Melodic black metal band VERBA SERPENTIS are set to release the new EP ‘TORCHBEARERS.’ The EP further advances their sound into the abyss, offering a more refined and expansive approach. The band’s hostile tendencies and atmospheric elements will draw listeners into a bleak but hypnotic mythos.
AVERBA SERPENTIS formed out of the shadows of Klagenfurt, Austria, in 2024. Soon after, they released their debut EP ‘OPHIDIC GNOSIS.’ Originally formed as a duo by musicians ACHLYCET and TENEBRIS, the band reached their final form with the addition of MALPHAS and SOMNIFER. Together, the band is bound by a shared vision of transcendence through darkness.
‘TORCHBEARERS’ is both urgent and captivating, a twisted journey through dark catacombs that highlight a spiritual awakening explored through melodic aggression. The compositions flow as a unified, ritualistic expression where searing, blackened fury meets an ever-evolving force of artistic expression.
