“Vestiges of Tortured Souls”

Nuclear Winter Rec. 2026

(Czytaj dalej...)

To kapela nowa. (Czytaj dalej...)

Ciekaw jestem, ile z was potrafiłoby odczytać nazwę zespołu, gdybym wrzucił tu jedynie okładkę, bez podpisu. (Czytaj dalej...)

Singiel TEMPLE OV AHRIMAN

Today, American black metallers Temple ov Ahriman premiere the new track "White Death" at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated debut album, Heretics of Consensual Reality, set for international self-release on June 26th. Hear Temple ov Ahriman's "White Death" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Temple ov Ahriman is a one-man black metal band hailing from Austin, Texas. Conceived during the Covid-19 pandemic, TAO is the culmination of several years of intense songwriting activity. Mainman and mastermind Thornicator states, "Years ago, my other band was to record an album, but our studio time was delayed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Never one to sit idle for too long, I took the opportunity to write music for a follow-up release. What followed was a prolific period unlike anything I'd experienced before or since, and it quickly became apparent that I perhaps had too much material for just one band to learn and record. With the encouragement of a few good friends, I eventually decided to start my own spin-off project and thus Temple ov Ahriman was born."

TAO is slated to make their mark this summer with the release of their debut full-length. Clocking in at a little over 42 minutes, Heretics of Consensual Reality is a tour de force that is guaranteed to take the listener on a journey. "It was a little Hell seeing this project through to completion," Thornicator states. "Several years, thousands of dollars, and three studios later, I finally have a master recording that I feel does the material justice. It was my unwavering belief in the material that pushed me to continue despite innumerable setbacks."

Combining elements of second-wave black metal, contemporary Finnish black metal, and D-beat, Temple ov Ahriman is poised to take the underground by storm.

RUYNED prezentują numer z nowej płyty

Today, blackthrashing speed metallers Ruyned reveal the new track "Profanum Sacrificium." The track is the first to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated second album, Profanum Sacrificium, set for international release on June 26th via Osmose Productions. Hear Ruyned's title track "Profanum Sacrificium" in its entirety HERE at Osmose's official YouTube channel.

Forged in the underground of Romania, Ruyned unleash their most ferocious and unrelenting material, Profanum Sacrificium, a blasphemous speed metal assault infused with elements of black, thrash, and heavy metal.

The intro sets the calm before the storm. From the ripping assault of "Speedchain" to the depraved madness of "Sex'N Speed" and "Sex Commander 666," going through the sinister tale of "Vampire of Düsseldorf inspired by Peter Kürten, Ruyned channel raw violence and decadence in its purest form. From "Daemonium Ritualis" onward, the record descends into a dark conceptual journey through the European witch hunts of the 15th–17th centuries. Through "Profanum Sacrificium," "Malleus Maleficarum," and "Witches Gallöw," the band conjures a world of fire, mysticism, and ritual death. The closing outro retells this tale as a melody sung by a bard at a royal banquet.

Fast. Raw. Rabid. Merciless. Total speed metal violence.

Jeszcze jeden z numer z nowego HORRIFIER

Today, Norwegian death metallers Horrifier reveal the new track "The Ingestion." The track is the second to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated second album, Revelations of Gore, set for international release on August 7th via Personal Records. Hear Horrifier's "The Ingestion" in its entirety HERE at Personal Records' Bandcamp.

Hailing from Norway, Horrifier have been vomiting pure, old-school brutality straight from the underground since 2022. Drawing inspiration from the legendary death metal bands of the late '80s and early '90s, the quartet channel the rotting sounds of Autopsy, the gnarly filth of Entombed, and the feral aggression of Repulsion.

Released in 2023 by Personal, Horrifier's celebrated debut album, Horrid Resurrection, delivered uncompromising DEATH METAL built on crushing riffs, relentless drumming, and cavernous vocals that sound dragged up from the depths of the grave. No polish, no trends, and no modern gloss; only the raw stench of death metal the way it was meant to be: primitive, violent, and merciless. Horrifier's sound here was putrid, aggressive, and relentlessly primitive, a putrid homage to the genre’s most savage roots.

Now, the Norwegians return with their second full-length, Revelations of Gore: a concept record steeped in death, desperation, and ritual slaughter. Horrifier's second album follows a dying man who, standing at the edge of his final breath, encounters a monstrous entity offering him eternal life - but immortality demands a price… Driven by the fear of death, the man begins feeding the creature with human sacrifices in exchange for more time among the living. What starts as desperation slowly turns into obsession, as the line between survival and damnation fades beneath a growing pile of corpses.

Suitably, Horrifier musically illustrate this desperation & dementia with deft moves between relentless violence and suffocating darkness. Whilst retaining the band's core sound, Revelations of Gore sees bludgeoning riffs and savage tempos colliding with slower, ominous passages that build a heavy atmosphere of dread and decay, mirroring the protagonist’s descent into madness. The production is predictably crushing and richly organic, staying true to the original ethos of the Metal of Death: No gimmicks. No mercy. Only DEATH.

AZELS MOUNTAIN wydadzą tzreci album dla Pagan Records

Azels Mountain, the Polish black metal project formed in 2013, has signed with Pagan Records for a June release of their third album entitled “Echa Krwi”.

On this new album, Azels Mountain continues its descent into darker and more reflective territories, channelling themes of memory, blood, sacrifice and transcendence through a colder, more expansive musical expression shaped by both mystic reflection and the lingering shadows of more recent historical experience.

Compared to previous releases, “Echa Krwi” is a more mature and culturally rooted vision. Beyond the foundations of underground black metal, the album draws inspiration from classical Polish music, literature and the spiritual atmosphere woven through the nation’s artistic heritage. Echoes of melancholy, longing, pride, and existential struggle permeate the compositions, giving the record a distinctly Polish character. The result is an album that channels the spirit of forgotten landscapes, ancestral memory, and the restless soul embedded within Polish culture itself, transforming “Echa Krwi” into something both deeply personal and timeless.

Sirkis completed the artwork for the new album, while Zaćma Visual Studio handled photography. Renowned designer Christophe Szpajdel crafted the band’s refreshed logo. On the production front, the material was recorded at M23 Studio, with mixing and mastering duties executed by Satanic Audio.

Further information and pre-order details to be revealed shortly.

EP-ka PVRGATORII do sprawdzenia

Invisible Oranges is hosting the exclusive premiere of the new EP by Spanish black-death metal punks PVRGATORII, titled “Profane Rites For Cursed Times”, ahead of its release on May 29, 2026 via Night Terrors Records. The release marks a new step in the band’s evolution and will arrive as a strictly limited 100-copy edition on one-sided 12” black vinyl, complete with OBI strip, insert and an extensive 16-page fanzine entirely dedicated to the project.

The EP further refines PVRGATORII’s self-defined “Black Metal ov Death” approach, blending raw black metal ferocity, punk urgency and abrasive noise into a sound that remains tense, hostile and uncompromising. Far from stylistic compromise or modern fusion trends, the band continues to pursue a harsh, atmospheric vision rooted in extremity and shaped by their connection to the Barcelona underground.

CASTLE zapowiadają nowy album

US/Canadian heavy doom outfit Castle have just announced their new album Carrie Chains, which will be released on 4th September via Hammerheart Records. In celebration, the lead single of the album 'Carry Chains' is now streaming on all digital platforms.

Watch the official music video for 'Carry Chains' here: https://youtu.be/O5w7HYQ4V_o

Carrie Chains shows Castle at new heights of constructing their trademark serpentine riffs into powerful anthemic hooks while the whiskey throated vocals of powerhouse singer Liz Blackwell fill every spooky nook and cranny to intoxicating effect. Taking influence from the 70’s/80’s riff-heavy maestros like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Mercyful Fate and keeping a stripped down attack sound, Castle channel that classic heavy-metal DNA into something leaner, meaner, and unmistakably their own.

Toronto death metallers Apogean’s newest single “Daughter of the Oak” is now available on all streaming/digital platforms. Featuring Laura C. Bates (Völur) — who also contributed violin and choir arrangements to several other tracks — this blackened death number comes as the second preview from the band’s upcoming full-length, Waste Where Life Begins, set for release physically (CD, vinyl) and digitally on July 10th via The Artisan Era.

“‘Daughter of the Oak’ was the first song that Apogean composed for this album,” says Apogean. “We wanted to dive straight into this musical collection with an intensity that we’ve been seeking to deliver in our previous records but haven’t quite achieved.

“This track represents everything that we seek to maintain and evolve in our sound, so we thought it would be appropriate to step right into it as the premier track. While introducing some fresh elements, it also maintains a technical style that we’ve developed in our previous releases.”

Nowy DEFILED za dwa tygodnie

DEFILED will release their ninth album, Altered State, on June 12th via Season of Mist. The album's title track is out today, accompanied by a music video, and it's a reasonable entry point into what the record is doing: tempo shifts that owe more to progressive and fusion logic than death metal convention, with a structure that resists easy mapping on first listen.

The album draws lyrically from George Orwell's 1984, using its dystopian framework as a lens for surveillance, doublespeak, and mass control; territory that feels less like concept record and more like a band processing the present in the only language available to them. Musically, Defiled remain where they've always been: outside the lineage. Neither old-school revivalists nor technical death metal practitioners, they've evolved in isolation since the early '90s, and Altered State is the sharpest distillation of that yet.

Debiut GRIMVEIL za dwa tygodnie

Today, Purity Through Fire announces June 5th as the international release date Grimveil's striking debut album, Beneath the Veil of Silent Woods, on digipack CD format.

Grimveil is a brand-new formation between two current pillars of Purity Through Fire, Revenant (Order of Nosferat, Sarkrista, Siechknecht, Velmorth) and Tårfödd's Simon Lindgren. Revenant explains the genesis of the project: "After working together with Simon on the latest Tårfödd album, we decided to start a new project, as well, one that goes deeper into themes of nature, forests, and the atmosphere of the woods. Living right at the edge of the woods, nature has been a huge source of inspiration for me. A lot of the ideas and moods behind this project came from my daily walks with my dog through the forest, especially during quiet foggy mornings and late evenings out there. We wanted to capture exactly that feeling within this project."

Indeed they do on Grimveil's first full-length, Beneath the Veil of Silent Woods. Too perfectly titled, this eight-song / 62-minute record lays forth a landscape of misty melancholia & mysticism, nostalgia for rustic pre-Industrial Revolution times, and the awe-inspiring grandiosity of nature untouched by human hands. With Lindgren handling all music and Revenant on vocals, the form may seem somewhat familiar, but the content - as channeled through these two creative, ultra-prolific men - most definitely elevates itself above what the two may accomplish separately. Mostly mid-to-downtempo but not without bursts of lashing speed, Beneath the Veil of Silent Woods works a majestic, mesmerizing spell through somberly melodic riffing and the heartfelt ripped throat of Revenant. Coupled with extended all-acoustic sections and a faint fog of ethereal synth, Grimveil truly invoke the sensations of solitary forest contemplation. The journey begins Beneath the Veil of Silent Woods!

Debiut TORPOR w lipcu

DYING VICTIMS PRODUCTIONS is proud to present the highly anticipated debut album of Poland’s TORPOR, Ðungeon Ðescent, on CD and vinyl LP formats.

TORPOR were formed in Warsaw by three school friends and music fans under the huge influence of Bathory. While recording their first release, Burning Realms / Behold the Spell of Black Fortress, in dusk of 2017, the band were laying their music foundations inspired by the epic side of black and the haunted / melancholic side of early ‘80s heavy metal.

Since their last release – 2021’s The Ancient Tales EP, which was actually recorded in 2019 – TORPOR parted ways with their drummer, who alongside Mike Magister I.V. and Franciszek Archont, was a founding member of the trio. Upon the arrival of a new drummer and long-time friend, Bloodhammer, they recorded their debut album. It marks the result of their work and path undertaken.
"We knew it was our direction to follow and polish, so now, after some time, we can happily present our debut album, Ðungeon Ðescent,” the band state. “It is our first real record that pictures our vision exactly how we liked to. After years of wandering around basement rehearsal rooms and two self-released demos, we are finally coming out of our lairs with this LP under the banners of DYING VICTIMS."

Their past connections with fellow labelmates ARMAGH and FUKKIN’ VENGEANCE somewhat explains TORPOR’s link to the idiosyncratic side of ancient heavy metal, which has taken far more prominence on Ðungeon Ðescent over the first-wave black metal side – but that’s only part of the picture. Some might call it “cleaning up,” others might liken it to a harnessing of feral energies, but TORPOR’s emphatic-yet-stoic strut conveys equal amounts of energy and mystery, finesse and fine-tuning. Of course, the power-trio can kick into high gear when they want to, be it heroic gallop or even hypnotic blast, but their sense of movement from one moody segment to the next imparts a narrative flow that’s part and parcel of their lyrical imagery. Or, perhaps it’s true swords & sorcery metal without belaboring the point – no “COOL IMAGERY DUDE” without the music & atmosphere to back it up, more specifically – that harkens to a glorious, sadly bygone era.

However you approach this Ðungeon Ðescent, TORPOR have surely delivered a cult classic in the making. Passion, authenticity, the reverberating ring of truth…ancient powers arise from time immemorial!

Zapowiedź debiutu RAKINUA

Dark folk/progressive entity RAKINUA unveil today their new single "Warrior of Light", offering a further glimpse into the immersive and emotionally charged world shaped within the upcoming debut album "Esi Um Ninu – Heal Us, Mother", due out on May 29th, 2026 via Dusktone.

One of the album’s most immediate and evocative compositions, "Warrior of Light" revolves around the symbolic cycle of the sun: born at dawn in a fragile red glow, crossing the sky through struggle and sacrifice, before falling once more into darkness - only to rise again and continue the fight.. Through this imagery, the song explores endurance, loss and rebirth, channeling the idea of an eternal warrior sustained by fire and memory.

Musically, the track intertwines delicate harp textures, acoustic guitars and expansive metal arrangements, balancing dark folk atmospheres with progressive sensibilities and emotionally resonant melodies. Gentle passages coexist with heavier, more dramatic movements, creating a sound that feels both intimate and cinematic, rooted in ancient imagery yet deeply human in its emotional core.

With "Warrior of Light", RAKINUA further expands a musical vision built on atmosphere, storytelling and dynamic contrasts, crafting a sound capable of merging introspection and grandeur without losing melodic immediacy.

Stream "Warrior of Light" HERE.

Emerging from a fertile intersection of sound and storytelling, RAKINUA stand as the convergence of two distinct creative forces: one driven by an insatiable urge toward musical expression, the other endowed with a rare gift for narrative architecture. Together, they have shaped a work that aspires not merely to be heard, but to be inhabited: a threshold into another world, where time dissolves and meaning is carved in ancient symbols.

Inspired by Alpine sacrificial sites that have borne witness to nearly three millennia of ritual practice, “Esi Um Ninu – Heal Us, Mother” unfolds as a concept album of rare depth and cohesion. Its narrative follows a priestess whose desperate attempts to appease increasingly wrathful gods ultimately condemn her tribe to ruin. This tragedy is revealed through the voice of an oracle, a liminal presence bridging past, present, and future: an eternal witness to a fate that cannot be undone.

Musically, RAKINUA traverse a wide and evocative spectrum. Their sound resonates with the ritualistic pulse of Heilung and Wardruna, the dark introspection of Myrkur, and the progressive depth of Opeth, Porcupine Tree, and Anathema. Yet these references serve only as distant constellations; “Esi Um Ninu – Heal Us, Mother” charts its own path, guided by an archaic, almost primordial spirit.

The album was produced by Fabio D'Amore (Serenity, Perchta) at Synonym Of Sound, with concept and lyrics crafted by Velis and Madame Noctinebra. Their work draws upon archaeological insight, a refined aesthetic sensibility, and the evocative power of a forgotten tongue intertwined with Raetic symbols. The result is a body of songs that feels both meticulously constructed and organically unearthed.

RAKINUA’s vision extends beyond the recorded form. Their ceremonial live manifestations - ranging from the electrifying Full Electric Tribe Ritual to the intimate Acoustic Tribe Ritual - translate the album’s essence into immersive, communal experiences. Each performance becomes an act of remembrance, a rekindling of something older than language itself.

With “Esi Um Ninu – Heal Us, Mother”, RAKINUA do not simply present a debut; they open a passage. It is an invitation to step into a narrative suspended between epochs, where the echo of forgotten rites still lingers—and where the future, though foreseen, may yet be resisted.

Independent 2025

(Czytaj dalej...)

Nowy numer SAĦĦAR

Following the announcement of the upcoming full-length "Migja ta Mohh Mignun", set for release on June 12th, 2026 via Time To Kill Records, Maltese black metal entity SAĦĦAR now unveils the album’s second single, "II-Migja sa Sqallija", continuing the path toward what promises to be the project’s most intense and fully realized work to date.

Further expanding the bleak and immersive atmosphere that has come to define SAĦĦAR’s sound, the new material reinforces a vision rooted in isolation, spiritual tension and emotional decay.

Emerging from a scene far removed from black metal’s traditional centers, the project continues to carve out a distinctive identity through a deeply personal and uncompromising artistic approach. The record represents another step forward in this evolution, balancing raw aggression with evocative layers of atmosphere and introspection while remaining faithful to the harsh essence at the core of the project.

"Migja ta Mohh Mignun" (“Journey of a Mad Mind”) is a concept prose chronicling the descent and transformation of a man consumed by an insatiable thirst for forbidden knowledge. Abandoning wealth and comfort, he pursues ancient secrets hidden in scrolls, caves and lost maps, ultimately crossing the boundary between life and death. Throughout his journey, he defies the Inquisition, embraces occult forces and becomes suspended between madness, immortality and damnation.

Based on a Maltese legend formally penned by Agostino Levanzin and rooted in documented events from the 16th century, the album translates this narrative into a dense and intense wall of sound shaped by arcane atmospheres, hypnotic pacing and SAĦĦAR’s distinctive vocals performed entirely in the Maltese tongue.

With the release of new single "II-Migja sa Sqallija", listeners are invited to delve further into the unsettling world surrounding the album.
