The legendary US Death Metal band DETERIOROT has just revealed the cover art, as well as the 1st advance single and tracklist for what will be their 4th full-length album entitled "Awakening" which will see the light next October 21st through Xtreem Music on CD, 12"LP, Cassette & Digital formats.

The band was established in 1988 under the name Mortuary and then in 1989 as DETERIOROT by the founding member, songwriter, composer, lead guitarist and vocalist Paul Zavaleta.
DETERIOROT stands as one of the pioneers and 1st generation alumni of the NJ/NY-USA Death Metal scene, alongside notable bands like Revenant, Ripping Corpse, Immolation, Incantation, and Mortician. Known for their blend of atmospheric tones reminiscent more along the lines of Finnish/UK Death Metal of 1990, with a hint of Swedish a la Nihilist, combined with the NJ/NY vibe of 1990 and you get a more unique delivery which is their uncompromising sound, a sound that has been reflected by the trend of the current New Wave of Old School Death Metal Bands and True OSDM Worshipers.
