Recenzja / A review of Cave Dweller „Showing Teeth”

 Cave Dweller

„Showing Teeth”

Aesthetic Death 2026

Unfold, Pando... (Czytaj dalej... / Read here)

Minęły trzy latka i powrócili panowie z Tulus, proponując swoim odbiorcom kolejną odsłonę black metalu w autorskim wydaniu. (Czytaj dalej...)

BLACKENED DEATH METAL BAND ‘DRAGSHOLM’ RELEASE DEBUT FULL-LENGTH ALBUM ‘THE BLOODLINE OF BRAM’
(Listen on Spotify)

Blackened death metal band DRAGSHOLM release debut full-length album ‘THE BLOODLINE OF BRAM.’ The album’s focus on ghastly themes, including Dracula and the occult, are backed by the band’s macabre and morose style of blackened death metal.

The New Jersey based DRAGSHOLM, named after a haunted castle in Denmark, originally began in 2017 as a one-man project from musician Vlad Rituals. In 2023, the project officially became a full band when G.B joined on bass with Schlemi and Gravelord on guitars.

‘FROM THE BLOODLINE OF BRAM,’ is a concept album about Dracula and the occult. The album’s dark story is fully realized through visceral passages of blackened speed and raw, bludgeoning death metal. The album’s harrowing atmosphere is cemented by ghastly vocals and a rhythm machine that can make even the dead headbang.

Video od AS THE SUN FALLS

AS THE SUN FALLS unveils “9 Days Of Sorrow”, a deeply emotional and atmospheric single that dives into themes of grief, loss, and the passage through darkness. Rooted in the band’s signature blend of melodic and atmospheric death metal, the track weaves emotion with haunting melodies, creating a powerful and introspective listening experience.

The video brings the song’s sorrowful narrative to life, reflecting the weight of loss and the slow, lingering journey through mourning. Both musically and visually, “9 Days Of Sorrow” stands as one of the most personal and evocative moments from Songs From The Veil.

With their third full-length album, AS THE SUN FALLS continue to explore Finnish mythology, northern landscapes, and human fragility, crafting a sound that is as vast as it is intimate.

GAMA BOMB i OWLS WOODS GRAVES dochodzą do składu HELLS BELLS

Szczecin, Poland; 19 March 2026: Hells Bells Festival continues its build-up toward 26-27 June 2026 with a dual band announcement and a major logistical expansion.

The festival has confirmed Northern Ireland thrashers Gama Bomb and Polish blackened punks Owls Woods Graves, while also revealing that the event will now span three distinct stages at the Plac Gryfitów site.

Gama Bomb are widely known for their speed, technicality, and fun-filled, high-octane live shows. Fans in Szczecin should prepare for a masterclass in headbanging as the band brings their signature "thrash metal bomb" to the Łasztownia waterfront. The band’s latest release is the EP “Necronomicon Automaton”.

The bill is further bolstered by Owls Woods Graves, a project conceived by The Fall & E.V.T. Their unique sound, self-described as "haunted woods hardcore", blends black metal with raw punk energy and macabre storytelling inspired by witches and the Devil. The band is currently promoting their third album, “Strix”.

Nowy numer ATOMIC AGGRESSOR

Today, Chilean death metal legends Atomic Aggressor reveal the new track "Dwellers of the Unknown." The track is the first to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated second album, The Occult Forces, which will see release later this spring via Hells Headbangers. Hear Atomic Aggressor's "Dwellers of the Unknown" in its entirety HERE at Hells Headbangers' official YouTube channel.

At ground zero of Chile's still-thriving death metal scene, Atomic Aggressor had a strong hand in shaping that supreme sound back in the late '80s with 1989's influential Bloody Ceremonial demo and 1991's subsequent Resurrection demo. Prematurely, the band broke up but re-formed in 2007 to play a number of national festivals, proving that the ancient hellfire still burned brightly.

With two founding members at the helm, vocalist/bassist Alejandro Díaz and guitarist Enrique Zúñiga, Atomic Aggressor released a well-received split 7" with Death Yell in 2013, further proving that their barbaric deathrash had lost none of its violence & force. But that split was a mere appetizer for the band's long-awaited debut album, Sights of Suffering, which Hells Headbangers released to widespread acclaim at the end of 2014. Some 25 years on from their original formation, Atomic Aggressor continued where they started in the late '80s, but brimmed with a belligerence and bluster that belied their seemingly advanced age. Indeed, old dogs do old tricks! And they did those old tricks again with 2019's Invoking the Primal Chaos EP, continuing that fiery momentum as if five years hadn't passed.

Alas, seven years after that record comes Atomic Aggressor's LONG-awaited second album, The Occult Forces. Once again, time simply does not pass in these Chileans' world, for they pick up exactly where they left off with Invoking the Primal Chaos: pure and total DEATH METAL that's evil and a bit blackened, explosive but finessed. It's almost insane how Atomic Aggressor just don't seem to age, like some metalized portrait of Dorian Gray, and their execution here is sharper than ever, serving their songwriting with malicious intent and maximum overdrive. That The Occult Forces could've been released in 1989, 1999, 2009, or 2019 speaks volumes about the timelessness of the quintet's craft. More than a "throwback," however, Atomic Aggressor show that they're STILL the Real Deal; such songs can only come from those who grew up - and bled - in the 1980s, especially a landscape as lawless as South America. If there's one development here, it's that the characteristically maniacal solos are a bit more reigned in, more diabolical in their classier exposition.

All told, The Occult Forces is as swift as a missile at eight songs in 40 minutes...if it takes Atomic Aggressor another five-plus years to put out another record, it's not for lack of deadly efficiency!

Release date, cover, and tracklisting for The Occult Forces to be revealed shortly. In the meantime, hear the brand-new track "Dwellers of the Unknown" HERE at Hells Headbangers' official YouTube channel.

Debiut HAJDUK końcem kwietnia

Death to oppression! Honor the blood spilled for a righteous cause! Weep for the mothers, robbed of their children! Weep, for death gets everything!

Klip od LLOTH

From the depths of Hellenic darkness, LLOTH unveil the official video for Acherodas, taken from their latest album Archees Legeones (Ancient Legions)!

Immersed in a cinematic and obscure black metal atmosphere, the video brings the song’s haunting spirit to life through a ritualistic visual narrative of shadow, symbolism, and ancient power. Echoing the dark mythological undertones that run through the album, Acherodas descends into a world where mysticism, death, and rebirth intertwine; an audiovisual journey that captures the raw intensity and epic scope of LLOTH’s sound.

Singiel COGNIZANCE

Leeds (UK) - Progressive Death Metallers, COGNIZANCE, have partnered with Metal Injection for the video premiere of "A Game of Proliferation," the second single from forthcoming album, In Light, No Shape. Get in on it at:

Following 2024’s critically acclaimed LP Phantazein, COGNIZANCE return with In Light, No Shape May 1 on Willowtip Records!

Four LPs deep and a slew of EPs behind them, COGNIZANCE show no signs of restraining the pace of unrelenting inventive riffs and razor-sharp grooves. In Light, No Shape is a masterful Progressive Death Metal opus, rich in texture and atmospheric detail, delivering everything long-time listeners crave while channeling the mid-90s technical extremity of Death, Extol, and Meshuggah. This time, the band deliberately fractures the conventions of modern extreme production, opting instead for a more organic and visceral mix that sharpens the defining traits of their work.

In Light, No Shape marks the first lineup shift in a decade, as the band sharpen from a quintet to a quartet with founding guitarist Alex Baillie stepping forward as vocalist while retaining guitar duties, following the 2023 departure of founding vocalist Henry “Big Mac” Pryce.

“This record is a defining milestone for us. Taking on vocals has pushed us to re-engineer how we experiment with the blend of elements in our sound, unlocking new creative pathways to compliment the core identity of the band. What you will hear are four dudes all adding their flavours to the melting pot to create a body of work that felt completely natural to us.”
- Alex Baillie (Vocals/Guitar)

Numer z nowego albumu DESECRESY

The most dense, dark and disturbing Death Metal force from Finland, DESECRESY, rises once again from the depths to seal a new chapter in their alliance with Xtreem Music. Their 9th album, "The Secret of Death", will be unleashed on May 21st through Xtreem Music on CD, 12"LP, cassette and digital formats.

A new descent into oppressive and mortuary realms where the band reaffirms their monolithic, cavernous and utterly suffocating sound.

Listen to the first advance single here:
All Digital platforms:
Pre-save album on Spotify & Deezer:

DESECRESY is the singular vision of Tommi Grönqvist, who has consistently handled all songwriting and instrumentation since the band’s inception. From the fifth album onwards, he also took over vocal duties, pushing the sound into even deeper, more guttural territory. The band’s style remains unmistakable: dark, putrid, mysterious and hypnotic Death Metal infused with Doom-laden atmospheres, evoking the spirit of acts such as BOLT THROWER, INCANTATION, RIPPIKOULU, MYTHIC, ABHORRENCE (Fin) and ROTTREVORE.

With a clear artistic direction and a wealth of material from the very beginning, DESECRESY swiftly entered the studio to record its debut full-length, “Arches of Entropy”, completed in the summer of 2010. The album was immediately sent to Xtreem Music, marking the start of a long-standing collaboration through which DESECRESY has firmly established itself within the lineage of Finnish Death Metal.

A steady stream of albums followed under the same label: “The Doom Skeptron” (2012), “Chasmic Transcendence” (2014), “Stoic Death” (2015), “The Mortal Horizon” (2017), “Towards Nebulae” (2019), “Unveil in the Abyss” (2022) and “Deserted Realms” (2023).

“The Secret of Death” stands as DESECRESY’s ninth full-length release and the fifth crafted entirely by Tommi alone. The album continues the band’s relentless descent into oppressive sonic realms, blending early 90s-inspired brutality with an atmosphere drawn from the darkest layers of the psyche.

DESECRESY represents a fully self-contained entity: music, production and artwork all originate from a single mind. The result is a monolithic and immersive sound rooted in Finnish Death Metal, enriched with Doom influences, deep subterranean vocals, churning riffs and haunting lead guitars, often shifting through unconventional structures and tempos.

02. It Appears in a Dream

04. Crypthymn
05. Ancient Timbre of Demise

Kolejny numer od HROB

Today, Slovakian death metallers Hrob premiere the new track "Zotročený Oheň" at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. Hear Hrob's "Zotročený Oheň" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

With chillingly sublime cover artwork by Jan Vlášek as the literal icing on the cake, Hrob's Brána Chladu is a morbid celebration of those fertile years of the early-to-mid '90s, when death-doom rose from rotting death metal and each bled b(l)ack into the other, and thus highly recommended for maniacs of equally early Paradise Lost and Septic Flesh as well as DiSEMBOWELMENT, Asphyx, and Gorement!

Nowy BONG-RA do odsłuchu

Five days before official release, Industrial Metal pioneer Jason Köhnen (THE KILIMANJARO DARKJAZZ ENSEMBLE, THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET) premieres the full stream of "Esoterik", the new album from his primary project BONG-RA, on DMP's YouTube channel. Listen here:

BONG-RA's signature low-frequency weight, cinematic horn arrangements and percussive austerity remain at the core, but on "Esoterik" they are recontextualised, distorted, mechanized and reforged into a denser, more monolithic sound. The result is an album that feels both primal and post-apocalyptic, ritualistic yet modern, symbolic yet physical.

A spiritual successor to 2025's "Black Noise", the record delves deeper into the shadows and luminescence of the occult, expanding the ritualistic atmospheres explored on previous albums "Antediluvian" (2018) and "Meditations" (2022).

Köhnen comments on this fusion:

"I was curious to see the result of the fusion between the styles of the previous albums with the new path taken. Apart from there being a lot of similarities in atmosphere I wanted to be able to also continue the line with the more occult and archaic themes which set a great contrast with the futuristic dystopian atmosphere of (2025 preceding album) "Black Noise". The idea was already born during the creative process of "Black Noise", it was just a matter of patience to put those ideas into fruiting a year or so later."

Zapowiedź demo IGNOBLETH

Today, Italian blackened death metallers Ignobleth premiere the new track "Proselyte Pig I" at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated debut album, Manor of Primitive Anticreation, set for international release on April 17th via Caligari Records on CD and cassette tape formats. Hearr Ignobleth's "Proselyte Pig I" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Formed in 2022 in the plains of northern Italy, Ignobleth are a power-trio currently comprising A.L. on guitar, A.B. on bass and vocals, and M.O. on drums. At the beginning, the band's influences squarely focused on such bestial / war metal pillars as Blasphemy, Archgoat, and Conqueror. Eventually, their sound mutated a bit to include more angular gnarliness like Teitanblood, Kerasphorus, and Antediluvian. In their words, "Our music resides in the cavities and the ravines where death and black metal coexist in (dis)harmony…"

Ignobleth took to the stage in 2023 and released a demo, Rot in the Cave, onto YouTube. The following year came their first EP, Voidspawn Sacrifice, showing a distinctly savage understanding of what's black and white and red all over. Still, massive potential lurked within said cavities and ravines, and they've at last manifested in Manor of Primitive Anticreation.

Ignobleth's full-length debut, Manor of Primitive Anticreation is conspicuously beyond their more idiomatic early work: now, morbid and downtuned kabbalistic death / black metal. While the ideas for this debut album had been forming in their heads since 2023, the desire to do something completely different from the preceding EP intensified as time went on. Grittier in sound and style, Ignobleth here opt for more dissonant riffing, contrasting the low rapturous & fast patterns, with more frenetic drumming and a more twisted compositional style. The song structuring may be seem scattershot at first or at least bewildering, but there's order in chaos within this Manor of Primitive Anticreation: constant changes in pace and atmosphere, with frequent variations in BPM, different sound effects to embellish the tracks, vocal styles ranging from cavernous growls to high screams of anguish, more distorted bass, longer songs, ambient interludes (including a collaboration with Gnaw Their Tongues), occasional guitar harmonies, and plenty more are all threaded together with a delirious sort of magick. Which is all informed by an outlook and lyrics based on Kabbalistic magick, Sumerian mythology, Egyptian mysteries, and Lovecraftian abominations, altogether elevated from their old works, which the band admittedly liken to "Blasphemy and Archgoat worship " - a veritable ouroboros of form and content, art and artlessness, high and low, above and below. Dare you step into Ignobleth's Manor of Primitive Anticreation?

"Reversion to primaeval forms, capable of maddening at sight, erect protuberances filled with phlegm, virgin vulvas vomiting snakes, they sense blood with their forked tongues…"

Following the first glimpse offered by “Drain”, progressive death metal outfit FATE UNBURIED unveil their new single “Not Allowed,” the second track taken from the upcoming album “Neraspeme”, set for release this October via Time To Kill Records.

The song moves through shadowy atmospheres and underlying tension, exploring the weight of unspoken words and silence as a form of mental confinement. Musically, “Not Allowed” further develops the band’s progressive approach through shifting dynamics, intricate arrangements and emotionally charged passages, culminating in a powerful outro that breaks the accumulated tension and allows a sense of release to emerge.

The single offers another glimpse into the artistic direction of “Neraspeme”, a record where compositional complexity, narrative depth and a persistent melancholic thread coexist within an extreme and strongly atmospheric framework.

Further singles and all album details will be released in the coming months.

Drugi singiel od DAEMONIUM REGNI

Today, new/old Swedish black metallers Daemonium Regni reveal the new track "Spiritus in Flammo." The track is the second to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated debut album, Daemonium Regni, set for international release on April 17th via Darkness Shall Rise Productions.

Daemonium Regni not only marks Daemonium Regni's first full-length; as a matter of fact, it is the band's very first sign of existence. Mickael Broberg, its sole member, is anything but a newcomer, though. Mostly known as the singer of Unanimated, he has been involved in various bands and projects throughout the decades. Darkness Shall Rise are very proud to introduce his latest and possibly darkest band, Daemonium Regni. Let the demons enter!

SPARAGMOS ujawnia teledysk "Fashioned In Lifetime"

Legendarny death/thrashmetalowy SPARAGMOS przedstawia teledysk do utworu Fashioned In Lifetime, pochodzący z długo wyczekiwanego wznowienie drugiego studyjnego albumu Error.

Mastering materiału przeprowadził w 2026 roku Filip Heinrich Hałucha w Heinrich House Studio, nadając klasycznym nagraniom z 1993/1994 roku nowe, znacznie bardziej klarowne i dynamiczne brzmienie, przy jednoczesnym zachowaniu surowej, organicznej duszy lat 90.

W lutym 1992 roku kwartet wszedł do stołecznego studia Power Play, aby zarejestrować materiał na swój pierwszy longplay Invitation From Host Of Wrath. Zespół zaczął też pracę nad drugim longplayem, zatytułowanym Error. Materiał nagrany został z nowym perkusistą Krzysztofem Bentkowskim. Płyta wyróżniała się bardziej eksperymentalnym podejściem do ekstremalnego metalu, łącząc death metal i thrash z elementami technicznymi oraz nietypową strukturą utworów. Zespół funkcjonował do 2002 roku. Jego ostatni album Conflict pochodzi z 1999 roku.
