Today, avant-garde extreme metallers Deiphago reveal the new track "Undeified." The track is the first to be revealed from the band's band’s long-awaited sixth album, Hexessence Satan, which will see international during the first half of next year via Hells Headbangers. Hear Deiphago's "Undeified" in its entirety HERE at Hells Headbangers' official YouTube channel.
State the band, "We chose 'Undeified' as the first single from Hexessence Satan because it represents exactly how far we have pushed Deiphago's music on this album. It is one of the most twisted, dissonant, and uncompromising compositions we have ever recorded. The guitars are unconventional, the drumming constantly shifts the direction and momentum of the music, and the arrangements go beyond the usual structures associated with black metal and war metal. At over eight minutes long, we didn't choose this song for accessibility. We chose it because it makes a statement.
"Conceptually, 'Undeified' represents the fifth operation of Hexessence Satan - the abolition of divinity. This is not about Satan overthrowing God and taking his place. It is about the complete elimination of divinity itself. No throne is inherited. The throne is abolished.
"We wanted the first single to confront listeners with the musical direction of this record without revealing the entire seven-operation progression. 'Undeified' captures the violence, dissonance, and unpredictability of Deiphago while showing a level of composition and musical development we have never attempted before. This is not about following what black metal or war metal is supposed to sound like. It is about taking our music somewhere it has never been."
