Blackened death entity VØLUS is set to unleash another new addition to its rapidly growing catalog. Merciful the Dying Light continues the band's constant evolution with this genre-bending offering of blackened death metal.
Written and recorded by the band's lone member Justin Vølus, Merciful the Dying Light drew inspiration from themes of vampirism, cosmic horror, and Mesopotamian mythos.

Vargheist Records will release Merciful the Dying Light on streaming platforms and limited edition CD on September 7.

VØLUS is a one-man blackened death metal band from South Carolina, USA, delivering a unique blend of OSDM, Blackened Death Metal, and Progressive/Dissonant Death Metal. Merciful the Dying Light is the fourth full-length album in the VØLUS discography and the band's seventh overall release, including demos and EPs. The band, alongside Vargheist Records, was founded by Justin Vølus in 2018.
