MIDNIGHT PRIEST "Aggressive Hauntings" album details.

 

The 3rd album of the Portuguese heavy metal stalwarts MIDNIGHT PRIEST "Aggressive Hauntings" was originally planned for a 2018 release, but had to be delayed to 2019 as it wasn't ready in time. It will be out on May 10th through Metal on Metal Records. Commented the label: "This album is a bit of a come back to their earlier and more evil heavy metal style - it's definitely heavier and more aggressive than the last one. It sounds very classic and fresh at the same time and should definitely appeal to the fans of bands like JUDAS PRIEST, MERCYFUL FATE, RAM, TRIAL (Swe.), PORTRAIT, WOLF, ENFORCER and STEELWING."

Two new songs are uploaded on the label's YouTube channel ("Aggressive Hauntings" here and "On Your Knees for Metal" here). Both of them plus a third one "Iron Heart" can be streamed from the Bandcamp player on the band's page.

SACRAL NIGHT "Ancient Remains" album details.

 

Metal on Metal Records has announced that the debut full-length of the French dark heavy metal band SACRAL NIGHT "Ancient Remains" will be out on May 10th. The album was originally planned for last year's release, but it took them longer to record. It also marks the change on the vocal position: now the band's bass player and founder Amphycion, who was the singer for heavy metal act SANCTUAIRE, took over the vocal duties. According to the label, "SACRAL NIGHT's music is very difficult to label and doesn't really sound like any other band - with mostly clean vocals and macabre feeling, they stand at the crossroads of heavy metal and black/death metal. Without a doubt, it's an intense, unique and personal sounding album. Check it out if you're into any of these bands: SANCTUAIRE (Fra.), ATTIC, BEWITCHED (Chl.), SATAN'S HOST, DISSECTION, IN SOLITUDE, early DEATH, TRIBULATION and early DEATH SS."

IN AEVUM AGERE "Canto III" details.

 

 

IN AEVUM AGERE, epic doom metal trio from Italy, have recently signed with Metal on Metal Records and will have their new full-length album "Canto III" released on May 10th. The label states: "On their new album, IN AEVUM AGERE pay tribute to the most important Italian poet, Dante Alighieri, and his magnum opus "Divine Comedy". Focusing on the Inferno part, they've managed to capture the epicness of this poem really well. It's a powerful sounding album, with clean and strong vocals, memorable melodies and riffs - recommended to all those who love CANDLEMASS, SOLITUDE AETURNUS, SORCERER, MEMENTO MORI, BELOW, FORSAKEN, EVANGELIST, THUNDERSTORM and the like."

"Compendium of Metal Vol. 12"

 

The 12th annual Metal on Metal Records compilation, "Compendium of Metal Vol. 12" was released on April 26th. It clocks in at 74 minutes, features 14 songs of 13 bands (including 4 previously unreleased songs and 2 exclusive tracks) and comes with an 8-page informative booklet. The CD costs 6,00 Euro, but can be purchased for 4,00 Euro with the new releases in Metal on Metal Records' shop. The album is also available as digital download from the label's Bandcamp page. There are only 9 songs in the Bandcamp player available for streaming, but you can preview all 14 tracks (about 1-minute excerpts) from the trailer/promo clip on YouTube.
