The band have signed to Lethal Scissor Records for
the release of their debut album "Congenital Depravity",
due out on July 10th 2024.
The fresh eight track offering “Congenital Depravity” marks
the outfit’s Lethal Scissor Records debut, and is the
successor to their acclaimed “PromoSick 2022” demo. Formed in 2019, CRANIAL
DISORDER has brought a breath of fresh air to the scene and has
delighted fans and underground connoisseurs alike.
With this album, CRANIAL DISORDER continue to sharpen their
sound, which faithfully captures the essence of late ‘90s and early 2000’s
brutal death metal. The band’s influences are no secret, but rattling off a
list of classic death metal influences doesn’t do justice to the impact that CRANIAL
DISORDER achieve with their music, a sound that is as relentless as it
is morbid.
The songs are generally aggressive and pummeling, leaving the listener with
little or no respite from the assault, but even at breakneck speed, there’s a
compositional intricacy on display. Riff is piled upon monstrous riff and
razor-wire solos slice, gleaming, through filth as CRANIAL DISORDER
bring us a new level of sickening death metal power.

As Italian black metal act DARKEND prepares for the June
14th arrival of their "Viaticum" full-length

Continuing on from 2017’s The Future
State Of Wicked, the band keeps the thrash vicious, as one would expect.
Yet, this time out, the boundaries are expanded. There have been changes in the
ranks, as original guitarist Adam Tranquilli has now added lead vocal duties,
and co-guitarist/producer CJ Scioscia has taken on more of the songwriting.
Drummer Adam Kieffer remains (he came onboard for the band’s 2019 EP Chopped,
Sliced & Diced), while bassist extraordinaire Mike LePond of Symphony X
lent his impressive talents on the low end.
Songs such as "Outbreak," "Never Will I Die," and "Of
Hell" retain the Blood Feast tradition of fast and furious.
However, the limits are pushed out a bit further into a tech/prog direction on
"Eye Of Glass" and album closer "The Chosen." With a
production straddling the line between modern and old school, Infinite
Evolution shows diversity, yet without sacrificing the speed or
heaviness.
With the lineup now solidified by the addition of Dave Kramer on bass, Blood
Feast is itching to get these songs aired in public. New adventures
await, and new frontiers are ready to be conquered. Infinite Evolution is
the key to the journey.

Italian Thrashers IREFUL, has just signed a deal with Xtreem
Music for release of their debut album "Agents of Doom"
of which they have also revealed a first advance single as well as cover
artwork and track list. "Agents of Doom" will see the
light next July 16th through Xtreem Music on CD & Digital
formats.
IREFUL was formed in 2019 by four maniacs who
had already been active in other formations before (Eraser, Shock Troopers,
Daemonokrat, Hellraiders...) and whose only intention was to make Thrash Metal
from the '80s in the vein of bands like Exodus, Slayer, Kreator, Vio-Lence,
Dark Angel and of course the cult Italian band Bulldozer.
In 2021 they released their first EP "The
Walls of Madness" through several labels at the same time, after
which they played several shows while composing their first album which was
finally recorded between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024. "Agents
of Doom" is their first full-length album that has led them to
sign with Xtreem Music, which will launch it worldwide next July
2024.

Singapurski, grindcore’owy skład Wormrot powraca do Polski! Autorzy znakomitego “Hiss” z 2022 roku wystąpią 13 czerwca na deskach poznańskiego klubu Pod Minogą.
Mimo że Wormrot opisują siebie jako zespół grindcore’owy, to swoją twórczością pokazują, że używanie tego terminu w niczym ich nie ogranicza, a wykraczanie poza gatunkowe ramy jest dla nich czymś naturalnym. Znakomitym tego przykładem jest ostatni jak dotąd, czwarty w ich dorobku duży album “Hiss”, który ukazał się w lipcu 2022 roku nakładem Earache Records. I oczywiście, wciąż mamy tu do czynienia z szaleńczymi tempami i ścianą dźwięku generalnie, ale kompozycje Wormrot, w których usłyszymy chwytliwe, lekko thrash’owe riffy, black metalowe tremola czy nawet skrzypce, to już wyższa liga, a nawet ekstraklasa.
Grupa już pomału dobija do dwudziestolecia swojej działalności i w tym czasie zdołała zagrać chyba wszędzie. Występowali w dość obskurnym klubie z kozą wśród widowni (tak, chodzi o tego mema), w historii singapurskiej muzyki zapisali się jako pierwszy reprezentant tego kraju na festiwalu Glastonbury (2017), a do tego doszły jeszcze wspólne trasy m.in. z Napalm Death czy Misery Index. Latem zespół powróci do Europy w składzie wzbogaconym o Gabriela Dubko i singapurską artystkę weish, którzy przejmą obowiązki wokalne, a jednym z przystanków na ich szlaku będzie poznański klub Pod Minogą!

Today, Hells Headbangers announces July 12th as
the international release date for Skelethal's highly anticipated
third album, Within Corrosive Continuums, on CD, vinyl LP, and
cassette tape formats. In lieu of this announcement, the band reveal
the first track "Fatal Abstraction."

Formed in 2012, Skelethal have been at the
forefront of the now-fertile French death metal scene. While many of the band's
primary influences have been Swedish - Entombed, Carnage, and Dismember - over
the past decade, the quartet have finessed that style of death metal into one
that feels classic rather than simply "old." Call
it intrinsically understanding what makes death metal DEATH METAL or simply
possessing the songwriting nous to add to such a hallowed canon rather than
merely milking, but Skelethal have proven to be
contenders to the throne. First full-length evidence was 2017's Of the
Depths..., followed by 2020's Unveiling the Threshold, which
saw a lineup change and bold steps beyond Swedeath (and both released by Hells
Headbangers), and now arrives LP#3 to all but assure that ascent to
the throne.
Tellingly titled Within Corrosive Continuums, Skelethal's
third album equally encapsulates their past and builds upon it in noble ways.
While it's predecessor saw a slight uptick in clarity, here do Skelethal carry
forward that clarity with a conspicuous dirtying-up of tone. The production's
as powerful as ever, so it could be argued that that rediscovered grit &
grime come more in the band's execution - or, more accurately, the songwriting
itself. Within Corrosive Continuums immediately sounds like the
same band who unleashed those prior two (celebrated) LPs, but Skelethal
flex a bit differently here, opening up a number of (still-death metal)
influences and transforming them into riffs and rhythms that ever so slightly
more adventurous, all without (crucially) losing their characteristic
directness. As such, the bulk of these largely-five-minute-long songs feel
twice as fast, so feverish is the band's intensity, but dread-draped hooks and
CRUSHING heaviness still rule the day. Put another way, Skelethal take
on textures that are more personal and somber, but keep the expression
resolutely death metal. Simply witness the 13-minute closing juggernaut, appropriately
enough the title track: hearing is believing, and Skelethal will
make believers out of even the crankiest "old school" diehards.
Third albums are always a gamble when it comes to death metal; you either sell
out, or get stuck in inertia for the rest of your days. Skelethal defy
this convention and continue to push their limits, culminating in a deep
trip Within Corrosive Continuums.
