Portugalia na deathmetalowej mapie świata jest
raczej bladą plamą. Przed trzydziestu laty uraczyli świat pojedynczymi, mało
kojarzonymi obecnie wydawnictwami od Disaffected i Thormenthor i z grubsza to
by było na tyle. Co innego jeśli chodzi o black metal, gdzie Signal Rex to
obecne chyba jeden z bardziej rozpoznawalnych labeli szerzących skrajnie
podziemne granie ku chwale rogatego.(Czytaj dalej... / Read here)
stronicach Apocalyptic Rites. Przy końcu owych wynurzeń wyraziłem opinię, iż
technicy z Kraju Klonowego Liścia mają szansę naprawdę namieszać w tym mocno
eklektycznym gatunku, jakim jest Technical Death Metal. (Czytaj dalej...)
Release for the very first time on physical format of the debut EP from '22 (4 songs/ 29 min.) by this awesome greek band that plays a Sci-Fi Technical Thrash Metal for lovers of bands like KREATOR, VEKTOR, DEATH, CORONER, CRYPTIC SHIFT, ATHEIST...
Formed in 2016, Glasgow’s Midnight Force are a heavy metal band that set out to follow in the footsteps of their heroes of old – US heavy metal, the NWOBHM movement, and ‘70s rock – as well as inject some fresh blood into the genre they love so much.
On August 15th, Australian doom entity MEKIGAH will release their new album, "To Hold Onto A Heartless Heart", through Aesthetic Death.
Following the release of the single "Broken Rhythm Pressure", today the band has given a further insight into their forthcoming album with the track "Away Drifting From". The song is now premiering at Doomed & Stoned. Stream it HERE.
The fifth MEKIGAH full length album is a purposely designed ugly, drawn out, raw, awkward journey.
There's no attempt or desire to either embrace the slow slow doom, to aggressively technically impress or to build upon previous motifs.
Everything is caught between worlds, as MEKIGAH itself is caught between worlds.
Nothing is where it belongs as things are uncomfortably forced together through the sheer necessity of only gaining satisfaction via sonic self sabotage and harm, creating audial-mazes to which then have to delicately navigated through.

(Czytaj dalej...)

Today, Italian death metallers HUSQWARNAH announce their first new album in 3 years, "Purification Through Sacrifice", set for release September 16th 2024 via Time To Kill Records.
The announcement coincides with the release of the band's new single "Tower of Suicide". Stream the song HERE.
The band commented: “A vision of death and horror in this imaginary ancient ritual for redemption. The only way to purifying the soul is the ultimate sacrifice; a concept which belongs to a tradition of primitive rituals, but this instinct, unfortunately, still lives in the hidden corners of the human mind”.
Rzadko

Today, Osmose Productions announces September 27th as the international release date Diablation's third and final album, Irrévérence, on CD and vinyl LP formats.
After experiencing a journey into the depths of despair, Diablation imagine the future of a newly elected people saved from the emerging apocalypse. They depict this future in great detail in their new transcendent opus, consisting of seven tracks mixed and mastered by Seb BST.
The tracks evoke violence and epic emotions, inspiring courage, honor, and adoration towards the Architect of this world. The metallic anthems crafted by VOA are supported by incantations chanted tirelessly, backed by a martial, heady rhythm driven at a frantic pace by Rémi Serafino (drums) and Max (bass).
The final work of the group features the last words of their martyr singer Arkames, who is now doomed to silence. The work symbolizes irreverence, counter-revolution against modernism and liberalism, and the desire for a restoration of His Reign. The closing words of the work are "Oh God, I rely on you, that we can one day become King again." May this sentiment guide us until our last breath.
First track premiere to be revealed on September 3rd. Preorder info can be found HERE. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:

One-man stoner/metal doom band Nebülith has posted the newest single from its upcoming debut, Feel Good Music for the End of the World Vol. 1.
Follow Nebülith on Spotify to stream "God is Your Gun." Listen to the track here.
Written and recorded solely by project mastermind and multi-instrumentalist John Shaughnessy, Feel Good Music for the End of the World Vol. 1 delivers a heavy dose of doom-infused, psychedelic stoner metal.
Stream additional selections from Feel Good Music for the End of the World Vol. 1 on Apple Music.
“Nebülith plays very specific music, which is addressed to a narrow audience, those who love the intoxicating atmosphere of the 1960s and 1970s, or to those for whom the lysergic aura of standard stoner-doom representatives is insufficient. For me, it's the bomb. I would never have expected that this kind of crafting could go further than the recently emerging Italian brigades, who also compose psychedelic music, but not in such an extreme style as Nebülith.” - Apocalyptic Rites
Nebülith will release Feel Good Music for the End of the World Vol. 1 on August 23. Pre-order the album at nebulith.bandcamp.com
Legendary Swedish death metal veterans Centinex has inked a deal with Sweden-based Black Lion Records.
"Little did I know 6-7 years ago, when I was rehearsing and playing Centinex covers with various bands, that I would end up working with what I consider to be some of the finest bands in the Swedish death metal scene," comments Black Lion Records' Oliver Dahlbäck.
"This is an exciting development, as Centinex's impact on the genre is undeniable. Their unique sound and influential discography, which was previously released via the legendary label Agonia Records, have inspired countless musicians over the years. Memorable songs such as "Flesh Passion" and "Dismember Supreme" have cemented Centinex's status as a revered act in the Swedish death metal pantheon. To have the opportunity to work with them is a true honor, and the pressure is high."
The partnership between Centinex and Black Lion Records - a true testament to the power of Swedish death metal - will see the release of a two-track EP later this. Centinex is working on a new full-length album, due out in 2025.
The band comments, "Centinex has always been about not having any boundaries nor limiting ourselves to some pre-made formula, especially not musically but also “businesswise”, and for the coming years this will certainly be more evident than ever.
As everyone knows, metal today is universal and so is Centinex, but we can’t deny it feels great to 'bring it home' and sign with a label based in our home country of Sweden."
Today, Venice death metallers MEMBRANCE drop the video for "Spirar nel Caigo”. The song is taken from their latest album "Undead Island", released in June 2023 via Extreme Metal Music.
The band commented: “‘Spirar nel caigo’ means dying in the fog. Back in the day, the poorest and least fortunate lagoon fishermen, rowing in search of a good place to fish in the colder months, often found themselves overwhelmed by the arrival of the fog. Looking for food for themselves and their families without getting lost became the real challenge, but many people who were disoriented and exhausted from fatigue never found their way home".
MEMBRANCE were created in 2012 as a death metal project by Davide Lazzarini, but they began their proper activity in 2015, with the completion of the band’s line-up. After some personnel changes, the group released the first album "Abyss" in 2017 (Envenomed Music) and the sophomore "Morality’s Collapse" in 2019 (Envenomed Music/Narcoleptica Productions), developing a sound strongly influenced by the groove of the Scandinavian HM2 driven death’n’roll.
In 2023, with the "Undead Island" full-length (Extreme Metal Music / Rockshot Records), the band finally introduced more prominent Venetian themes, references to the ancient local folklore and the current social situation in their lyrics, developing a more personal concept. The new songs are more compact and tighter, showcasing an old school death sound with black and thrash metal influences.
In the last few years, the band also got more active on the live front: MEMBRANCE have become a well-known name in the local scene, sharing the stage with acts such as Entombed A.D., Benediction, Marduk, Brujeria and Gutalax, to name a few.
Further news on MEMBRANCE's activities will be revealed in the coming weeks.
CAMOS elevates the old hard’n’heavy obscure flame of glory in the Vera Cruz lands (Brazil), Curitiba, since 2000, so these guys aren’t new at the scene especially if you count with Sucoth Benoth in their ranks, Amen Corner’s bestial frontman. The truth is that, musically, you don’t get this kind of knowledge and experience nowadays so easily.
With “Hide from the Light”, their semaphore album, CAMOS powerful reign continues untouchable. 10 new songs ready to melt your ears with their horned chorus, their somberlain melodies to hypnotize our senses into deep slumber and the guitar solos to strip us from our souls. Overall, a fantastic production gives this work an in depth texture in which all heavy metal fans will relate in a blink of an eye.
A lot happens in CAMOS music and for all that matters it’s worth to be listened. For starters, there’s a psychedelic aura within the songs that bring together the pounding strength of the compositions. Also, the mystic and dark vocals, and lyrics make through the regular genre songs, almost if we could mix Mercyful Fate, with Master’s Hammer, Celtic Frost (Into the Pandemonium era) and Alice Cooper. So, we’re talking about a wide musical specter from black, to horror and heavy metal here which is very exquisite for all those who’re into these musical landscapes.
A real metallic treat awaits all your raising fists, the spirit of metal lives on and “Hide from the Light” from CAMOS will stand tall in the wind as your victory flag. Don’t miss it!
Cosmic and existential blackened death metal from Dublin, Ireland.

On September 17th internationally, Antiq is proud to present a brand-new EP from Hyver, Fonds de Terroir.
Hyver comes back this autumn with a new EP called Fonds de Terroir. After Sorcier Hibou (dungeon synth - 2023) and Noirceur Mystique d'Autrefois (sympho / dungeoned black metal - early 2024), Fonds de Terroir brings us to the deep countryside of France. Melodious synth meets energic riffs, heavily supported by a creative bass-guitar played by KK (Passéisme) and groovy drums by Summun Algor (Agnus Dei). Hyver's rough voice is joined by strong choirs and two guests: Sans Visage (Prieuré) and M (Krasseville). With cover artwork by Joanna Maeyens (Paysage d'Hiver, Ruynn), Fond de Terroir tells us about journeys through France between muddy fields, old stone villages, ancient abbeys, and haunted swamps, in a musical spirit close to Horn, Satanic Warmaster, early Finntroll, and Hanternoz. The focus here is the link between black metal spirit and road-trip adventures - being "en route" to the unknown.
Antiq is a label dedicated to the fully coherent concept of making music through sound, image, video, and attitude. They have been putting their entire existence into it since 2009. Over the years, Antiq have been identified as producers of not only perfectly coherent lyrics and themes through music, but also conceptual art and, of course, the manufacturing of beautiful objects. The label tries as much as it can to work with French creators, and if possible, with the smallest and most serious structures.
First track to be revealed on August 13th. Aforementioned cover artwork and tracklisting are as follows:

Veteran swedish Detah Metal band PAGANIZER, has just signed a deal with Xtreem Music for release of a new EP that will be the prelude to a new album for 2025. "Forest of Shub Niggurath" is the title of this new work, of which they have also revealed a first advance single as well as cover artwork and track list. "Forest of Shub Niggurath" will see the light next September 10th through Xtreem Music on CD & Digital formats.
PAGANIZER is a Death Metal band from Sweden formed from the ashes of Terminal Grip, first band of Rogga Johansson where he recorded two demos in '94 & '95, but it wasn't until 1998 when PAGANIZER recorded its first demo "Stormfire" and a year later their debut album.
The discography of PAGANIZER is so long that we're not going to list it all here, but we can mention it contains 12 full length albums, 9 EP's, 13 split EP's, 14 compilations and 2 live albums. You can check them out here:
Trough the last 26 years, PAGANIZER has been forging a reputation as one of the most solid, prolific and representative Death Metal bands in Sweden, never compromising their sound and always loyal to their bonecrushing style. 2024 sees the band returning to Xtreem Music where they already released their 3rd album "Murder Death Kill" (2003) and "No Divine Rapture" (2004), releasing a brand new 6-song EP entitled "Forest of Shub Niggurath" as a previous step to their next album in 2025 also through Xtreem Music.

Part I will be available on all platforms tomorrow, July 26. Album pre-orders will be available on the same day.
Unsurprisingly, considering the band's acclaimed body of work to date, this is no run-of-the-mill Tech-Death album. The talented duo of guitarist and engineer Norbert Müller and vocalist, guitarist, and composer Florian Engelke have outdone themselves again on Ontology of Nought! Epic-length tracks ranging from 10 to 18 minutes fuse into a cohesive whole that awes with the band's characteristic technical flare and progressive, compositional brilliance. The impressive cast of session and guest musicians adds even more vibrancy. Hearing is believing.
Track Listing:
1. Uncreation's whirring loom you ply with crippled fingers
2. To weave the tapestry of nought

4. Lest I should perish with travel, effete and weary, as my knees refuse to bear me thither
5. The barren earth oozes blood, and shakes and moans, to drink her children's gore
Today, Helldprod Records marks September 20th as the release date for Black Mold’s new album, In the Dirt of Oblivion, in cassette format.
PUNKS FROM HELL AND DARKNESS DEALERS
Black Mold’s legions are back. That means only one thing, get ready to embrace chaos and filth!
Expanding their reign of horror since 2018, the band has been quite proliferous on their fuck off and die attitude concerning composition so it’s not staggering to see them returning with their second full length intitule “In the Dirt of Oblivion”.
All those who follow Black Mold’s musical terrorism since the beginning be sure to face their ultimate bestial attack folded with relentless intensity and spewing ferocity, along all the 10 new songs that incinerate “In the Dirt of Oblivion”. It’s clear but it’s menacing, they do deliver you aggression after aggression while the overall sound smashes your head with an adrenaline overdose like never before.
Could we say that this is their best release to date? Yes, we could, but, for a fact, that’s not the issue here. Truly, these guys do their thing without caring about recognition or fame, these true spirits of the underground only have one thing in their minds. To drain the soul out of your body and fill it with darkness, hate and despair.
Listen for yourself with the track "Faint In Obscurity" HERE on Helldprod's YouTube channel. The tracklist and cover are as follows:
