Swedish/US band THE GROTESQUERY have just revaled cover artwork, tracklist and 1st single of their 4th album "The Lupine Anathema" to be released next spring through Xtreem Music.

     Leaded by swedish mastermind Rogga Johansson (PAGANIZER, PUTREVORE, RIBSPREADER...) and mythic vocalist fro Florida Kam Lee (ex-MASSACRE), THE GROTESQUERY were formed back in 2009 and have been spreading their awesome Death Metal with their first three albums, all released through Cyclone Empire, and gaining a loyal fanbase around the world. After completing a trilogy, the band is now starting a side chapter with "The Lupine Anathema", still in the clutches of the Lovecraftian horrors of old.

 La banda sueco/americana THE GROTESQUERY acaba de revelar el arte de la portada, tracklist y 1er single de su 4º álbum "The Lupine Anathema", que será lanzado en primavera por Xtreem Music.

    Liderados por el genio sueco Rogga Johansson (PAGANIZER, PUTREVORE, RIBSPREADER...) y el mítico vocalista de Florida Kam Lee (ex-MASSACRE), THE GROTESQUERY se formaron allá por 2009 y han estado difundiendo su buenísimo Death Metal con sus tres primeros álbumes, todos editados a través de Cyclone Empire, y ganándose una leal base de fans por todo el mundo. Tras completar una trilogía, la banda está ahora comenzando un capítulo paralelo con "The Lupine Anathema", todavía agarrado a los viejos horrores Lovecraftianos.

Kat i Roman Kostrzewski (KAT&RK) to historia black, thrash metalu. Kultowy zespół tworzący Wielką Trójcę Polskiego Metalu łącznie z TSA i Turbo, powstał w 1980 r. Zwycięstwo w konkursie publiczności -Jarocin 85’ dało zespołowi pierwszy singiel „Noce Szatana” , „Ostatni tabor”(Tonpress), i pierwszą płytę zespołu wydaną w Europie Zachodniej-”Metal & Hell” (Ambushrecords).
Na przestrzeni lat KAT dzieli deski z tuzami światowego metalu jak: Metallica, Motörhead, Iron Maiden, z powodzeniem występuje w kraju i za granicą, w październiku 2016 r. KAT&R K z sukcesem odbył 11 koncertową trasę po Anglii, Szkocji i Irlandii.

ULVESANG - The Hunt

The air hangs heavy in the air, exhaled by a huddle of men – alert and eager to set off. The long grass is stiff with frost and a murder of crows wait in a nearby tree. They understand. They too are ready for the hunt. The anticipation is unbearable as the invocation begins. Reverence and ceremony are key. There is no cutting corners and the rite only serves to heighten the senses and sharpen the mind. There is an ancient awe in the air and a feeling of connection to the past; to those who walked this same crisp ground before. Alex Boyd & Ana Dujakovic reflect on the poignancy of such a connection. The melancholy that sits in between the moments of excitement. The tinge of sorrow that follows a successful hunt. The sense of purpose has been and gone. The afterglow has given way to regret and unease. A beautiful creature has died that we may persevere. Is that the chants of our ancestors carried on the wind? Are they proud? Perhaps that is enough. Perhaps that is everything. To use the term neofolk here would be ironic as Ulvesang have reached back beyond the past and found not only a connection to those who came before, but also an unearthly primordial magic. Surely that is the very definition of true folk music.

 

After their successful self-titled debut Canadian ULVESANG returns with their new album "The Hunt" on March 16th. Following in the footsteps of their magnificent debut the Canadians once more manage to create a wonderful acoustic folk album. With "The Hunt" ULVESANG proves again to be a very promising duo within the genre of acoustic folk and neofolk.

Sometimes all it takes is to be out there. In the misty, cold dark reality and be alone. A suburban street with impotent street lights failing to break through the spell of the fog. A city underpass with the pungent smell of urine the only reminder of other human existence. Or a windswept moor after midnight with owl's silently devouring rodents and foxes quietly careening past as you realize your own insignificance. In such situations creative sparks are born and the sounds of the Earth reveal themselves. Herr K has clearly been listening, as Fragments Of Silence offers a portal into the eerie, yet unmistakably earthly void. Metamorphoses, was an homage to Kafka and while the bleakness of Fragments…tips a grey, tattered cap in the direction of the great man, it draws greater strength from our existential state and especially from the murky world of nightly dreams. “You are free, and that is why you are lost” Kafka reminds us. But listen closely and you will see yourself in Herr K's sonic mirror and remember that ‘found and enslaved is no match for ‘lost and free', especially in a world painted in such a stark, yet enchanting monochrome.

Swedish Arctic Black Thrash Metallers Sinestro join forces with Black Lion for release of EP Arctic Blood

Founded in 2012 by Linus Öhrn known from IXXI and Sebastian Rojas, who previously played in bands together. With the new addition Joel Fox Apelgren on bass, trion is now ready to develop his music and drive on just like before.

Previously, the band members were known from Graverape Ritual, but the chemistry did not match all members, so they decided to close that project. So after we laid down the band, we founded Siniestro and because of the lack of bassist in the beginning, I took the role of both bassist and guitarist as well as the singer in the recording of the record, tells Linus Öhrn, singer and guitarist.

 

 The name Siniestro is Spanish and means accidentally, the name was the suggestion of Sebastian Rojas who is drummer in the band, telling that he had a list of different names and because Siniestro sounded good in both Swedish and English they chose it. The bassist Joel joined November last year and is a welcome feature of the band.

"For the first time, it feels like we have a dream team, Joel is a cruel bassist and it feels good to be able to come with him on the next plate. Now we can develop the songs and especially the interaction between bass and drums before we get started, before we have just driven, and because metal does not contain so much bass it has worked. But now we have the chance to do something even better, even though we will not make things more advanced than they are, but just develop the songs. So already, I can feel that upcoming albums will be awesome, Linus says.

Having toured with heavy acts like Destruction the band is now ready to unleash their new EP Arctic Blood but before it all will be burned down to ashes a music video is underway directed and shoot by the famous producer Owe Lingvall known for working with Meshuggah. Expect Fire Blood and loads of Chaos the Ep is mixed and Mastered by Jens Bogren known for working with high end bands like Arch Enemy, Rotting Christ,Dimmu Borgir, At The Gates and more.
