With absurdly sharp execution, the quintet proceed to weave tales of high fantasy and grim allegory; you can nearly see the wizards and warriors across this sonic landscape. Each track is always moving, ever shifting, but with a path as crystal-clear as the production. Even when the chops reach a fever pitch of dazzling dizziness, there’s bountiful motifs and hooks to hang on to; the dynamic shading both provides breathing room and a deeper emotional center. Atop it all are the sorcerous vocals of Roy-Petit, who could be a dead ringer for both Bruce Dickinson and Geoff Tate circa 1984!
