Recenzja Røkkr „Sindets Skygger Hvisker”

„Sindets Skygger Hvisker”

Nomad Snakepit Prod. 2026

(Czytaj dalej...)

Nowy MORBID STENCH na początku października

Central American death-doom practitioners MORBID STENCH will release their third full-length album, "Doom Metástasis", on October 2nd, 2026 through Nuclear Winter Records and Putrid Cult. The album will be available on LP, CD and cassette formats.

Deeply rooted in death-doom metal, the record broadens the group’s sonic palette through a more developed approach to songwriting, without losing the weight and darkness that have always defined their sound. Conceived as a conceptual work, the album follows a process of transformation that moves from inner decay to complete propagation, blending biological imagery with reflections on identity, inevitability and the cyclical nature of existence. This narrative framework gives the album a strong sense of continuity, shaping a journey rather than a simple collection of individual tracks.

Musically, MORBID STENCH combine crushing slow-paced sections, oppressive atmospheres and carefully crafted arrangements, balancing immediacy and depth. With "Doom Metástasis", the band expands its vision while remaining faithful to the raw spirit of Central American death-doom metal.

The first single “Hyperbolic” is now streaming HERE.

01. Necrotic from Within
02. The Morbid Waltz
03. Hyperbolic

DECONSEKRATED wracają z nową płytą

Nuclear Winter Records proudly announces the release of DECONSEKRATED's sophomore album, "The Inexorable Transcendence of Death", set for release on October 2, 2026 on LP, CD, and MC formats.

Over the past decade, Chile has established itself as one of the world's premier breeding grounds for uncompromising death metal, and DECONSEKRATED are poised to further strengthen that reputation with an album that fully embraces the darkest corners of the genre. "The Inexorable Transcendence of Death" is a relentless collection of dense, hostile compositions built on crushing intensity, oppressive atmosphere and an abundance of memorable riffs. While its roots firmly lie within the classic death metal tradition, the band's songwriting reaches beyond mere homage, weaving intricate arrangements, unexpected tempo changes and subtle twists into every track. Rather than attempting to reinvent the style, DECONSEKRATED explore its vast creative potential, crafting songs that unfold organically and reveal new layers with each listen.

Powerful, immersive and meticulously constructed, "The Inexorable Transcendence of Death" stands as a bold new statement from one of Chile's most promising death metal acts.

Wieści z obozu DEIPHAGO

Hells Headbangers continues its blood pact with Deiphago for the release of the band’s long-awaited sixth album. Recording begins next month at Sonic Train Studios in Sweden with Andy LaRocque (King Diamond, Death), who will handle production, recording, mixing, and mastering.

The band's sixth full-length, Hexessence Satan builds upon the foundation laid by 2019's I, The Devil, pushing Deiphago further into uncharted realms of avant-garde sonic obliteration while continuing to challenge the boundaries of black metal and war metal. Their current lineup is thus:

Sidapa — lead and rhythm guitars
E. Mejia — drums
Voltaire — bass and vocals

State the band, “Hexessence Satan is the culmination beyond the quintessence: Satan as the Sixth and Final Essence—the ultimate principle of dissolution. It is the end-state of all existence, where creation collapses into absolute chaos, all light is consumed, and all being is reduced to infernal nullity.”

More news to be announced in due time.

Singiel od LUDGAR

Today, Austrian dungeon metallers Ludgar premiere the new track "Violent Visions (In the Claws of Ergot)" at heavily trafficked web-portal Metal.de. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated debut album, Violent Visions, set for international release on September 25th via Dying Victims Productions. Hear Ludgar’s "Violent Visions (In the Claws of Ergot)" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Let’s get it out of the way: Ludgar is originally an abbreviated word for Loup de guerre (“war wolf”), describing what was one of the largest trebuchet – or catapult, if you will – used in medieval times. We’re basically talking about one giant destructive force used to crush opponents and villages alike, and it’s quite a fitting analogy for what the band Ludgar stand for.

Formed in 2024 in a dungeon in Linz, Austria by Death Racer guitarist S. Bruckner (here on bass) and Venator drummer J. Steidl alongside L. Höller on vocals and S. Bolda (also in Zepter) on guitar, this new outfit is deeply entrenched in the ‘80s yet refuses to label their music with the cliché “everyone brought to the table their own influences.” One thing was made clear, though: the result had to be rough and brutal. And their first demo, 2024’s Molochian Rites, was indeed rough-as-fuck.

So, what do the Austrians do? Make a debut album that’s rougher-than-fuck! Enter Violent Visions, a record as fittingly titled as their moniker itself. Right from the beginning, you know you’re treading on pure METAL: unfiltered, raw, and explosive (and, of course, deeply entrenched in the ‘80s). Dungeonic in atmosphere and breathless in urgency, these Violent Visions will draw parallels to Hellfire’s Dominion-era Desaster, now-labelmates Witching Hour, or a more blackened version of Hellish Crossfire, but the truth is that Ludgar roar from a deeper and more malevolent pit – nay, DUNGEON – where all light is shun. To liken the album to “blackthrash” would be grossly missing the point, however; the usual tropes are NOT invoked, and the atmosphere and attendant sensations – unclean and unhallowed, lawless and lusting, a delirium that’s devilish and addicting – elevate Ludgar into such esteemed company as much as the songs themselves. More than anything, there’s a true sense of danger that’s been sorely missing for, well, forever. Open your eyes to Violent Visions!

A review of Deceptor “Reign of Terror”

 Deceptor

“Reign of Terror”

Dying Victims Prod. 2026

Bloody hell, what a punch! Just imagine: a bunch of lads from Raleigh, North Carolina, decided to play some old-school thrash metal. They picked up their instruments and, as the old rule dictates, recorded a demo first, then an EP, and now, under the wings of Dying Victims, a label exceptionally adept at unearthing young talent from the underground, they’re presenting to the world their full-length debut. (Continue reading)

Jednakże gatunek ten w wykonaniu tego kwintetu, jest bliższy klasycznemu ujęciu rocka gotyckiego, tego z lat osiemdziesiątych w stylu chociażby The Sisters of Mercy czy też wczesnego The Mission i Love Like Blood. (Czytaj dalej...)

CRITICAL DEFIANCE z nowym kawałkiem

Today, Chilean thrashers Critical Defiance premiere the new track "Rivers of Blood" at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated fourth album, Rivers of Blood, set for international release on September 25th via Dying Victims Productions. Hear Critical Defiance's title track "Rivers of Blood" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Formed in 2010, Chile’s Critical Defiance have become a dependably hateful thrash metal force. Built on speed, aggression, and technical precision, the band channel the violent spirit of old-school thrash metal through sharp riffing, restless structures, and a raw South American intensity. To date, their three albums – 2019’s Misconception, 2022’s No Life Forms, and 2024’s The Search Won’t Fall – have cemented the Valparaíso natives’ place in the underground.

Now, Critical Defiance come storming out of the underground and return with their fourth full-length, Rivers of Blood. Compact, direct, and destructive, the eight-song / 32-minute album displays the band at their most focused, combining fast thrash metal violence with darker atmospheres, instrumental tension and a stronger sense of dramatic progression. All of this is heightened by Sebastián Palominos’ clear & cutting production, which thankfully also retains an organic immediacy.

Central to the success of Rivers of Blood is its sequencing. “Red Omen” works as an ominous opening; “Innate to Kill” starts the first attack; “The Feeling Destroyer” showcases Critical Defiance’s technique and compositional work; and “Rivers of Blood” lands with a slower form of thrash metal and liberating lyrics. “Valparaíso” opens Side B as the longest and most distinctive piece on the record, connecting the band’s violence with the blood, memory, and decay of their own city. The second half of the album then moves from the intensity and darkness of “Dead Tongues” into the short instrumental passage “Ceremony of the Final Call,” before closing with “Glorify War,” a direct final attack that reinforces the tone of Rivers of Blood: violent, hateful, and destructive.

Rivers of Blood is not a nostalgic revival record. It is Critical Defiance sharpening their own language: violent, fast, hateful, dark, and restless thrash metal from the Chilean underground.

GODSLUT: premiera pierwszego singla z najnowszej płyty

Polski deathmetalowy GODSLUT prezentuje Stifled - pierwszy singiel z długo wyczekiwanego, drugiego albumu zespołu - The Art Of Deconstruction.

Dwa lata później przerobiłem to na pełnoprawny utwór — i oto on.

Materiał prezentuje techniczny i bezkompromisowy death metal z wpływami thrash i groove metalu. Płyta została nagrana w 2022 roku, a za miks i mastering odpowiadał Paweł „Janos” Grabowski.

Zespół ma za sobą kilka udanych tras oraz występów w wydarzeniach takich jak m.in: Mystic Festival 2026, Metal Mine Festival 2024, Rockowisko Zwierzyniec 2024, czy trasy “Chaosu Nastał Czas” by Knock Out Productions; dzieląc scenę z wieloma szanowanymi grupami: Behemoth, Mastodon, Decapitated, Saxon, Watain, Hate, Krisiun, Blood Red Throne, Vomitory, Frontside, Hostia, Hamulec, Punched Orange The Materia, czy Redemptor.

Po trzech latach studyjnej ciszy, zespół powraca z drugim albumem The Art Of Deconstruction, który ponownie ukaże się nakładem Selfmadegod Records.

Mimo stosunkowo krótkiego stażu GODSLUT zdążył zaznaczyć swoją obecność na polskiej scenie ekstremalnego metalu, prezentując dojrzałe i bezkompromisowe podejście do gatunku.

Singiel i zapowiedź nowego FLAME

Today, Primitive Reaction announces September 25th as the international release date for the long-awaited third album of Finland's Flame, Ignis Draconis Daemonicus, on CD and vinyl LP formats.

Formed back in that fateful year of 1998 in Kuopio Rock City by erstwhile members of Barathrum and Urn, Finland's Flame soon took on a (fiery) life of its own. A couple demos burst forth from the void before a split with the cult Devil Lee Rot in 2001; another demo came in 2004, followed the next year by a split with Australia's late / great Ghastly. But it was Flame's debut album, Into the Age of Fire, where the band's iron-fisted glory was fully revealed. Here, the band summoned forth triumphant epics of gnarliness that were equal parts ancient blackthrash and just-as-ancient bestial metal, all at a time when both idioms were far less fashionable than they are now. It would take six long years before another full-length torch was revealed, but Flame's second album, aptly titled March Into Firelands, proved that the Finns' unholy conflagration was as potent as ever: dynamic yet immediately headbanging, rooted in the old ways yet never recreating anyone's past glories...but then, silence once again.

But like their foundational idioms, Flame are immortal, no matter when they choose to appear and raze the scene. And raze they did with 2020's Ignis Spiritus mini-album, released to widespread acclaim by Primitive Reaction - and they'll raze further and fierier with their LONG-awaited third album, Ignis Draconis Daemonicus. It's only logical that this full-length shares a titular similarity with its short-length predecessor, as it's a progression both musically and lyrically. Indeed, Ignis Draconis Daemonicus is immediately recognizably Flame, combining the grime & grandeur of their first couple albums plus the atmospheric elevation that Ignis Spiritus brought. In a word, poised: the Finns convey a never-overstated, almost-quiet confidence that lends a prouder & more powerful aspect to their characteristic incendiary execution. The album's title translated from Latin is "Fire of Demonic (or Daemonic) Dragon," which is further extrapolated into finding one's key to their own "true will," "inner power," and "magickal transformation" - all topics that have led to Flame's new lyrical direction, guided by founding vocalist / guitarist Blackvenom. While the Finns' first two albums spit blasphemy, later-days Flame sees Blackvenom writing poetry based on occult / esoteric traditions and practices - from Thelema to Typhonian / Draconian, Chaos Magick to Luciferian philosophies - conveying the spiritual awakening he underwent ten years ago and fully mirroring his own soul's evolution. An eternal Flame, for sure!

Totaling nine new metallic hymns of thrashing black magick steel (plus mood-setting intro), Ignis Draconis Daemonicus offers a 47-minute gateway to the beyond to explore your own darkest occult realms. Flame take you on a ride on dragon wings - forever Finnish warriors of mighty Satan's horde!

Singiel od WATCHER

Today, Swedish heavy metallers Watcher premiere the new track "Chalice of Light" at heavily trafficked web-portal Metal.de. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated second album, Mistress of Our Time, set for international release on September 25th via Dying Victims Productions. Hear Watcher’s "Chalice of Light" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Hailing from Sweden, Watcher was formed in 2023 by singer Viktor Gustafsson, initially as a one-man band. With Gustafsson handling everything, two recordings resulted in 2024: the rough ‘n’ ready debut album Key to the Unbreachable and the similarly styled EP Glory or Agony, which was released early the next year. Truer than true, these two recordings presented Watcher as skillful disciples of first-wave Swedish heavy metal. In late 2024, guitarist Max Warnby and drummer Jakob Nilsson joined forces with Gustafsson, and Watcher released a second EP, Chains of Crystal, in the spring of 2025 and soon afterwards played Muskelrock. In late 2025, second guitarist Timmy Lindgren joined the band, and the recording of a new full-length began.

If Chains of Crystal hinted at the fantasy-cloaked adrenaline that could flow through Watcher’s veins with a fuller lineup, then Mistress of Our Time takes that proposition to a big, velvety boil. Thankfully, the ingredients are pretty much the same – said first-wave-Sweden legends like Heavy Load, Gotham City, Axewitch, Torch, and even Hot Records-era Europe along with the equally cult likes of Ostrogoth, Grim Reaper, and Sortilège – but where previous Watcher recordings aimed to take the listener back to 1984, Mistress of Our Time truly does time-travel there with some unique, mystical magick. Energy, hooks, and atmosphere are all in harmonious lockstep here (with the emphasis on ENERGY), and the quartet gallop into the fray with triumphant poise and copious power. Unlike the oncoming thrash era, though, Watcher wisely don’t try win the speed stakes; their swords & sorcery-bound anthems simply don’t need that. Authenticity is the riddle of steel they’ve mastered, by Crom.

If Watcher’s goal has always been to keep the old heavy metal spirit alive, then Mistress of Our Time captures it with pinpoint poignancy!

FAM: drugi singiel z nadchodzącej płyty udostępniony

Brutal death/grindowy kwintet FAM prezentuje Perverse Devotion, drugi singiel promujący najnowszy album zespołu Pleasure Of Torture.

Singiel z nowego WINDSWEPT

Today, Primitive Reaction announces September 25th as the international release date for the fourth album of Ukraine's Windswept, A Sign of the Cloven Hoof, on CD and vinyl LP formats.

Windswept is yet another creative vehicle for Roman Saenko, known for his work in Drudkh and Hate Forest among others. While most of his musical creations stem from black metal, thankfully, Windswept is consistent in this regard and unapologetically restrictive, retaining Saenko's characteristically hypnotic riffing coasting atop a wintry atmosphere.

In 2024, Windswept aligned with Primitive Reaction for the release of the mini-album Der eine, wahre König. Now, the band return under that banner with their fourth album, A Sign of the Cloven Hoof. Inspired by Ukrainian demonology and Mykola Gogol's early stories, A Sign of the Cloven Hoof maintains Windswept's characteristic surging austerity - solemn yet fiery, impassioned but deadpan, violently unrestrained whilst artfully rendered - but with two of the 35-minute album's tracks stretching to or exceeding ten minutes, new(er) vistas of the trio's imagination open up. That they can downshift so effectively - nay, poignantly - into something perhaps more powerful, all while retaining that austere intensity, speaks volumes about the creativity at the core of Windswept. Simply witness 11-minute opener "Behind the Masks of Piety" and its haunting second half: no doubters shall remain. Elsewhere on A Sign of the Cloven Hoof, the momentum remains monolithic even if the delivery becomes relatively livelier; however, labor under no illusion that there's anything superfluous here, either in exposition or delivery; Windswept are nothing if not unadorned, iron-fisted and -willed to the very end. Those who know, know, and will heed A Sign of the Cloven Hoof.

In the meantime, hear the brand-new track "Buried Face Down" HERE at Primitive Reaction's official YouTube channel. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:

Nowy WHARFLURCH we wrześniu

On September 25th internationally, Personal Records, Gurgling Gore, and Dawnbreed Records are proud to present Wharflurch's highly anticipated second album, Mycodeath and Rebirth in the Outer Clusters. Personal, Gurgling Gore, and Dawnbreed will all be releasing the vinyl LP version; the CD version will be shared by Personal and Dawnbreed; and the tape version will be handled exclusively by Gurgling Gore.

In lieu of this announcement, the Death Metal Promotion YouTube channel premieres the new track "Forgotten Temple." Hear Wharflurch's "Forgotten Temple" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Wharflurch left the death metal world hanging at the end of 2021's Psychedelic Realms ov Hell, with the protagonist of the first album being lost in a fungal haze of disillusionment at the album's conclusion. They return with the sequel to the epic psychedelic saga, Mycodeath and Rebirth in the Outer Clusters, another concept album continuing the story, placing our "hero" at the precipice of an incredible journey to the furthest regions of our universe, where the ubiquitous Mycolords reveal the true plan for their experimentation on Planet Earth, how indeed this is a universe-wide phenomena, and how he fits into their grand scheme.

Lurch-lords John Mamo and Myk Colby fashioned the storyline, musical journey, and lyrical concept to complete their vision of a universe that is secretly ruled by puppet-master mushroom entities, who covertly inoculate virile planets with their own spore-kind to foster sentient life as they see fit: a true sci-fi epic of world-building and conceptualization that places the listener at a vantage point to interpret interplanetary life as ventures of this secret race of mycelial beings who control the life force of galaxies with a hidden hand.

Fraught with frustration and peril, this recording (which began in very late 2021) is finally being unleashed upon the wary world, but is yet poised to display the innovation and progression of the Wharflurch sound: dismal doom-death with flashes of ignorance and brilliance interspersed within the cornucopia of riffs and textures.

Influences are only seen as guideposts, not references, and as such summon the madness of such unsung greats like Timeghoul and Demilich - only breathing in the conceptual insanity, and exhaling a truly Flurch-y result. Musically, the journey of this album volleys between chunky / catchy / plodding and tricky / obtuse / beautiful, with the trademark synth flourishes that add a cosmic touch to the proceedings.

Vocal duties are shared between Mamo and Myk, with guest appearances by Garrett Alvarado (frontman extraordinaire from Midwest death-dealers Maul) on vocals as the voice of the "Sporelords," and Jamie Stewart (throat shredder for The Abscence, Party Time, and Hot Graves) doing narratives and guest vocals on quite a few songs. Thus, the narrative takes on a new dimension, with different voices playing different parts to this uncanny story.

The conceptual artwork was rendered by none other than Claw//Eight, the morbid pensmith responsible for many of Wharflurch's visual offerings over the years, who indeed has even been in the van on tour with the band, which earns him honorary membership as the band’s Visionary. His artistic depictions of psychedelic fright and transformation are absolutely intrinsic to the concept and realization of this album's continuation of the story. Mycodeath and Rebirth in the Outer Clusters is an odyssey for the adventurous listener: a deathly riff journey into the outer cosmos, where our destiny has been foretold by beings who treat our planet as a failed.

Recenzja / A review of Death.Void.Terror “To the Great Monolith 2.5”

 Death.Void.Terror

“To the Great Monolith 2.5”

Sentient Ruin Laboratories 2026

Trochę mnie zaskoczyli panowie z Death.Void.Terror. Wiem, że z założenia „To the Great Monolith” miał być trylogią. (Czytaj dalej... / Read here)

Recenzja Kyrios „Blood Constellation”

 Kyrios

„Blood Constellation”

Caligari Records 2026

(Czytaj dalej...)
