The only release by Swedish band HETSHEADS, “...We Hail the Possessed”, is one of those true gems of Swedish Death Metal from bands that never went on to record a full-length album (GOD MACABRE, NIRVANA 2002, CREMATORY, MACRODEX, UTUMNO, DARKIFIED…), yet possessed a level of quality superior to many of the bands that actually did. We are therefore dealing with a genuine cult band that showed great promise back in 1991 when they first emerged. Unfortunately, time took its toll and the members gradually moved on to more mainstream styles (THEY CHANGED NAME TO blackshine), but they still left behind this essential jewel for understanding the early ’90s Swedish Death Metal movement.
