Today, Me Saco Un Ojo Records in conspiracy with BlackSeed Productions announce November 15th as the international release date for a brand-new mini-album from Trollcave, Adoration of the Abyssal Trespasser. Me Saco Un Ojo will release the 12" vinyl version while BlackSeed will handle the CD version.

Trollcave, Spain's funereal death-doom titans, are back with a new record. Following their 2021 EP, 2022 debut LP, and recent split with Putridarium, here comes another crowing opus of decay.

Obsidian Mantra to krajowy przedstawiciel death metalu, który w tym roku świętuje dziesięciolecie założenia.  Dziesięć lat to okres czasu, po którym z pewnością można stwierdzić, czy z danej mąki wyrósł jakiś chleb, czy nie. W przypadku Wielkopolan chlebek rośnie i coraz bardziej się rumieni. O ile wcześniejsze nagrania zespołu przechodziły mi jakoś bokiem (albo raczej przelatywały przez głowę bez większego szału), tak „As We All Will” ma już w sobie coś, nad czym warto zatrzymać się na dłużej. (Czytaj dalej...)

Polish blackened sludge act FIASKO have unveiled the first track off their upcoming album “AMOK ꓘOMA”. Entitled “Wniwecz” (translates to ‘Into Naught’). The single is accompanied by a music video created in collaboration with This Is Madness. This is the band’s first new track in almost five years.

Tomasz Mielnik, FIASKO’s vocalist and lyricist, said: ‘Wniwecz’ paints the picture of a delayed apocalypse that we - humanity - create for ourselves. We rush forward swiftly and carelessly, until the very end not seeing the steep cliff we are heading towards.”

“AMOK ꓘOMA” will be released on 15 November 2024 in jewelcase CD format and via all major streaming platforms. It will also be available for purchase via Godz ov War Productions and Malignant Voices. Pre-order information coming soon. Comprising eight songs, the tracks are about death and love, love for death and the death of love.

FIASKO started working on the album immediately after their last release, the “Mizantropolia” EP which saw the light of day in February 2020. The band’s efforts were hindered by the lack of a drummer, however, that was rectified after Tomek Walczak (Chainsword, Tankograd, Weedpecker etc.) was invited in 2023 to collaborate and arrange the drum tracks as a guest/session drummer.

All instruments for “AMOK ꓘOMA” were recorded at Santa Studio under the watchful eye and ear of Mikołaj Kiciak. The vocals were recorded at Burning Tones by Adam Ziółkowski, who is also responsible for mixing the album. The recording was then mastered by Haldor Grunberg at Satanic Audio (Behemoth, Me and that Man, Gruzja, Thaw).

The artwork to “AMOK ꓘOMA” was created by Robert A. von Ritter (Hooded Menace, Urfaust, Malokarpatan, Outre, In Twilight's Embrace) while the album’s booklet layout and design is the work of Paweł Marzec of Kontamination Design (Dimmu Borgir, Morbus Chron, Blaze of Perdition, Manbryne).

Dziewiąty album ASENHEIM w grudniu

 

On December 10th internationally, Dominance of Darkness Records is proud to present Asenheim's highly anticipated ninth album, Wolkenbrecher, on CD and vinyl LP formats.

Hailing from Germany, Asenheim was founded in 2004 under the original name Sins of Desire. The founding members at the time included Tiwaz on rhythm guitar and vocals and Verdensanskuels on lead guitar and keyboard. Since the lyrical themes increasingly dealt with pagan themes, the name was changed to Asenheim in 2006. Sometime later, Norse Raider joined as bassist. Unfortunately, rehearsals together were far too rare, which is why Asenheim developed into a solo project for Tiwaz.

After numerous demo recordings, the first Asenheim album, simply self-titled Asenheim, and the mini-album Sehnsucht were created in 2012. Already, here it was clear in which direction the music should develop. The album was musically and lyrically permeated by fantasy elements and old legends. The mini-album, on the other hand, was a confrontation with bitter, cold reality and was also much harder musically. A drum machine was used on all releases at this point.

The stylistic elements of these two releases were combined for the second Asenheim album, wenn die Nacht.... To give the album a livelier sound, Tiwaz was looking for a drummer and came in contact with Valfor. Initially planned as a session drummer, he soon became an integral part of Asenheim and, in addition to playing the drums, took over a large part of the synthesizers and also the mixing of the albums. This was followed by six more albums, a single, and a mini-album.

From oldest Teutonic steel to the pagan vastlands of Eastern Europe and even south of Helvete in ancient Hellas, Asenheim's black metal is rich in its splendor and multifaceted in its approach. Wolkenbrecher is a 52-minute journey into their rarefied realm, and one you'll want to remain in for time eternal.

The track is the second to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated fifth album, Hymns to the Norse, set for an international release on October 18th via De Tenebrarum Principio, a division of ATMF. Hymns to the Norse - the new album from Seid, active since 2009 and purveyors of proud pagan black metal in the ancient tradition - takes great inspiration from the old folk music of the Scandinavian region. In many ways, this album is more of a concept album than 2022's preceding Svart Sól was. The sejd drum intro "Hymn To Ivar" opens it up in an even-more-traditional fashion, but then you get brass sections and the sound develops more and more throughout the album towards something more recognizably black metal. "Hymn to the North" closes the album, referring to the fact that all the songs you just heard were hymns: previously untold but, in our common ancestry, deeply buried.

With Seid's raw, lo-fi sound, eerie vocals, sejd drum, Hammond organs, and haunting atmospheres, this album pushes the boundaries of black metal while exploring the Norse roots. Hymns to the Norse takes you to the past…and brings the past into you.

Even the production itself sounds era-authentic - dank, dingy, and dungeoned, but no less muscular - and while tones and ​textures can form a solid foundation for many a death metal record, it's the hands of those who build that ​noble foundation that matter most: Ancient Malignity thus duly excel at the art of labyrinthine-yet-linear songwriting, making Dehumanization Dawn a most enticing spelunk among ancient corridors.
