Out of the cold stillness of northern Ontario comes “Twilight Glow” – the first single from Finnr's Cane’s forthcoming self-titled album, slated for release on August 29.

The long Canadian winter has many voices, but few speak with the introspective clarity of Finnr’s Cane. Emerging from the icy expanse of Sudbury, Ontario, the duo’s self-titled fourth album is a meditation on transition: the slow dying of autumn, the silence of snowfall, and the liminal space between nature and civilisation.

Though rooted in atmospheric black metal, Finnr’s Cane forgo many of the genre’s conventions. There is no bass guitar; instead, low-end warmth and mournful resonance are carried by cello and keyboard, lending the music an organic, almost spectral quality. Rather than follow rigid structures, their songs unfold through improvisation, guided by mood and instinct.

Comparable in spirit to acts like Wolves in the Throne Room, Agalloch, and Fen, Finnr’s Cane tread a kindred path but speak in a voice entirely their own – one that has resonated since their 2010 debut, “Wanderlust”, and continued through critically acclaimed releases on Prophecy Productions and Frostscald Records. This latest work marks their first collaboration with Nordvis, a natural home for their singular vision.

Hailing from the toxic war-torn wastelands and neon-drenched retro-futuristic ruins of 2029, where the rain is acid, the slime is green, and the leather is studded, ATOMIZATOR first awoke from their cryogenic slumber in 2015. Their mission was simple: to contaminate the musical landscape with face-melting visions of red-hot lasers, sludge-covered highways, urban desolation and atomic liquor, without firing so much as a single warning shot.

Their first full-length debut album, "Nuclear Booze Patrol", was recorded in May 2023 at a secret bunker (REC Studio) in Geneva, Switzerland. Promising total rotten malignancy with the superb visuals of this record, before you hear a note: you know this will be a gruesome listen. Fouling the air with a disturbing ambience, the disquiet of this record leads into a gloomy and sepulchral yet bludgeoning offering of death metal. Abhorrent riffing and ghastly vocals mold together in foul fashion atop powerful drums. Each gritty detail has a lot of force behind it, and the band instantly puts a butcher's hook through your flesh that keeps pulling you in for more fetid ferocity. This type of mid-tempo, groove-laden death metal has seen a lot of strong acts in the last decade or so, and Sweden's Filth are clearly going to be one of those names that stand out with their memorably intoxicating and putrescent soundscapes of decay.

For half an hour, churning bubonic guitars and guttural snarls possess you while brutal drums keep your neck cranking along to the rotten feast of death metal. This is an absolutely crushing listen that fans of the old school will definitely adore. Unpolished, unfriendly, and unwavering: Filth set out to concoct a disgusting debut LP, and they have certainly excelled in this endeavor. Your skull will be stamped into mulch, spilling into the catacombs below. Each stringy ligament of musicality is absolutely grotesque from start to end. Nemesis Sopor to niemiecka kapela, która powstała w 2008 roku w Dreźnie. Od tamtego czasu nagrali razem z tą, cztery płyty. „Firmament” ukazał się dwa lata temu, ale z pewnych względów wylądował w mojej skrzynce i przedstawia dość oryginalne ujęcie black metalu więc chyba zasłużył na spóźnione kilka słów na jego temat. Born and raised on the streets of Long Beach, CA, Lance and Steve Harrison have been traveling and touring the world since 2006 thru 2021, totaling 16 years with the legendary thrash band HIRAX.

They have 2 EPs and 2 full length albums as well as a live album and DVD’s under their belts.

They’ve played and toured all over the world including Japan, South America, Mexico, Central America, and many other places.

Mike Vega joined HIRAX in 2014 and played with them until 2021 as well.

The HarXsoN band started after there was no more room in hell. In 2024 HarXsoN emerged back on the scene with metal and fire burning within their souls, and the riffs to Thrash Them All.

After a long search for a suitable vocalist, HARXSON members decided to share the vocal duties within their power trio. Steve became the lead singer and Lance is doing backing vocals.

Brazilian Death Metal band VERTEBRA, formed back in 1994, have signed a deal with Xtreem Music revealed details of what will be their debut full length album that will be entitled "The Same" which will see the light next July 29th through Xtreem Music on CD & Digital formats.

VERTEBRA formed in Porto Alegre back in 1994, releasing their only official demo, "Humanity," in '95 and that same year recording another demo that remained unreleased but contains tracks that became the fundamental basis for their debut album 30 years later. VERTEBRA's style is a melodic Death Metal with a certain technical feel, heavily influenced by DEATH, with touches of bands like KREATOR, CARCASS, SLAYER... and classic Heavy Metal.

"The Same" is a work composed of 11 songs recorded during 2024 and 2025, which led them to sign with Xtreem Music for distribution and promotion worldwide, which will undoubtedly place VERTEBRA in the place they should have occupied in the mid-90's.
