of modernity. Following its release, a live lineup was instituted with the addition of bassist VnoM, guitarist Infection, and keyboardist Spellgoth, which thusly made their membership a veritable goldmine of Finnish underground metal excellence.

Now arrives Chamber of Unlight's first work with that six-headed lineup, Avernus. Thankfully, no great changes have been made in the band's regal attack here, but their power and professionalism have been amplified to a sterling degree. With Spellgoth's mesmerizing synths pushed to the fore, the grime of yore has yielded to a gleam that's equal parts ice palace, cosmic vortex, and magickal realm. That the riffing continually crests, with one haunting riff doled out after another and nightsky leads evoking wonder and wanderlust, further suggests magickal workings within Chamber of Unlight's still-expanding world. The cauldron truly bubbles over and its astral mists swirl with Avernus' utterly majestic production: tangibly physical, most definitely organic, but polished to a grand & diabolical shine that's blinding to those with eyes to see. And if those eyes are indeed open, the thoughts that Realm of the Night evoked - that such an attack (regally) recalls lost classics of the late '90s, particularly those released by Necropolis Records or No Fashion - absolutely spill over across this album's deceptively epic 36 minutes. The past isn't alive because it never died...the secrets to those mysteries reside within Chamber of Unlight.

In the meantime, hear the previously revealed tracks "The Dagger" HERE and "Night Chasm" HERE, both at Werewolf Records' official YouTube channel. Preorder info can be found HERE. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:

Zwiastun nowego RAPID

Today, olde-worlde metallers Rapid premiere the new track "Moonless Night" at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated debut album, Enter the Realm of Fire, set for international release on August 21st via Dying Victims Productions. Hear Rapid’s "Moonless Night" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

It was but 2022 when Rapid released their debut mini-album, Blackstar Oppression Regime, via Dying Victims. Here, the Finnish power-trio had sharpened their sound into something compelling and uncategorizable. The urgency of hardcore punk, the hook-oriented propulsion of speed metal, and the spidery aura of old-wave black metal all collided into something that was electric the second you pressed “play.” Subtly unique, Blackstar Oppression Regime also suggested that Rapid had ever more in their tank.

Now, Rapid unload their fullest arsenal with the debut album Enter the Realm of Fire. Arriving over a decade since their original formation, this first full-length displays the patience and hard graft that should come with a band’s debut album – one gauntlet grasping their foundational past, and a hand on the torch for the future. Indeed, that mini-album sported some lead lines that could’ve come from classic deathrock, but on Enter the Realm of Fire, they’re in full bloom, connecting the dots from turn-of-the-‘80s heavy metal to contemporaneous underground rumblings that should be immediately apparent to only true believers. That the hot-rockin’ takes precedence in Rapid’s current attack doesn’t make their ancient musings any less urgent; rather, these more flowing and delayed-gratification constructions serve songwriting that’s stronger overall and more charismatic than ever. To that, bassist Vincent Revenge’s vocals have become both clearer and grimier, approximating an off-the-rails crypt-keeper narrating nefarious deeds; simply witness the epic closing title track for ghoulishly poignant proof. Or, really, dispense with the fancy words, Enter the Realm of Fire, and be mesmerized by Rapid’s olde-worlde metal anarchy!

Singiel od LITOSTH

Today, Brazilian dark metallers Litosth premiere the new track "Eclipse" at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated fourth album, Dreaming, set for international release July 24th via Personal Records. Hear Litosth's "Eclipse" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Some records arrive as answers. Dreaming is not one of them.

The fourth album from Litosth—the duo formed by multi-instrumentalist Maicon Ristow and lyricist Wendel Siota—offers no comfort, no resolution, no redemption. What it offers is something more disturbing and necessary: the complete architecture of collapse. Eight tracks that do not describe the fall—they are the fall.

If 2024’s Personal-released Cesariana was a cry of revolt against the magic formula for happiness, Dreaming goes deeper—and deeper here is not a metaphor. It is literal. The album descends layer by layer through what remains when everything that was imposed is stripped away: faith, morality, purpose, and the illusion of ascent. What remains is not liberation. It is only ashes, emptiness, and silence.

Sonically, Litosth continue to refuse any label—brutality in dialogue with philosophical density and arrangements that move between the colossal and the surgical. Dreaming carries an even more suffocating cohesion than its predecessors. The eight tracks function as acts of a single ritual of dispossession: "Defy," "Ruin," "Eclipse," "Abyss," "Monolith," "Iconoclast," "Nadir," and "Gólgota" are a map of a collective sentence—one inherent to mankind as a species.

Dreaming is not a record about dreaming. It is about finally ceasing to do so. And it was never just music...
