Today, Invictus Productions announces
November 25th as the international release date for Lucifericon's highly
anticipated second album, The Warlock of Da'ath,
on CD and vinyl LP formats.
"After opening the sorcerous gate through Al-Khem-Me-cal processes
on the previous album, we have again embraced every atom of the blackest mass
to conjure darkness from a more cabalistic perspective..."
Indeed, Lucifericon's Al-Khem-Me debut full-length
displayed the full fathom of the band's Metal of Death. While they'd teased
with a couple short-lengths in the recent past, that momentous 2018 album
created an endlessly slipstreaming (and endlessly fascinating) vortex of
malevolence and memorability. It was death
METAL forged in the fires of the late '80s and early '90s, but never was it
blinkered by that all-too-considerable past.
And so it goes with Lucifericon's
second album, The Warlock of Da'ath.
"Musically, we have always drawn influences from all corners of the
musical abyss," the band continue. There are noticeable differences
compared to previous material, but we do not stray from our path. In fact we
have deepened the path with even more layers than before. After shedding these layers
of skin from the phenomenal world, this serpent called Lucifericon will reveal
itself."
Naturally, within that cauldron bubbles black metal and also doom, alongside
that firm foundation of elder death metal. But the manner in which Lucifericon stir that
cauldron makes all the difference; verily, it emerges as DEATH metal, but an
incredibly nuanced and engaging form of such, shapeshifting (and subsequently
mesmerizing) with absolute ease. Compounding this uptick in songwriting nous is
the production on The Warlock of Da'ath:
neither "old school" nor pejoratively new & sterile, this
increased clarity simply heightens the intensity whilst revealing all those
tastefully subtle details. Taken another way, the sulfurous fog swarms and
swirls, slashing with ritual knives from the boundless shadows; the portent of
doom is sealed and unassailable.
The Warlock of Da’ath starts
with a warning, before devouring you whole with death, doom, and black metal…in
the darkest form imaginable! Lucifericon have
hereby eclipsed their not-inconsiderable past.

Sarcator Unveils “The Long Lost” Single From the Upcoming Album, ‘Alkahest’ [Listen]
Swedish black/thrashing troop Sarcator is gearing for the sophomore album, Alkahest, out 21 October via Black Lion Records on CD, vinyl, cassette, and digital formats. Aged 17 to 23, these reapers have continued sharpening their blades ever since their emergence in 2010. Sarcator is now streaming the lyric video for the track “The Long Lost,” the album’s third and final single.
Sarcator informs:
“‘The Long Lost’ is an experimental song but at the same time a pretty simple one. The western inspiration for this song really shines through in the acoustic intro, middle part, and outro. We wanted those parts to sound like ‘a man and his guitar doing his thing.’ This song is the only one where we chose to tune down the guitars, which we thought the song demanded to show the full potential of its heaviness.”

NECRODEATH released a cult-demo tape titled "The Shining Pentagram" and obtained an incredible success in the underground. The demo is still considered a real gem in the thrash and black metal history. Tons of tributes in major magazines, fanzines and other underground outlets highlighted the release of the first two legendary albums "Into The Macabre" (1987) and "Fragments Of Insanity" (1989). powrócił z nową produkcją, choć tak naprawdę nigdy się nie rozpadł. To ja z
niewiadomych przyczyn straciłem kontakt z tymi brutalami z Irlandii. Ostatnia płytka
tego zespołu, z którą miałem przyjemność obcować, to wydana w 2009 „Cascade”.

Entitled “Like Ants And Snakes” the album is scheduled for a 4 November 2022 release in digital and CD formats via Pagan Records. By now, Acid Witch require little
introduction. Since 2007, the Detroit crew of mischievous miscreants have
patiently crafted an ever-singular sound that's equal parts doom, death metal,
psych rock, and horror-movie soundtrack. And while their full-length
discography is semi-sparse, each Acid Witch album
is a momentous event, showcasing another dark 'n' delirious side to these Halloween-obsessed
savants.
Then again, since the release of 2017's Evil Sound Screamers,
Acid Witch have certainly
stayed busy on the short-length front, not to mention founding
frontman/keyboardist Slasher Dave's soundtrack-oriented solo work. That latter
element comes ever more to the fore on the band's fourth full-length, Rot Among Us. That preceding album
surely emphasized those synths, as well, bringing the band's beloved horror
canon of the '70s and '80s into sharper focus, but Acid Witch top even that
with Rot Among Us. Much, much darker and
deadly serious but somehow clearer and more
drug-crazed, Rot Among Us shows Acid Witch in rarefied
form, retaining their core sound but lacing each of these 10 anthems with a
lysergic sense of starpower that's simply larger than life. A devilish sense of
fun prevails, as it always has in the Acid Witch world,
but they take these arena-ready anthems in a gutsfucking and grimy direction
that's absolutely DARK at the very, bitter end - and all of it's threaded
together with acutely filmic samples, making that path to that end like a movie
itself.
