Muszę przyznać, że brytyjski Overthrow mocno zabił mi ćwieka. Sądząc po samej okładce byłem przekonany, że najnowsza EP-ka zespołu zawierać będzie nuklearny metal w stylu Blasphemy czy Proclamation. No bo, przyznać się, komu do głowy przyszłoby co innego? Tymczasem już pierwsze sekundy „Ascension of the Entombed” burzą tego rodzaju domysły, gdyż z głośników leci… wariacja na temat „Immortal Rites” Morbidów. (Czytaj dalej...)

Co prawda wszystkie oparte są na tym samym patencie, lecz ostateczny wydźwięk wybranej płyty jest inny. Tak się również sprawy mają w przypadku „Catacombs”. Wesoły nam dzień ponownie w końcu nastał, którego z nas każdy żądał. Tego dnia Śmierć znów przemówiła swymi ostatnimi słowy, a każdy, kto pragnął usłyszeć Jej głos donośny, stawił się w klubie Over The Under wczesnym wieczorem dnia listopada dwudziestego pierwszego. Jako że ze Śmiercią jestem za pan brat dłuższy już czas, więc nie mogłem nie zjawić się onego dnia w wyznaczonym miejscu, aby ponownie uciąć sobie z tą panią kolejną pogawędkę. Jak przebiegał ten dialog i kto przemawiał w imieniu kostuchy, tego dowiecie się z tej skromnej relacji.

Jako pierwsi dyskusję rozpoczęli panowie z pomorskiego Dark Side. Zespół z Gniewu przyłożył bardzo konkretnie. Nie było srania po krzakach. Chłopaki zagrali z zębem i odpowiednim wykopem, a przede wszystkim szczerze i z pasją, co zgromadzonym pod sceną niewątpliwie przypadło do gustu. Grupa bardzo dobrze łączy w swej twórczości Melodyjny Metal Śmierci z nowocześniejszymi fakturami rodem z Metalcore’a i trzeba przyznać, że ich muza bardzo dobrze żre na żywca. Mimo że jakoś specjalnie nie przepadam akurat za takim graniem, to energetyczny występ Dark Side naprawdę przypadł mi do gustu i był bardzo dobrym otwarciem imprezy.

Chwilka przerwy na uzupełnienie płynów, zapalenie fajki pokoju, siusiu lub kupkę i na scenie zainstalowali się kolejni, upoważnieni do wypowiadania się w imieniu Śmierci, czyli Małopolski kwartet Exul. No i ledwo się pojawili, a przypierdolili tak, że co niektórym opadły galoty. Wymiatali ci jegomoście doprawdy zajebiście, a doskonały technicznie, zadziorny  Thrash Metal, jaki zaprezentowali,niszczył w pizdu, nie biorąc jeńców. Wyborna była to jazda i to głównie na pełnej piździe, ale przede wszystkim szczera, naturalna i bez parcia na szkło. Zaiste Exulnie pierdolili się w tańcu, a niewiasta z kosą niewątpliwie rada była, że udzieliła im głosu w swym imieniu. Warto mieć na nich oko, bo gadają chłopaki otwarcie, co im leży na wątrobie, a do tego ubierają swe słowa w wyśmienitą, agresywną, klasycznie jadowitą  muzykę. Występ pierwsza klasa, bez dwóch zdań.

Tradycyjna przerwa na to, co kto tam se życzy i scenę we władanie objęli kolejni,  namaszczeni przez wiadomo kogo. Mowa oczywiście o ansamblu z bydgoskiego podziemia (przynajmniej w pewnej części), innymi słowy o Fatigue. To, co zespół zrobił tego wieczora,  ledwo pomieściło się w mojej łepetynie. W chuj ciężki, smolisty Black/Doom, jaki zaserwowali zgromadzonym, wgniatał w podłoże, miażdżył czaszki i łamał kręgosłupy, a mistyczny, niemal obrzędowy  i zarazem wysoce niepokojący feeling ich występu przeorał mnie tak, że omal nie oddałem na plecy. Niejeden z oglądających ten rytuał został brutalnie odarty ze złudzeń i niewątpliwie stracił poczucie wewnętrznego komfortu, oczywiście zaraz po tym, jak jego dusza została rozerwana na strzępy. To, co dokonało się podczas występu Fatigue,można porównać tylko z powolną, okrutną, diabelską lobotomią wykonaną na żywym organizmie. Cóż za cudowne uczucie! Absolutnie przytłaczający, druzgocący jaźń recital. Palce lizać.

Finalna przerwa, no i przyszedł czas, aby wypowiedzieli się ostatni pomazańcy Śmierci, czyli Łódzkie Sacriversum. Ciekaw byłem niezmiernie ich występu, ale zarazem targały mną niemałe obawy, wszak chłopaki spali prawie 17 lat. Gdy jednak tylko rozpoczęli, wszelakie moje lęki i fobie poszły w pizdu, gdyż Remo i spółka pokazali, że są w bardzo dobrej formie i nadal potrafią grać konkretny, soczysty, klimatyczny Death z elementami korzennego Thrashu. Kawał występu dali Łodzianie. Chwilami micha cieszyła mi się tak, że gdyby nie uszy, to banan owinąłby mi się wokół głowy. Gnietli panowie przecudnie, a o nowym wałku, który zaprezentowali, mogę powiedzieć tylko tyle. Ciężar. Moc. Miazga. Jeżeli tak ma wyglądać nowe oblicze Sacriversum, to ja jestem kurwa za! Bezapelacyjnie i w całej rozciągłości! I tak oto panowie z centralnej Polski, swym bardzo dobrym występem  zakończyli kolejne, XXI już Ostatnie Słowa Śmierci. Dzięki Panowie. Wasze zdrowie i  powodzenia. Oczywiście tradycyjne dzięki składam też Maciejowi, jak i całej ekipie Over The Under. Do zobaczenia w grudniu.

US black metal pioneers DEMONCY will make their long-awaited return this winter with the release of Black Star Gnosis.

After more than eleven years since the release of Enthroned Is the Night, the legendary beast of DEMONCY rears its ugly head once more – in league with Dark Descent Records – and perhaps at the top of its malevolent powers. Led by illustrious founder Ixithra, their upcoming fifth album Black Star Gnosis is a true testament to constancy and vision in the name of evil.

With this new offering, DEMONCY delivers the record most sonically akin to 1999’s Joined in Darkness since the turn of the century. The primitive reverb-laden production seamlessly complements the songcraft of unfathomable darkness, resulting in an inimitable hellish soundscape unique to DEMONCY alone. The crushing compositions are accompanied by a commanding subterranean bass frequency, as well as Ixithra’s uniquely coarse vocal performances - which also bear a striking resemblance to the second album.

Mini BURIAL MOON w grudniu

 

Today, Signal Rex announces December 8th as the international release date for Burial Moon's striking debut mini-album, self-titled Burial Moon, on CD, 12" vinyl, and cassette tape formats.

Burial Moon are a mysterious international entity which may or may not include members as distant as Northern Europe as well as the southernmost climes of Europe. Grim and ethereal is their black metal, as the four lengthy tracks across their 22-minute Burial Moon mini-album cast a spell of raw mysticism immediately felt. The guitar tone alone, despite being hypnotically melodic, sounds like decay in realtime; the vocals suitably hover above the ever-surging miasma like a malignant spectre, and often take on a disembodied choral effect. And, for as lengthy as those four component tracks are, their song titles go to great lengths - literally - to convey the psychic headspace Burial Moon are occupying on their public debut. With a sound characterized by epic atmospheres, progressive immersion and an old-school diehardness, "The Crimson Temple" marks the seventh installment from Greek trailblazers VARATHRON, known to be amongst the pioneers of the Hellenic Black Metal genre. BRODER started out slow in 2014, with droning doom, but metamorphized into a blackened sludge wasteland with the 2018 album, Tøbruddets fald, and the 2019 EP, Slagtorden.

With the second album in 2021, Det højes smed, a world of mud and fiery steel rose from interludes of blacksmith ambiance and pummeling drums covered in frenzied guitars and voice. This brought forth an era of skull-bashing, rib-splitting blackened pseudo-death, which has now led to the full transgression of barbaric metal, that is Skarpretterfossilet.

This third album decides to end the evolution of man at the most significant threshold of time, around 12,000 years ago, with primitive war metal and interludes of a deep time inner archeology BRODER builds a world where nature broke man, creating space for the live barbarian.

San Fransisco (CA) - Bay Area Hardcore/Thrash/Groove Metal quartet ALMOST DEAD will release Destruction is All We Know on January 26, 2024. The album is the band's sixth, and the first for Innerstrength Records.

Mötley Crüe udają się właśnie do Japonii żeby kontynuować kolejną światową trasę koncertową. Ale równocześnie, właśnie dziś ma miejsce kulminacja YEAR OF THE DEVIL czyli wielowątkowej celebracji 40. rocznicy wydania albumu, który był punktem zwrotnym w karierze Mötley Crüe: “Shout At The Devil”.

Takie kasety to lepsze od kobiety. Stęskniliście się za Hexorcist? Bo ja już trochę tak, choć nie można zarzucić Amerykanom, że nie dbają o słuchacza. Po zeszłorocznym splicie z Putrid, panowie postanowili przypomnieć o sobie po raz kolejny, także za pomocą materiału łączonego, tym razem w towarzystwie Morbid Messiah. Summoning Death to kapela z Meksyku, która założona została w 2014 roku przez dobrze znanych muzyków, bowiem są to działający niegdyś w Denial, Ricardo Gil oraz maczający kiedyś swoje palce w Shub Niggurath, Francisco Aguilar.
