Jakiś czas temu ten portugalski zespół zniknął z mojego horyzontu. Od ładnych kilku lat nie słyszałem ich żadnej płyty choć ostatnią wydali w 2023. Czemu tak się stało sam nie wiem, bo po pobieżnym odrobieniu lekcji stwierdzam, że cały czas grają zajebisty i tradycyjny black metal. By and large, the underground is a constantly thriving realm that is always spitting out new talent on such a scale that is simply magnificent to gaze upon. When one name pops up to gain the attention of the masses, there's a litany of others that are birthed out of the void that may become of note the future.

For many, the darkness of the underground is all they'll ever know while some rise above it to become a massive name in their own right. Others, however, are able to gain quite the following but still find themselves absolutely thriving in the darkness of obscurity.

As one of those notorious creations, Ohio's NOXIS has been wreaking havoc in those very shadows for a few years now, but it's with the forthcoming album, "Violence Inherent in the System", nothing short of staggering in every standard.

Convulsing death metal of the most sadistic sort, this is the sort of absurdity that comes for the very light of creation. Nothing is left to chance as the brand of death metal with which NOXIS wields with terrifying efficiency no matter how they go about it as the whole of the eleven tracks that adorn "Violence Inherent in the System" showcases time after time just how far this act has already come in hardly no time at all.

Where in previous works like "Expanse of Hellish Black Mire" we saw NOXIS take confident steps forward, every given moment of this creation is a tedious labor that craves only the flesh of its victims and to peel apart the souls of those caught in its clutches. As infectious as it is intense from beginning to end, this is a creation that fits perfectly within the deep crevices of the underground where only the strong survive, climb, and thrive!

Nothing can keep NOXIS from pursuing its blood-drenched destiny, not even a wild change in tone and approach that we see in the album's finale. As far as we should be concerned, "Violence Inherent in the System" is the magnificently victorious offensive that sees NOXIS not just coming out on top, but coated in the blood of the weak as a titanic figure rises amongst the carnage.

This is but of the first assaults that NOXIS will unleash upon the masses with "Violence Inherent in the System", and what a sight it is.

Kompletnie nie pamiętam tamtej produkcji, a skoro tak, to pewnie zbyt wielkiego wrażenia na mnie nie zrobiła. Płyty pokroju “Extinction Protocol” są w zasadzie banalne do rozgryzienia. Tutaj w zasadzie od pierwszej chwili wszystko jest oczywiste. Logo, którego odczytanie to zajęcie dla kryptografa, okładka, która wymownie sugeruje, iż dzieje się tu wojna, pseudonimy artystyczne muzyków, że o tytule wydawnictwa i nazwie zespołu nie wspomnę. Aż chce się zaśpiewać klasyka „I żywy stąd nie wyjdzie nikt…”. I słusznie, bowiem sztukę zabijania panowie z Primitive Warfare opanowali do, nomen omen, perfekcji. (Czytaj dalej... / Read here)

Australijskie Cemetery Urn powraca ze swym piątym albumem długogrającym i robi to, do czego zespół ten przyzwyczaił nas już przez te wszystkie lata obecności na scenie, czyli sieje rozpierdol, śmierć i zniszczenie. I bardzo kurwa dobrze, gdyż po pierwsze primo właśnie tego po nich niezmiennie oczekuję, a po drugie primo, ultimo, ich ciężki, miażdżący Metal Śmierci poniewiera bestialsko i nieodmiennie robi mi dobrze przy każdej okazji. (Czytaj dalej...)

No i fiński Nightside poszedł za ciosem. W zeszłym roku, po wielu latach, powrócili na scenę wydając demo „Lions”, a 24 maja zaprezentują swój drugi album w swej jakże krótkiej, bo zaledwie 28-letniej karierze. Wznowienie DÉTENTE - Demo 1985 w Extreem Music

 

After having released the entire discography of the mythical US Thrash band DÉTENTE (2 studio albums and one live album), we are proud to announce an individualized edition of their Demo 1985, one of the most legendary Thrash demos of those years, in various formats: CD-Digipack on transparent disc with silhouetted printing limited to 300 copies, 10"MLP vinyl limited to 300 copies in three different colors with silkscreen print on side-B, four-panel cassette limited to 50 units and T-shirt limited to 50 units.

This release is supervised by Steve Hochheiser, the band's original bassist, who has not only written some interesting liner notes on the history of this demo, recorded in two sessions, and some data that helps clarify the history of the group, as well as, for the first time, lyrics of the songs have been revised, which have always been shown incorrectly everywhere. There are also numerous photos from the period that have not appeared anywhere before.

“The Malady” is the fifth release by Death-Grind project FEED THEM DEATH, and it will be released via Brucia Records on June 20th, 2024 on digital and a special limited edition containing CD, Tape with low-fi one take rehearsals, a personalized notebook and a pin all placed inside a black mortuary bag.

Moshpit Nation is now premiering the first single "Panopticism II" at THIS LOCATION.

3 years exactly after the critically acclaimed “Negative”, FEED THEM DEATH are back with another slab of fast, dissonant and chaotic anti-music.

Eleven new tracks eccentrically fusing Grindcore, Death Metal, D-beat, Sludge, 80’s Crust-Punk / Thrashcore and Noise Rock with a deconstructed and improvisational jazz sensibility.

FEED THEM DEATH was formed in 2017 by Void, and have so far released 3 full length albums and 1 EP, building a reputation for their fiercely experimental and dissonant approach to extreme music.

For the first time since its inception featuring a full line-up, with “The Malady” the band delivers an unrelenting, unhinged, full frontal assault to the senses, creating something raw, sometimes flawed, but always viscerally real.

The lyrics are once again central to delivery of Feed Them Death message, in continuity with both the punk hardcore early scene and the project's own ethos of utilizing a vast array of counter-cultural references to engage the listeners in a fierce critique of the world around us.

A “fuck you all”, however spelt with literacy and intelligence, borrowing from George Orwell’s 1984, or from classical references like the paraboles of Sisyphus and Icarus, to reflect upon universals such as hate, guilt or human frailty, towards a possible redemption offered by the power of individuality and the freedom of thought: because yes, “People are a malady” and what we think we know is often “Deleterious”, but “Above All… and so below - tumult is the only thing aglow!”
