Brazilian death/black metal purveyors Grave Desecrator unleashed “Necromantical Hex,” the opening track from Immundissime Spiritus, their upcoming fourth full-length, which is slated for its worldwide release on 12 May. Both “Necromantical Hex” and the previously released “Fogo Fátuo” are now available on all streaming platforms as a part of the digital EP Fogo Fátuo.
After working with various labels (recently with Season of Mist) as a signed band, Rio de Janeiro-based Grave Desecrator decided to release the new album, Immundissime Spiritus, through their own Caverna de Sangue Productions to maintain complete control over their art. The album is being licensed to labels from different countries to ensure widespread distribution.
With dead-agonizing cacophonies and maleficent incantations, Grave Desecrator plunges listeners into the depth of their established malevolent soundscapes on Immundissime Spiritus. Throughout ten songs, the Brazilian brute force kept their production value unscathed while conjuring an atmosphere of damnation and eternal suffering. To make the record more irreverent, Grave Desecrator offers a putrid cover of GG Allin’s infamous “Fuck the Dead.”
