Melodic black metal band ‘UNGOLAITH’ release new album ‘SHADOWS OF THE ECLIPSE.’ The album’s atmospheric textures fuse the fire and fury of black metal with brooding elements laced by cold, harsh vocals. The one-man project offers layered and immersive landscapes that rival, even surpass, full band experiences.
The Berlin, Germany based ‘UNGOLIATH’ flickered out from the shadows in 2002, founded by musician Bane. This one-man project released the debut full-length, “WHISPERS OF THE GALE,” in 2024. The band’s sound continues to evolve, fusing multiple genres across the extreme landscape while being inspired by such cerebral subjects as ancient gods and celestial catastrophes but also more personal declarations of internal struggles, sorrow, and defiance.
‘SHADOWS OF THE ECLIPSE,’ retains the band’s independent ideals and underground aesthetic while expanding their reach with this new chapter. It signifies not an end but a fiery new statement, a gathering flame underneath the hardened ash.
