Three years after the release of unholy Gothic masterpiece "Charnel Noir", enigmatic shadow-dwellers LIGHT OF THE MORNING STAR reemerge with a new 4-track EP. "Wings in the Night Sky" stands as the band's darkest, coldest, and most majestic work to date, enveloping listeners in an unyielding atmosphere of morbid enchantment. The EP masterfully weaves dread-filled dynamics, suspenseful orchestration, hypnotic rhythms, and stately, hauntingly memorable songwriting.
Tracklist:
01. Night Falls
02. Burial Chamber Cold
03. Phantomlights
04. Aura
All songs were written by O-A and JSM, except for 'Aura', which was composed in collaboration with J. Kvarnbrink (MORTUUS). The sonic rituals were brought to life by F. Caste at Studio Saint-Marthe, Paris. The cover artwork was crafted by Soeuralice, with the layout courtesy of Sulphurous Visions.
The band speaks of their upcoming reemergence from the crypt:
""Wings in the Night Sky" is fixed immutably in the chill of the grave. Unholy, insatiable hunger…the terrible discovery of new, unseen gateways and paths…and the genesis and absolute essence of unforgiving ghostly vampirism."
LIGHT OF THE MORNING STAR also unveil new track 'Burial Chamber Cold' as a first taste of their forthcoming record. Listen on DMP's YouTube channel:
