Debiut MYR na winylu już za kilka dni

 

Norway’s MYR, the black metal duo comprised of Svartan and TZommer, will release their debut album, “Helvegen”, on a strictly limited edition vinyl format. The LP is limited to just 100 copies and will be available to purchase exclusively via the band’s Bandcamp page on 22 October 2025.

Following the digital release of Helvegen in June, MYR is offering collectors a physical artefact to match the album’s dark, untamed spirit. The band continues to build momentum, having previously released two powerful music videos from the record: "Saturnine Child" and "Brennt" (which premiered on NoCleanSinging). Both videos were created in collaboration with the renowned Grupa 13 (Behemoth, Amon Amarth etc.), showcasing the album’s thematic depth. MYR delivers a sound that is both raw and melodic, drawing deeply from Scandinavian legends and the traditions of Northern black metal, inviting comparison to legends such as Satyricon, Bathory, and Dissection.

MYR has also confirmed their first major live appearance, announcing they will perform at the prestigious Inferno Metal Festival in Oslo, Norway in 2026.

The band said: "The sound of Helvegen was forged in the cold, and it demands to be heard on vinyl, it’s the definitive way to experience the album's atmosphere. Announcing Inferno 2026 is the next crucial step. We are ready to bring the darkness of the North to the stage."

"Helvegen" was mixed and mastered by the renowned Tore Stjerna at Necromorbus Studio in Sweden, known for his work with Watain, Mayhem, and Tribulation.
