Dziś mała retrospekcja. W zasadzie nieco przypadkowa, bowiem na Burning Cross zwróciłem uwagę tylko i wyłącznie dlatego, że znajomy organizuje ich koncert w ramach cyklu The Last Words of Death. Formed in 2009, Chile’s Armoured Knight are a speed metal band who draw inspiration from such legendary / cult '80s bands as Helloween, Savage Grace, Not Fragile, Viper, and Pokolgép. After several attempts to solidify their lineup, they released their debut EP, Prophecy of Tomorrow, in 2013, standing out with their epic, fast, and melodic style. The band’s membership includes such bands as Hellish, Hemisferio, Mortal Whisper, Slicer, Deathsvn, Espada, and ex-Mayhemic.

Over the years, Armoured Knight have undergone various lineup changes but have always maintained their essence and passion for classic metal. After a hiatus in 2014, they reunited in 2017 with a new formation and released the EP Ashes of Glory and then the EP The Sacred Flame in 2020. Now, with that lineup – Cristian (guitar), Mario Vera (drums), Cristhoper Falk (bass), and José Tapia (vocals) – they are finally gearing up to release their debut album.

Zespół – krzak, czyli प्रलय, zapewne dał się poznać, przynajmniej garstce maniaków muzyki podziemnej, za sprawą dwóch taśm demo wydanych w zeszłym roku, nakładem Fallen Temple. Trochę nie do końca rozumiałem fakt wydania jednocześnie dwóch krótkich materiałów zamiast jednego, pełnowymiarowego wydawnictwa, ale trzeba przyznać, że zabieg taki był dość oryginalny. Kanadyjczycy z Panzerfaust swoją twórczością wymierzają cios w twarz ludzkości prosto z buta. Ich black metal to połączenie tych najbardziej skrajnych, surowych cech gatunku z jego atmosferyczną odsłoną. W zeszłym roku, nakładem wytwórni Eisenwald, ukazała się ich kolejna płyta z serii “The Suns of Perdition” - “Chapter IV: To Shadow Zion”, która tylko potwierdza ich wysoką formę. Afsky to solowy projekt Ole Luka, który muzyk powołał do życia w połowie drugiej dekady XXI wieku w Kopenhadze. Łącząc ze sobą klasyczny black metal z inspiracjami wychodzącymi z duńskiej muzyki schlager, muzyki klasycznej i popu Luk tworzy niezwykle charakterystyczną atmosferę, która stała się znakiem firmowym zespołu. Dorzucając do tego jeszcze elementy depressive black metalu oraz folku Afsky jest jednym z czołowych reprezentantów gatunku w ostatnich latach, co tylko udowodnił na ostatniej jak dotąd płycie “Om hundrede år” oraz występując na największych europejskich festiwalach.

Grają Zmarłym od 2018 roku. W 2020 własnym sumptem wydali EP "Ziemie Jałowe" a już rok później nakładem Godz ov War Productions ukazał się ich debiutancki album "Druga Fala". Wiosną 2025 natomiast premierę miała ich najnowszy album „Wielkie Zanikanie”, wydany ponownie nakładem Godz Ov War Productions. Niektórzy mówią, że Zmarłym w swojej twórczości łączą gatunki takie jak black metal, cold wave, post punk, hard rock, czy egipskie disco, inni że to po prostu hipsterskie gówno z kolejną głupią polską nazwą. Czy prawdziwsze jest pierwsze czy drugie stwierdzenie? Czy to już? Czy muchy wychodzą im z ust? Żeby spróbować odpowiedzieć na powyższe pytania najlepiej zobaczyć ich na żywo...

Death Has Spoken powstało na początku 2017 roku w Białymstoku. Do tej pory zespół wydał dwa albumy: debiutancki “Fade” (2017) i „Call of the Abyss” (2022) , EP „Doomed to Gloom” (2023) oraz splita „Unyielding” (2020).. Formed in 2002, Colombia’s Revenge have been keeping it true – and consistently – for a very long time now. Zawiera ona tylko cztery kawałki, które lecą niecałe dwadzieścia minut, ale niebywale dają radę. Chwila ta nieco się przedłużyła, ale biorąc pod uwagę zawartość „Ancient Cosmic Emanation”, sprawdza się powiedzenie, że na dobre rzeczy warto czekać, a jakość nie cierpi pośpiechu. After being out of print for several years, Xtreem Music has decided to put back into circulation the classic 1993 album "Iniquitous" by the legendary US band ROTTREVORE.

The vinyl comes in crystal clear wax with a green center ink spot (100 copies) and also in classic black wax (150 copies), now with a full-color insert. The CD has a new print with a metallic green background, and the cassette is in translucent white with green text. A new run of 50 T-shirts has also been made.

Gravewitch skusił mnie do odsłuchu swojego drugiego albumu tylko i wyłącznie swoją nazwą. Fajna. Wcześniejszych nagrań nie znałem, okładka też niczym szczególnym się nie popisuje, bardziej bym powiedział, że zniechęca niż motywuje, ale jednak w to wszedłem. Ta szwedzka kapela istnieje od 2017 roku, ale chyba jej nazwa nie jest jakoś specjalnie rozpowszechniona. Cipanowie grają black metal i w ostatniej dekadzie lipca wydadzą swój trzeci album. Na poprzednich płytach Szwedzi rejestrowali po dwa długie utwory, ale na „Blodsdåd Och Hor” odeszli od tego zwyczaju i umieścili na nim osiem kawałków, które razem trwają podobnie jak wcześniejsze produkcje, czyli trochę ponad trzydzieści minut. (Czytaj dalej...)

W tym przypadku chodzi o indonezyjski Incinerated, którego skład zawiązał się w 2014 roku. Od momentu powstania panowie, razem z „The Epitome Of Transgression” nagrali zaledwie dwa albumy i epkę więc do zbyt płodnych nie należą. Cóż, dwójeczka tego kwintetu ilością kawałków także nie rozpieszcza, bo oprócz intra i środkowego, instrumentalnego numeru to tylko trzy utwory, które nadrabiają czasowo, gdyż do najkrótszych ich zaliczyć się nie da. (Czytaj dalej...)
