 Voidstar Nocturnal

„Nexus Teleport Fracture”

Godz ov War 2026

Jeśli śledzicie na bieżąco wydawnictwa Godz ov War, to zapewne kojarzycie kostarykański Corpse Garden, którego to rzeczony label wydał jakiś  czas temu drugą (w formie kasetowej) oraz trzecią płytę (full serwis). Voidstar Nocturnal to nowe wcielenie większości tamtego składu, a „Nexus Teleport Fracture” jest ich debiutanckim albumem. (Czytaj dalej...)

Recenzja Calvana „Sub Janus”

„Sub Janus”

Adirondack Black Mass 2026

(Czytaj dalej...)

Nowy kawałek od BARBARIC OATH

Today, Heroquest death metallers Barbaric Oath premiere the new track "Sword and Sorcerer" at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated debut mini-album, Sword, Sorcery, Vengeance, set for international release on March 27th via Caligari Records on CD and cassette tape formats. Hear Barbaric Oath's "Sword and Sorcerer" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Hailing from Germany, Barbaric Oath are a duo of G. and L., who between them number such hordes as Into Coffin, Nekus, and Putridarium among others. They released a three-song demo in 2024 appropriately titled Attack! Attack! Attack! However, it's the even-more-appropriately-titled debut mini-album where their aesthetic truly comes alive: Sword, Sorcery, Vengeance.

Comprising five barbaric-indeed songs in 21 whirlwind minutes, on first blush, one could say Barbaric Oath's Sword, Sorcery, Vengeance is a devout slab of the bestial arts: gutted, gnawing, insistent in its ultraviolence. Peer deeper into the mini-album's inky depths and one will find not only more death-metalled muscle, but a compellingly unique thematic focus: fantasy from '70s and '80s cult films as well as role-playing games like Heroquest. Thus, the combination of that with a sound more akin to the likes of Finland's Belial, Mythos, and early Bolt Thrower, Barbaric Oath keep their word to crush your soul - simple, but surprisingly sublime.

Epic Death Metal, or Fantasy Death Metal? Dungeon Death Metal, or Heroquest Death Metal? Whatever you want to call Barbaric Oath, your fate is sealed with Sword, Sorcery, Vengeance!

Mini NACTHGNAWER za trzy tygodnie

Today, Purity Through Fire announces March 21s as the international release date for Nachtgnawer's highly anticipated debut mini-album, Medieval Devourer, on CD format.

Formed in 2022, Finland's Nachtgnawer have recorded a demo, a collaborative split with WulfSeer, and even a live album - but so far, a more extended record has not arrived. Nevertheless, their pedigree is substantial, numbering concurrent members of labelmates Licht des Urteils, Sacrificium Carmen, Coraxul, Riivaus, and Nôidva among others. As expected, Nachtgnawer unfurl Finnish filth of a most millennial variety...but on evidence of the new mini-album Medieval Devourer, there's more to their charred cauldron than expected. For one, the "medieval" extension / appellation certainly applies here; for however restless and rabid their execution may be, there's an alternately melancholic / triumphant aspect to their riffing that suggests an acute understanding of France's notorious Concilium crew. For another, the haunting tubular-bells interlude "Process of Procession" splits the record into two equally satisfying halves, with the first bearing the bite of the vampiric - the aforementioned collaboration was titled Unholy Vampyric Supremacy, after all - and the latter melting into the heavy metal of the epic "Stench of the Ancient Towers" and the quick-hitting "Desecrator." What's more, Nachtgnawer apply the subtlest of synth in spots, furthering underlining those ancient links. This is the Medieval Devourer!
