Blackened death metal band GRAUFAR to release new album ‘VIA NECROPOLIS.’ The album is a groovy amalgamation of black and death metal, accented by melodic elements. GRAUFAR was founded in 2020 in Linza, Austria. On April 13th, 2024, the band released their well-received independent debut album ‘SCORDALUS.’ In the same year, GRAUFAR won the Wacken Metal Battle Austria and went on to place ninth in the international finals at Wacken Open Air.

Atmospheric Death/doom metal band SAD WHISPERINGS release their new album ‘THE HERMIT.’ The album ebbs and flows through dour but elegant Gothic passages, interspersed with the barbarous extremity of death metal. While clean keys and melodic guitar weave their tapestry of ghostly lore, the growls and impregnable rhythms grip a tight hold upon the compositions.

Dutch act SAD WHISPERINGS was founded in 1990 as Desecrate, first playing a more traditional style of death metal. After being influenced by doom pioneers MY DYING BRIDE, ANATHEMA AND PARADISE LOST, the band changed their name and switched their style to Gothic death/doom. After sharing the stage with many renowned acts, a number of line-up changes led the band to dissolve in 2004. After releasing new material in the form of the ‘STRATEGY OF TENSION’ EP, the band’s renewed energy inspired them to release ‘THE HERMIT.’

Diabolus, Mecum Semperterne! emerged from a shared vision of what orthodox black metal truly is—and always will be. The project unites four distinct yet fiercely dedicated individuals, each bringing decades of unwavering devotion to the music and ethos of black metal.

It began when Cernunnus—known from Manes, Manii, and countless other endeavors—reached out with riffs and ideas rooted back to the early '90s. His longtime confidante K.R. (Whoredom Rife, Bloodthorn), with whom he had strangely never collaborated despite a friendship spanning over three decades, was immediately committed.

As concepts evolved in collaboration with Terratur Possessions, it became clear that inviting B. Kråbøl (Misotheist, Enevelde) and E. Blix (Mare, Djevel, Vemod, Kaosritual) would enrich the lineup. EMPIRE OF DISEASE come from Bilbao (Spain) and formed in 2015 under the name of Nightmare Within. Already in 2018 they changed to the current one and released an EP "Silence is Violence" in 2019 and an album "With All My Hate" in 2021, consolidating their name in the Spanish scene of bands in their style.

In 2023, the band signed with Xtreem Music for the release of their second album “Shadows in the Abyss”, after which they toured extensively throughout Spain and the rest of Europe. On forthcoming album, "Esoterik", pioneering Dutch artist Jason Köhnen (THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET, THE KILIMANJARO DARKJAZZ ENSEMBLE) continues the alchemical evolution that has defined his work as BONG-RA. A conceptual successor to 2025's "Black Noise", the new album deepens the esoteric dimensions he previously explored on "Antediluvian" (2018) and "Meditations" (2022), while forging a harsher, more dystopian industrial architecture. "Esoterik" will be released on March 20th and contains five immersive, long-form compositions:

Jason Köhnen began his musical journey in 1988 as the vocalist/bassist for BLUUURGH…, an underground Dutch Crust/Death Metal/Grindcore band. Following the release of an EP and LP, in 1991 he founded the Death-Doom band CELESTIAL SEASON, gaining widespread recognition as a prominent name in the genre outside the renowned 'Peaceville 3'.

In 1996, Köhnen shifted from Metal to electronic music, creating the project BONG-RA and pioneering the intense Breakcore genre of electronica. His 1998 debut album led to a Peel Session in 2002, and established BONG-RA as one of the first acts to fuse Extreme Metal with electronics. The experimentation deepened with releases like the 2007 "Grindkrusher" EP, featuring BOLT THROWER samples, and collaborative releases with noise artist Maruosa in DEATHSTORM and the neo-classical Doom project WHITE DARKNESS.

Beyond BONG-RA, Kohnen co-founded THE KILIMANJARO DARKJAZZ ENSEMBLE and later THE MOUNT FUJI DOOMJAZZ CORPORATION, releasing a series of cult albums up to 2013. Over his 30-year career, he has collaborated with notable artists such as VENETIAN SNARES and IGORRR, performed at major festivals including Glastonbury and Dour, and toured globally, sharing the stage with legendary acts like APHEX TWIN, MINISTRY and THE PRODIGY.

After a brief hiatus, during which BONG-RA explored Doom, Electronica and Jazz – including via 2018’s "Antediluvian" and 2022's "Meditations" – Köhnen is now returning to his Metal and Grindcore roots. A deal with Debemur Morti Productions, also home to his Doomjazz project THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET, has been reached.

BONG-RA now prepares for a new era as a live three-piece featuring guitarists Attila Kovacs and Botond Fogl. This freshly rejuvenated vehicle for Metal/breaks fusion debute in early 2025 with a new record "Black Noise" and continues its journey with forthcoming "Esoterik" album (2026) and more touring.

On March 6th internationally, Personal Records is proud to present The Leaving's striking debut mini-album, The Leaving, on CD format.

The Leaving are a pan-international team-up of metal-scene veterans. Vocalist Dany Tee fronts the Argentine black metal outfit Los Males del Mundo; his vocal style is emotionally raw, blending immersive black metal expression with philosophical lyricism. Guitarist / bassist Kevin Storm is concurrently guitarist for Heretoir, and has previously played live with Shining, Vulture Industries, Equilibrium, and Kalmah; his style fuses progressive ambiance with heavy riff textures. Fellow guitairst Ferry Hofman is a Dutch guitarist active in Endymaeria since 2004; known for his work in atmospheric and melodic settings, Ferry brings textured leads and mournful chord progressions. And drummer Ed Warby is best known for his drumming with death metal pioneers Gorefest and long-running contributions to Ayreon and Hail of Bullets; his dynamic style spans crushing death metal grooves to expansive progressive arrangements.

Together, these four men comprise The Leaving, who are now delivering their first public work. This self-titled debut mini-album is a harrowing concept record that delves into the emotional and psychological torment of those left behind in a fractured relationship. With a sound rooted in blackened doom and layered with black metal angst, the 27-minute record captures the crushing agony of holding onto purity and hope in the face of emotional and mental collapse. Each of these seven tracks unfolds like a chapter in a fevered dream—where denial becomes refuge, illusions offer fleeting comfort, and the boundaries between reality and psychosis dissolve. The Leaving is a deeply personal exploration of love, loss, and the longing for reconciliation, culminating in a cathartic confrontation with truth and acceptance. Both the sum of their considerable parts and so much more, The Leaving arrive with a soul-crushing bang!

Oraculum pochodzą z Chile. Możliwe, iż część z was ich pamięta, bowiem zespół wydał już pod banderą Invictus Productions dwie EP-ki, a było to circa dziesięć lat temu. Na nagraniu debiutanckiego pełniaka trochę zatem chłopakom zeszło, ale wiadomo, że na dobre rzeczy warto czekać. A „Hybris Divina” na pewno się do takiej kategorii zalicza. Within the Astraktyan Serfdome, an astral antarctis unfolds along ninth-order curvature, where infernal depth is no longer vertical but orbital, diffusing into aeonic cryospheres of pressure in which gravity vitrifies and time contracts into polar recursion, so that resonance accrues as massed interval rather than sound, binding vectors, oscillations, and void-fields into a frozen serfdom of motion without direction, while meaning itself congeals into cosmologic frost, suspended in a permafathom continuum where no ingress is conceivable, no egress survives, and existence endures solely as lateral expansion - cold, uninhabited, and without witness.
