On March 28th internationally, Dying Victims Productions will release Gallower’s highly anticipated second album, Vengeance & Wrath, on CD and vinyl LP formats. Gallower – the Witching Metal power-trio from Tychy, Poland – have been unleashing their blackthrash fury upon the underground for over a decade. Since their formation in 2015, the band have become a bastion of old-school metal, raw aggression, blistering energy, and a dark medieval aesthetic. Their lyrics immerse listeners in the shadowy world of Gallower, a 15th-century land where magic, monsters, and unholy evil reign supreme.

Gallower’s discography is a journey into the heart of metal’s purest traditions: demos Witch Hunt is On (2015) and Through the Gallows (2016), through their debut album Behold the Realm of Darkness (2020), to the EP Eastern Witchcraft (2022), released under the banner of Dying Victims. Each release is a testament to Gallower’s commitment to keeping the old-school flame alive while crafting a unique and immersive soundscape. Their next recording, the full-length Vengeance & Wrath, won’t be any different and will release the bubonic plague once again!

Gallower’s live shows, brimming with unrelenting energy and a raw aggression, leave no man spared and no cross unturned – and that finely honed finesse reaches its apotheosis on Vengeance & Wrath. Truly titled, Vengeance & Wrath encapsulates and exaggerates the Gallower aesthetic to date: a perfect storm of thrashing-mad riffs, harsh-yet-articulate vocals, pitch-black intensity, and epic storytelling, all with medieval atmosphere to spare. It’s not so much a vertical improvement as it is a lateral one, for to do anything beyond the remit of truest metal would be a fate worse than death! No more but definitely no less, Gallower strive to reach the hallowed halls of Venom, Destruction, Bathory, Sodom, and the Japanese Sabbat – and from this vantage point, with Vengeance & Wrath do they walk that path honorably.
