Blackened death metal band GRAUFAR to release new album ‘VIA NECROPOLIS.’ The album is a groovy amalgamation of black and death metal, accented by melodic elements. Through the use of both blackened screams and death growls, the album explores themes such as social criticism, the darker side of human nature, transience and death.
GRAUFAR was founded in 2020 in Linza, Austria. On April 13th, 2024, the band released their well-received independent debut album ‘SCORDALUS.’ In the same year, GRAUFAR won the Wacken Metal Battle Austria and went on to place ninth in the international finals at Wacken Open Air.
‘VIA NECROPOLIS’ is an uncompromising album born of vicious extremity, speedy grooves, urgent solos and brutal vocals. The songs aren’t afraid to step out of the shadows to offer melodic moments that thrive among gripping, bleak atmospheres.
