Today, Osmose Productions announces May 30th as the international release date for Trivax's highly anticipated third album, The Great Satan, on CD, vinyl LP, and cassette tape formats.

Trivax unleash their magnum opus and third full-length album, The Great Satan. Not to be mistaken with a typical black metal title, The Great Satan is a bold statement on the dark side of Islam and Middle Eastern turmoil, particularly the devastating 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, led by the mullahs.

The cover depicts Ayatollah Khomeini as The Great Satan, responsible for relentless oppression, as well as countless deaths – including children (as explored in "Operation Ramadan") through religious extremism and deceit. Burning mosques in the background of the artwork reinforce the band's resentful vision. This is no fantasy Satanism, but real-world darkness.

Musically and thematically, the album embodies rebellion, violence, and ecstasy, unafraid to say what many so-called extreme bands will not. Beyond its fearless concept, The Great Satan is TRIVAX's most dynamic and sophisticated work to date, with razor-sharp production by Samuel Turbit at Ritual Sound.

Debiut REEKMIND na CD w Memento Mori

 

In their endless quest to push and support current underground acts that perpetuate the odor of vintage death metal, Memento Mori are extremely thrilled to announce a new signing: Reekmind, from Australia.

No more than a calendar year in the making, Reekmind was conjured up by Nick and Dane after deciding that there wasn't enough bands (especially locally) that showcase music similar to what they were going for. So, after a few short months of conjuring up some tracks, the pair created the songs that'd be featured on their debut full-length. After bringing on Lem on bass and employing Brayden (Aglo, Ghostsmoker) to undertake drumming duties, Mired in the Reek of Grief was recorded in late 2024, mixed by Greg Chandler at Priory Recording Studios (Esoteric, Cruciamentum, Grave Miasma), mastered by Dan Lowndes at Resonance Sound Studios (Cerebral Rot, Mortiferum, Excarnated Entity), and picked up by Night Terror Records for release in March 2025 on vinyl and tape.

Reekmind display an unorthodox take on death-doom metal with an underlying sludge element that shifts and cracks open the earth beneath to exhibit a melding of influences, such as Necros Christos, Crowbar, Mortiferum, Amenra, Adramelech, and Disembowelment, exposing the listener to slow, lumbering passages of woven misery via crushing, sludge-infused riffs that march with ferocity and malice, as well as vocals that cut through the mix with grief-ridden lyrics that tell a tale of mental anguish and struggle. Taking many different angles to perform an extreme debut album that provides the listener with a variety of extreme components, Reekmind is essential listening to further fall down the spiraling hole of sorrow.

Today, Eternal Death sets May 30th as the international release date for Wald Krypta's highly anticipated fourth album, Disenchantment, on vinyl LP format.

Since their formation in 2016, Canadian / American duo Wald Krypta have been known for their raw, uncompromising approach to black metal. Drawing influence from the early pioneers of black metal, their music is defined by hectic, unrelenting tremolo-picked guitars, grim 'n' harsh vocals, and a stripped-down production style that favors intensity over polish. Their three full-lengths to date - of them, 2021's Possessed by Nothingness saw the band linking up with Eternal Death - showcase Wald Krypta's commitment to the traditional, lo-fi aesthetics of black metal while maintaining a distinct identity. Embracing an abrasive and organic sound that highlights the cold and relentless nature of their compositions, Wald Krypta's music appeals to listeners who appreciate the harsher and more minimalistic side of black metal, offering a direct and unfiltered listening experience.

Four years on from that last full-length and, thankfully, Wald Krypta remain committed to their stratifying muse. Witness Disenchantment. Aptly titled, Disenchantment could almost be viewed as a treatise against nowadays black metal - and, going deeper, even against the fake "raw" style so endemic to Bandcamp the last handful of years. True, Wald Krypta are as raw as any (or even rawer than most), but such an unapologetic route doesn't mask a dearth of ideas. In fact, Disenchantment betrays something of an "unfussy sophistication," as riffs are doled out with strident efficiency and then subtly built upon, revealing new twists of texture and, daresay, triumph. It's that lattermost element that sets Disenchantment apart from the hordes, for the duo effortlessly evoke sensations sometimes at odds with their ripped-and-torn soundfield and garaged, tangibly human execution. The sum effect is both hypnotizing and invigorating, making for Wald Krypta's best record yet.

DEATHGOAT was conceived in the sewers of Hyvinkää, Finland in 2015. The first demo, titled "Rotten Salvation", was released in October 2018.. The debut album, "Regurgitated Into Existence" was released in January 2021.

Originally formed as a duo, the band grew into a five piece group in 2020 for the first live shows. Since then, DEATHGOAT has played all across Finland.

The musical style of DEATHGOAT is influenced primarily by Swedish and Finnish bands from the 90's as well as the new millennium, but goes beyond the ordinary old school Death Metal revival.

The idea to create a funeral doom band was born in 2015 during the Czech metal music festival Brutal Assault, where most original members of the band were present: Michał (guitar), Karol (guitar), Sludge (bass) and Kamila (drums).

In those days POSTMORTAL was officially created, joined soon by Dawid (vocals), and Sludge later replaced by Paweł. Rehearsals and writing of the first songs began and by late 2017/early 2018, the band were able to do two gigs in their hometown of Krakow, the only gigs to date.

In April 2018, Karol was replaced by Kamil and the band recorded the EP "Soil". Shortly after these recordings, the drummer left the band.

Despite a lenghty search, it was not possible to find her successor and as a result the band went into hiatus.

In 2024, two original members, Dawid and Michał decided to reactivate POSTMORTAL as a two-person project with ideas and focus on creating a debut studio album. In the same year, “Profundis Omnis” was recorded, adapting tracks that were mostly written during the band's early period.

Monolithic, bleak and primal - POSTMORTAL embraces the atmosphere of funeral doom overlords such as Thergothon, Tyranny, The Funeral Orchestra, Catacombs, Evoken.

"Wyrd" is set for release on March 28th, 2025 and promises to be a pivotal moment in the band’s journey, strengthening their presence within the melodic death metal scene.

“Wyrd” is an anthology-based work centered around a series of archetypes connected to the concepts of destiny, fate, and becoming. In Northern European culture, these ideas are encapsulated in the term wyrd, contrasting with notions of free will and self-determination.

Sznyt to kolejny młody przedstawiciel polskiego podziemia, tym razem pochodzący z Warszawy. Chłopaki to chyba dość młode, choć z ogólnodostępnych informacji wynika, iż przynajmniej dwóch z nich jakieś tam doświadczenie muzyczne ma już za sobą. W odniesieniu jednak do samego Sznytu jest to bez znaczenia. Z bardzo prostego powodu. Wtórować im będzie rodzime Deus Mortem Official, które nie dość, że tłucze jakościowy black metal od 2008 roku to jeszcze wydało w zeszłym roku przełomowy i dla sceny i dla siebie album “Thanatos”, obok którego nie da się przejść obojętnie.

Zmieniamy płytę i poddajemy się zupełnie innym dźwiękom, nieco bardziej melancholijnym. Jeśli jeszcze nie znacie szwedzkiego Year Of The Goat to zaktualizujcie swoje playlisty, szczególnie jeśli lubicie nową falę occult rocka z doom’owym ciężarem.

A jeśli szukacie ciężaru z zupełnie innej kategorii, pełnego wściekłości i chaosu to mamy dla Was dwie propozycje z Kanady. Antediluvian i Ceremonial Bloodbath, które pojawią się u nas w ramach trasy “Sprawling Armageddon”. To będzie combo dla prawdziwych die-hardów, bez żadnej dyskusji, bez kompromisów.

Usilnie szukając wspólnego mianownika z naszą kolejną propozycją możemy wskazać tylko na… kobiety, jako współodpowiedzialne za sianie zniszczenia ze sceny. W przypadku Antediluvian i Ceremonial Bloodbath w osobach perkusistek, a w anonsowanym Blóð z Francji w osobie wokalistki i basistki Anne Nouk.

Blóð to jednak zupełnie inna bajka. Dla fanów sludge / doom metalu ich zeszłoroczny pełniak “Mara” to pozycja, która z miejsca chwyciła za czarne serduszka i nie chce puścić.

Koniecznie sprawdźcie.

Nieco bliżej powierzchni wyciągnie nas kolejna kobieta, Francis z niemieckiego Wucan. Acid folk i psychodeliczny rock w najlepszym wydaniu. Nowa płyta w drodze, a zapowiadający ją singiel “Irons In The Fire” zdobywa same dobre recenzje więc to najlepszy czas by sprawdzić ich na żywo!

Jeśli o nowych nagraniach mowa, to nie sposób nie wspomnieć o Taraban - autorach wydanego właśnie minialbumu “Oath”. Proto-metalowców z Krakowa gościliśmy już kiedyś na Summer Dying Loud, dlatego tym bardziej warto sprawdzić progres jaki dokonał się w zespole przez ostatnie lata.
