Debiut PLASMODULATED na początku sierpnia

On August 1st internationally, Personal Records in conspiracy with Gurgling Gore and Dawnbreed Records are proud to present Plasmodulated's highly anticipated debut album, An Ocean ov Putrid, Stinky, Vile, Disgusting Hell. Personal and Dawnbreed will be handling the CD version while Gurgling Gore and Dawnbreed will be handling the vinyl and cassette versions.

At first a solo side-project of Myk Colby from Wharflurch, Plasmodulated took on a new, grotesque life with the addition of a live lineup in early 2023: Josh Goldner on guitar, Jonathan Griffin on drums, and Carlos Salas on bass. Yucky vibes were initiated, shows were played, and soon, the writing of new material began in earnest, pushing the levels of yuckiness to new, more mind-bending heights. Razor-sharp riffs and changes coagulate with the punishing angularity that the drums summon, laying a foundation for tales of disgusting phenomena belched forth in well-enunciated guttural bursts.

By insisting their death metal mechanics are employed with guitars close to standard tuning, Plasmodulated set themselves apart from the downtuned morass that seems most familiar in death metal these days. Unlike most modern death metal, the guitars are up-tuned – an ode to death metal’s infancy when E standard was the norm on albums like Slowly We Rot, Seven Churches, and Morbid Visions. What's more, moments of thrash metal madness flash out maniacally, and death-doom expansiveness also permeates the thick fog of harmonized death metal riffing that Plasmodulated conjure.

Now, after a handful of short-length releases, Plasmodulated at last unleash their debut album. An Ocean ov Putrid, Stinky, Vile, Disgusting Hell is the ever-apt title of that album, and it is appropriately a warning as well a way to define what you'll hear in this 40-minute plunge into Floridian swamp madness. Plasmodulated are not a band that wear their influences on their sleeves, but definite nods to Demilich and Voivod can be sensed in the DNA of these 10 tracks.

Says the band: "This is the culmination of all the work we put in for a year straight upon completing the lineup, and we think it's definitely a voyage for the mind and ears - a yucky voyage. We feel it's important for death metal to not only have SICK RIFFS aplenty, but also the atmosphere and vibe have to be vibrant and intact to create TRUE DEATH MAGICK...and that is most certainly what we feel we have conjured here!"

Sandwiched in the middle of the album is the "Gastral Realms" saga: a two-part story of human infection by an extraterrestrial parasite which drives them into a murderous rage, and the mission to try to reclaim this unlucky human host from its parasitic captor - a sci-fi horror movie in musical form! Indeed, every song presents a new, unsavory scenario of disgusting yuckiness to flummox and fracture your mind; Gruesome Graphx's cover artwork captures this sensation in lurid fashion. Immerse yourself in An Ocean ov Putrid, Stinky, Vile, Disgusting Hell!

First track and preorder info to be announced shortly. Aforementioned cover artwork and tracklisting are as follows:

Eleventh Ray to zespół mający swój rodowód w Atenach, czyli bastionie greckiego black metalu.

Today, Me Saco Un Ojo Records and Rotted Life Records announce July 11th as the international release date for Décryptal's highly anticipated debut album, Simulacre. Me Saco Un Ojo will handle the vinyl LP version while Rotted Life will handle the CD and cassette versions.

Following Quebec band's rotten 2023 demo, this promises to be a monolith of death metal destruction. Drawn-out passages of charnel guitars and battering drums showcase a superbly classic take on death metal with mean-spirited vocals snarling through the abyssal mix. The atmospheric and yet savagely punchy instruments have a thick and well-executed production that allows the meatiness of the record to be really felt. Each contorting riff feels organic, and the drums vary plentifully. This is the kind of cavernously gruesome death metal that manages to stand out from the crowd with interesting songwriting and unique flares, such as the occasional off-kilter bassline or drum fill. If you're interested in hearing some magnificent old-school death metal with buckets of atmosphere but also its own personality, Décryptal satisfy those needs.

As you continue with this eldritch abomination of extremity, each track will spellbind you with an endless array of killer riffing, bone-crushing grooves, and tastefully sparse leads. Clever hooks lead into total frenzy, and then the doom gets cranked up to ensure you're never left bored on this volatile record. But most importantly, the creative flow makes sense; there isn’t any jarring jumps or skittish playing - only pure, rotten death metal that dares to walk its own pathway down into the crypts of the '90s and leaves with an unrecognized corpse thrown over its shoulders. Décryptal will bury you, and you will love it… [text by Jørgen Kirby of Nattskog webzine]

Singiel HELHEIM

Norwegian Viking/black metal legends Helheim return with their 12th studio album — a groundbreaking release where the band does the unthinkable: creating a split album with themselves. For the first time in their over 30-year-long career, primary songwriters V'gandr and H'grimnir have divided the creative process, each taking full control over half of the album, including vocals and musical direction. The result is two distinct yet unmistakably Helheim expressions — a bold evolution of the band's signature sound.

The first half, "HrabnaR", features four standalone tracks penned by H'grimnir. Opening with the powerful "Geist", this side highlights H'grimnir’s commanding songwriting — heavy, yet rich with atmosphere — propelled by the relentless, dynamic drumming of Hrymr, whose distinctive style remains a cornerstone of Helheim's sound. From the haunting, melancholic "Sorg er dødens spade" (“Sorrow is Death’s Spade”) to the intense "Livsblot" and the stirring "Mennesket er dyret i tale" (“Man is the Beast in Speech”), this first chapter offers a profound journey through heaviness and reflection.

The second half, "Ad vesa", delves into Norse metaphysical concepts, exploring the four components of the human soul according to pre-Christian beliefs: Fylgja, Hamr, Hugr, and Hamingja. In ancient Norse thought, the soul was a composite, not a singular entity - and Helheim brings this rich, complex mythology to life through their deeply atmospheric compositions.

The 2nd single from “HrabnaR / Ad vesa” is the track “Geist”, which can be streamed or downloaded from a number of services at https://orcd.co/helheim-geist

Video od GRAVE WITH A VIEW

In the long hours of the night, when the weight of existence becomes unbearable and there is no god, no salvation and no light, GRAVE WITH A VIEW return to deliver another cut to the soul. The Finnish purveyors of Anti-Life Black Metal Misery have unveiled a new video for “The Lash”, now streaming exclusively via No Clean Singing.

Watch “The Lash” at THIS LOCATION.

Originally released as part of last year’s devastating full-length “Raw Illumination” (Dusktone), “The Lash” is a sonic scourge, a sadistic, relentless track that strips the listener bare, exposing every wound and weakness to the cold. Unfolding with flaying riffs and pitiless vocal lacerations, the song captures the essence of GRAVE WITH A VIEW’s desolate vision: isolation, humiliation, grief, and the slow corrosion of the self. Now, its harrowing power is made flesh in a visual companion as stark and unrelenting as the music itself.

“Raw Illumination” marked the band’s most intense and harrowing work to date. From the shattered ice of “Cold Flesh Peregrination” to the funeral crawl of “Loathe”, the album offers no reprieve, only suffering. “The Lash” stands among its most punishing moments, embodying the violent spiral of internal collapse.

Nowy numer ANCHORITE

On August 1st internationally, Personal Records is proud to present Anchorite's highly anticipated second album, Realm of Ruin, on CD format.

Anchorite was formed in late 2018 at the Malta Doom Metal Festival when vocalist Leo Stivala (Forsaken, ex-Reflection) and bassist Peter Svensson (Void Moon, Assassin’s Blade, ex-Goatess) decided to form a band together. Firmly based in the field of epic doom metal, they started outlining the overall concept of the band and began recruiting members. The first member to join the band was drummer Marcus Rosenkvist (Void Moon, Assassin’s Blade), and work on material for their first album started right away. After trying several guitarists, the perfect fit was found in Martin Jepsen Andersen (Blindstone, Meridian, ex-Reece) and the recording of that album, Further from Eternity, could be completed. This first album was mixed by Magnus "Devo" Andersson (ex-Marduk) at Endarker Studio. The album contained a heartfelt tribute to Mark "The Shark" Shelton, the late frontman of Manilla Road, called "Valhalla Awaits," featuring ex-Manilla Road members Randy Foxe (drums) and Bryan Patrick (vocals).

After a break of a few years, Anchorite started writing new material for a second album. This time, compositions were done in a more of a band-collaborative manner, with everyone pulling in ideas. The new album was recorded 2024-2025, and mixing and mastering was again trusted in the hands of Endarker Studio. Titled Realm of Ruin, form fits contents, as Anchorite build towers of epic-ascending / descending emotion and heaviness. Truly, this is maniacal doom for doom metal maniacs - the band are forthright about their influences, namely Solitude Aeternus, Candlemass, and the aforementioned Manilla Road - but that takes nothing away from the poignancy and power of these eight equally weighty songs. Even for those well versed in epic doom, Realm of Ruin conveys Anchorite's own personality, indeed putting a unique twist on an otherwise-strictured idiom; one will find a plethora of dual-harmonic leads and tempos that pick up to a trad-metal gallop, among other tasteful details. What's more, the band cement their cultness by getting a guest appearance from legendary Mercyful Fate guitarist Michael Denner. Wander within this Realm of Ruin as the journey of the Anchorite continues!

In the meantime, hear the brand-new title track "Realm of Ruin" HERE at Personal Records' Bandcamp. Preorder info can be found HERE. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:

Debiut FILTH w lipcu

Today, Me Saco Un Ojo Records and Rotted Life Records announce July 18th as the international release date for the highly anticipated debut album of Sweden's Filth, Time to Rot. Me Saco Un Ojo will handle the vinyl LP version while Rotted Life will handle the CD and cassette versions.

Promising total rotten malignancy with the superb visuals of this record, before you hear a note: you know this will be a gruesome listen. Fouling the air with a disturbing ambience, the disquiet of this record leads into a gloomy and sepulchral yet bludgeoning offering of death metal. Abhorrent riffing and ghastly vocals mold together in foul fashion atop powerful drums. Each gritty detail has a lot of force behind it, and the band instantly puts a butcher's hook through your flesh that keeps pulling you in for more fetid ferocity. This type of mid-tempo, groove-laden death metal has seen a lot of strong acts in the last decade or so, and Sweden's Filth are clearly going to be one of those names that stand out with their memorably intoxicating and putrescent soundscapes of decay.

For half an hour, churning bubonic guitars and guttural snarls possess you while brutal drums keep your neck cranking along to the rotten feast of death metal. This is an absolutely crushing listen that fans of the old school will definitely adore. Unpolished, unfriendly, and unwavering: Filth set out to concoct a disgusting debut LP, and they have certainly excelled in this endeavor. Your skull will be stamped into mulch, spilling into the catacombs below. Each stringy ligament of musicality is absolutely grotesque from start to end. Feeling like a singular fluid experience, each song is a statement to true death metal reigning supreme. The time to rot is upon us… [text by Jørgen Kirby of Nattskog webzine]

Debiut MORTUAL na początku lipca

Rising from the oppressive crypts of Central America, MORTUAL is ready to deliver their most unrelenting statement of intent yet. Following a trilogy of celebrated EPs, the Costa Rican death metal cult will release their long-awaited debut full-length, "Altar of Brutality", on LP, CD and MC format on July 4th, 2025 through Nuclear Winter Records.

The first single "Necromancy Ritual" is now streaming HERE.

Spawned in the black rain and pestilent winds of San José, "Altar of Brutality" is a declaration of total spiritual negation: eight impure hymns steeped in decay, fanatic violence and the iconoclastic hunger to desecrate all that is sacred. Carrying forward the cursed legacy of their previous EP "Evil Incarnation", MORTUAL now reach deeper into the void, channeling a darker, more oppressive sound, dripping with heretical intent and sharpened through years of relentless underground devotion.

This is not a reinvention, but a declaration, a brutal affirmation of death metal’s primal force. With "Altar of Brutality", MORTUAL summon a vision of spiritual ruin and corporeal decay, wrapped in chains of riffs, blasts and unwavering intensity.

Nowy album i trasa SARGEIST

On May 28th internationally, W.T.C. Productions is proud to present Sargeist's highly anticipated sixth album, Flame Within Flame, on CD format; the vinyl LP and cassette tape versions will follow later. Its release coincides with an 11-date European tour - full dates as well as poster are as follows:

May 28 - Erfurt, Germany @ From Hell
May 29 - Grosserlach, Germany @ VFRR
May 30 - Aarburg, Switzerland @ Musigburg
May 31 - Sterzing, Italy @ Adventus Mort
June 1 - Vienna, Austria @ Escape
June 2 - Budapest, Hungary @ Blue Hell/KVLT
June 3 - Annaberg-Buchholz, Germany @ Tanks MC
June 5 - Paris, France @ Backstage
June 6 - Oberhausen, Germany @ Helvete
June 7 - Kortrijk, Belgium @ DVG Club
June 8 - Tilburg, Netherlands @ Little Devil

By now, Sargeist require no introduction. For over 25 years now, the band - led by erstwhile Horna guitarist / songwriter Shatraug, who's arguably the most prolific metal musician of that same period - have been at the forefront of the ever-fertile Finnish black metal scene. In fact, alongside Horna, one could say that Sargeist are the most influential band of that scene, which has gone on to influence countless other worldwide scenes in this millennium.

As has been the way since 2018's significant Unbound full-length, which saw the arrival of erstwhile Nightbringer / Demoncy guitarist VJS among others, Flame Within Flame also sees the arrival of more new members: longtime Horna frontman Spellgoth on bass and prolific drummer Nur-i-siyah, who's played with Nawaharjan and Decapitated Christ among others. And while that "classic" Sargeist lineup that included longstanding co-conspirators Torog and Horns (vocals and drums, respectively) certainly set an enviably high standard, Shatraug and crew continue undaunted, arguably more invigorated than ever. Indeed, Flame Within Flame is presciently titled, for the band's spirit is unextinguishable and unquenchable, seemingly infinite in inspiration whilst remaining characteristically - and DEADLY - focused. From the album's opening seconds, this is classic, burning-with-desperation Sargeist, but immerse thyself in its icily shimmering waters ever so deeper and one will find that there's an almost-melancholic touch to Shatraug & VJS's riff-sorcery. What results is perhaps the band's most atmospheric record to date - credit, too, to the spacious-yet-immediate production - but one still pulsing with ragged, burning-black emotion: truly, the enduring hallmark of Sargeist's eternal aesthetic. Of especial note is Shatraug resuming vocals, which he hasn't done since the band's early demo days. Return, once again, to misery and comfort with Flame Within Flame! Cover and tracklisting are as follows:

KING unleashes 11 tracks on K, perfectly blending darkness and power, with a musical approach that explores new sonic dimensions without losing the brutality they are known for... inviting the listener on a deep journey through the chaos and reflection that define its creators.

Singiel HELLSTORMER

Belgian post-doom quartet Hemelbestormer have just revealed a new single titled 'Turms', featuring Philip Jamieson of Caspian. Their upcoming album, The Radiant Veil, will be out on 25th July through Pelagic Records.

Pre-order The Radiant Veil here: https://orcd.co/hemelbestormer

Hemelbestormer has been a commanding entity in the heavy music scene for over ten years, with their idiosyncratic take on the merger of post-rock, doomgaze, and black metal. Made up of veterans from the Belgian hardcore and metal community, the four-piece from Hasselt create intricate sonic journeys through space and time built over punishing riffs and spine-chilling climaxes. With their fourth full-length album, The Radiant Veil, Hemelbestormer take their songwriting and production to new heights, honouring their name as trailblazers on the intersection of dark and light, the crushingly heavy and the hauntingly beautiful.

“Where I Am the Chalice, Be Thou the Blood”

Nuclear Winter Rec. 2025

Zanim przejdę do samej muzyki, pozwolę sobie wrzucić taką luźną myśl…

(Czytaj dalej...)
