In their endless quest to push and support current underground acts that perpetuate the odor of vintage death metal, Memento Mori are extremely thrilled to announce a new signing: Dysemblem, from Greece.
Formed in 2012 by A. (Vora, Injekting Khaos), Dysemblem’s story is one of continuous exploration and growth, with three demos, one EP, and two albums already under their belts. The current lineup is completed by V. (Chainsaw, Necrovorous, ex-Embrace of Thorns) on drums and newly recruited guitarist / bassist virtuoso T. (Burial Hordes, ex-Dead Congregation).
In a scene plagued by uninspired mimicry and predictable formulas, Dysemblem defiantly stand apart from the mundane crowd, carving their own godforsaken path beyond labels and meaningless worship. Reminiscent of the scene’s formative days, Dysemblem is a beast born of cross contamination: a sickeningly glorious amalgam of all extreme sonic forms that simultaneously embraces the rotting elements enshrined in the sound of death metal legends like Autopsy, Entombed, Necrophagia, and Bolt Thrower and the crawling pace of such paragons of misery as early Paradise Lost, Winter, and Unholy, while pouring a subtle pinch of the grim face of black metal pioneers like Rotting Christ, Samael, and Beherit to enhance the deadly potion's savor. Behold the coming of Hellenic extreme metal’s most unique offender!
Memento Mori will unleash the CD version of their third full-length on April 27th, 2026. Further details to follow in the coming months.
