Recenzja Flowers of Rust “Crude Exhibitions of the Soul”

 Flowers of Rust

“Crude Exhibitions of the Soul”

Apocalyptic Witchcraft 2026

(Czytaj dalej...)

Można odsłuchać debiut AZATOTH

From the hellish landscapes of Southern Finland, AZATOTH ascends with their first full-length album Carnal Lust of Blasphemy.

Carnal Lust of Blasphemy contains eight tracks of total putrid blasphemy that take you to a trip through the visceral hellscapes of the underworld.

Flooded with gory ceremonies of death, decapitating guitars, bone crushing bass, and grinding blast beats, the album has an ominous

blend of old school Finnish death metal, 90s American death-grind and

bestial black metal. AZATOTH draws inspiration from cult old horror

classics such as Hellraiser, The Thing, and many vintage zombie films,

capturing their nightmarish atmosphere, grotesque imagery and

relentless sense of dread.

Carnal Lust of Blasphemy is available now via Extremely Rotten Productions on CD, vinyl, cassette and digital formats.

Zapowiedź debiutu BOKKERIJDERS

On October 23rd internationally, Personal Records is proud to present Bokkerijders' highly anticipated debut album, Crush Kill Destroy, on CD format.

Hailing from Belgium's rich-yet-overlooked black metal scene, Bokkerijders formed in 2021 and soon released their debut demo the next year. An EP compellingly titled Silver Dust and Swords of Gold followed in 2023, further displaying the band's unique iteration of black metal. To them, Bokkerijders simply play METAL, and influences like Aura Noir, Slayer, and even Turbonegro all fall under the same umbrella - no subgenre delineations needed.

And so it follows with Bokkerijders' first full-length, Crush Kill Destroy. Indeed, their debut album does everything it says on the tin, but peer deeper and there's myriad (crusty, archaic) layers worth exploring. With a production style that's both ripping & raw and clear & gleaming, the Belgians uphold their banner of simple, straightforward metal - at its essence, pounding and pulsing and riffing and roaring - and their succinct songwriting flows with energy, excitement, and emotion. The riffs themselves stack on top of each - miles of them, seemingly - and their usage of solos is economic and yet exceedingly well-placed. As much as Crush Kill Destroy excels in both form and content, the record is a fitting epitaph for lead guitarist Wouter Lemmens, who passed away in September 2025.

Bokkerijders will now soldier on as a power-trio, and Crush Kill Destroys stands as a firm foundation for victories ahead.

Singiel EMBERS OF OBLIVION

August 21, 2026 marks a new chapter for Dutch melodic black/death metal band Embers of Oblivion with the release of their new single, "Drawn Into A Night Immortal."

Following their previous releases, the band continues to build on new material that blends aggression and melody into a powerful and distinctive sound. "Drawn Into A Night Immortal" follows the band's earlier singles, with more new material currently being recorded and scheduled for release soon.

Lyrically, the song takes the listener on a dark journey toward eternal sleep. The story revolves around the inevitable allure of the unknown, where pain, torment, and inner struggle gradually take control. A suffocating force pulls you ever deeper into a darkness from which escape no longer seems possible.

Musically, Embers of Oblivion delivers exactly what fans of melodic extreme metal are looking for: crushing riffs, relentless drums, the band's signature dual vocal approach, soaring twin-guitar harmonies, and a blistering guitar solo. Combining the aggression of black metal with the melodic foundations of Scandinavian death metal, the band has crafted a sound that is both familiar and uniquely their own.

With several live performances currently in preparation, Embers of Oblivion is looking far beyond the studio. The coming months will focus on new releases and bringing this fresh material to the stage.

"Drawn Into A Night Immortal" is available on all digital platforms. Stream at:

Nowy numer RUNEMAGICK

Runemagick presents third and final single for their upcoming double album “After Chaos: Nocturnal Vigil” called “Urðr’s Cosmic Weave”!

Listen to “Urðr’s Cosmic Weave” here:

Pre-order “After Chaos: Nocturnal Vigil” here:

Vast and indifferent, the cosmic tapestry stretches beyond mortal comprehension: an infinite lattice of cause and consequence woven by hands older than memory. This piece acknowledges the terrible beauty of that structure, neither merciful nor cruel, neither destiny nor chaos, but the cold mathematics of existence itself. To perceive its pattern is to glimpse the threads that bind all things, yet to remain unbound by their pull is the ultimate act of consciousness within the void. Step away from the present. Enter the Death/Doom/Pagan world of Runemagick! Listen in solitude to this journey and give it time to comprehend.

"After Chaos" serves as the gateway into the album and continues the journey that began with "Cycle of the Dying Sun (Dawn of Ashen Realms)". The collapse has already happened. What remains is silence, presence and the first step into what lies beyond. Rather than looking back at what was lost, the song is about standing within the stillness that follows, where something ancient begins to move once more.

The album "After Chaos: Nocturnal Vigil" is deeply rooted in runic symbolism, not as historical reconstruction but as living currents where the runes are approached as forces rather than mere symbols. That perspective naturally connects with my interest in animism and the experience of a living world filled with presences beyond human perception. "After Chaos" establishes that atmosphere from the very beginning and lays the conceptual foundation for everything that follows across the album's eight songs and eight runes.

Like the album itself, this opening piece asks the listener to slow down and give it time. It is meant to be experienced rather than consumed, allowing the atmosphere, the lyrics and the gradual unfolding of the music to reveal themselves. Dísa's melodic guest chants intertwine with my own vocals throughout the opening passage, helping to evoke the ritual atmosphere the song called for and inviting the listener across the threshold before the journey truly begins.

„Carnal Lust of Blasphemy”

Extremely Rotten Prod. 2026

Z fińskim Azatoth miałem okazję poznać się po raz pierwszy przy okazji drugiej edycji Death Is Not The End w Gdańsku. Chłopaki byli wówczas jeszcze na etapie demówkowym, zaznaczając jednak, podczas prywatnej rozmowy, iż materiał na pełnometrażowy debiut już się kręci. I się ukręcił, bo właśnie z głośników płynie u mnie „Carnal Lust of Blasphemy”. (Czytaj dalej...)

Siódmy krążek TÅRFÖDD we wrześniu

Today, Purity Through Fire announces September 28th as the international release date for Tårfödd's highly anticipated seventh album, En Känsla Av Hopplöshet, on CD format.

Since their formation in 2022, Sweden's Tårfödd have become a prolific force in the DSBM scene. With six full-lengths to date as well as nine singles, three EPs, and a couple collaborative records, mainman Simon Lindgren is a man possessed: supreme melancholy, bittersweet majesty, Technicolor textures, and soul-draining emotion have all become his stock in trade. And while it's not often that Purity Through Fire steps into depressive black metal waters, the label made an exception in 2025 for the release of Lidande and followed it up earlier this year with the band's sixth album, Mörker täcker livets ljus, and the Skyfall mini-album at the dawn of summer.

Now, with Tårfödd's whole catalog available under the banner of Purity Through Fire, Lindgren returns yet again with his second album this year, En Känsla Av Hopplöshet. The band's seventh full-length overall, En Känsla Av Hopplöshet picks up more than a few cues from the grimmer & greyer Skyfall. That concise and yet somehow-vast mini-album showed TÅRFÖDD in a rawer state, with Lindgren returning to vocal duties as well as handling all instruments, as usual - but even with this rawer soundfield, his emotive visions penetrated just as deeply. While En Känsla Av Hopplöshet is slightly less raw by comparison, LP#7 largely moves at a more violent gait, with blastbeaten speed utilized often and to poignant effect. And yet, it's Lindgren's integration of acoustic guitar here - both in plaintive relief, like the album's opener, or layered across the scabrous black metal - which adds another unique dimension to an already kaleidoscopic Tårfödd. Even with all that speed, Lindgren's songwriting is as breathtaking as ever, reaching its cathartic conclusion on the closing title track. It's no coincidence, then, that En Känsla Av Hopplöshet is slated for release during the autumn: the album literally smells like dry leaves, bleeding bittersweet memories across its barren path.

In the meantime, hear the brand-new track "Totalt Mörker" HERE at Purity Through Fire's official YouTube channel. Cover artwork, courtesy of Vindur (Drömskogen Art), and tracklisting are as follows:

Koncert SIGH już na początku września

Kultowy i jeden z najbardziej innowacyjnych zespołów w historii black metalu, japoński Sigh, wystąpi 4 września w krakowskim Zaścianku, gdzie towarzyszyć mu będzie amerykańska formacja Devil Master.

AVULSED z coverem ADRAMELECH

ADRAMELECH could not be missing from this ceremony dedicated to cult Nordic Death Metal. The ninth piece of "Nordic Embryogenesis" brings back "Heroes in Godly Blaze", a track from their 1995 demo, later included on the essential "Psychostasia". For AVULSED, this is no ordinary cover: it is a tribute born from almost 35 years of friendship and admiration.

You can listen to the song here:

Dave Rotten himself comments the following about this song:

"Everyone knows about my particular fondness for early '90s Finnish Death Metal, and ADRAMELECH is without a doubt in my personal top 5. They came from the same town (Loimaa) as DEMIGOD, and the two bands shared not only one of their members, but also the artist responsible for their covers, rehearsal space, and a great friendship between them. I always had a great friendship with DEMIGOD, but it was especially with ADRAMELECH that I developed stronger ties. Ever since their second demo, "Grip of Darkness" from 1992, we've been inseparable for almost 35 years now!

That same year they released a 7"EP, but it wasn't until their next demo, "The Fall" from 1995, that they took a major qualitative leap forward. I liked it so much that I reissued that demo-cassette on 3" Mini CD that same year, and also released their legendary debut "Psychostasia" in 1996. The song we've covered appears on both recordings. They later released a great Mini CD entitled "Seven" in 1998, one year after the famous Repulsive Tour '97 across Europe, which featured INCANTATION, AVULSED, DEEDS OF FLESH and ADRAMELECH. They then recorded a second album in 1999 which didn't live up to expectations at the time (I see it differently now, haha!!), and eventually decided to re-record and release it themselves. In 2005, however, I released their final album, which had actually been recorded in 2002 but had remained hidden away.

ADRAMELECH's style has quite a few similarities to DEMIGOD's first album, with that particular way of combining dark melodies with elaborate and varied Death Metal, although ADRAMELECH were perhaps somewhat faster. "Psychostasia" is an album I will never get tired of listening to, and doing a cover of one of their songs is undoubtedly the most heartfelt tribute of all those featured on this album".

A new piece of this dark puzzle will be revealed every friday until September 4th.

Debiut PROFANATION za miesiąc

Today, Iron Bonehead Productions announces September 25th as the international release date for the highly anticipated debut album of France's Profanation, Ultra-Noise Warfare, on CD and vinyl LP formats.

If Profanation's opening Skull Crushing Violence mini-album was aptly titled, then their Ultra-Noise Warfare debut album is even more so. Lead guitarist Kev Desecrator (of Venefixion et. al.) may've left following its recording, but this nine-song / 27-minute album absolutely DECIMATES and absolutely establishes Profanation as their own entity. Thankfully, their sound has hardly changed - think the unholy offspring of Hadez and Necrovore with more than a hint of the eldritch grind of Terrorizer and England's Doom - but across the entirety of Ultra-Noise Warfare do the Frenchmen exhibit a more world-eating aspect with utterly crushing aplomb. Just the sheer physicality alone, like classic Archgoat and Revenge run through an equally classic Swedeath filter, buries the listener under miles of nuclear vomit and human ashes. And while Profanation play with a palpitating urgency (read: ACTUAL HUMANS recorded properly without punch-ins etc), it's perhaps the album's slower moments that send the strongest shivers down the spine; every nerve alive will feel the megaton weight of the equally gargantuan (and perfectly titled) "Total Stomp" and "Realm of the Absolute."

If Angelcorpse said Exterminate, then Profanation finish the job with Ultra-Noise Warfare.

“War is from Shadows”

Iron, Blood and Death Corporation 2025

Cofamy się dziś nieco w czasie. Konkretnie do końcówki ubiegłego roku, kiedy to premierę miał debiutancki album zespołu, którego już sama nazwa zachęca do sprawdzenia. Że o okładce zdobiącej „War is from Shadows” nie wspomnę. (Czytaj dalej...)
