A landmark piece of Italian extreme metal history returns in its most complete form yet, as F.O.A.D. Records proudly present the definitive SCHIZO demo collection, now available in a new expanded edition.
New version with a cover and insert in different colors than the previous edition.
The most exhaustive SCHIZO demo collection you can dream of. One LP, one 7" inch and one CD all in one package, housed in a thick gatefold sleeve with a poster-sized foldout insert full of rare photos, and 'zine excerpts.. a true work of heart just like every F.O.A.D. release!
This collection compiles all the band's recordings before their killer "Main Frame Collapse" debut full length (1989), for a total of 20 songs from one of the most deranged, fast and original extreme metal acts of the 1980s Italian scene. Alongside the early work of their brothers-in-mayhem Necrodeath, these recordings represent some of the very first examples of hyper-speed driven death/thrash from Italy—put simply, among the earliest blast beats ever unleashed on Italian metal territory.
Contents:
“T.T.U.T.T.K. [Thrash The Unthrashable, Thrash To Kill]” Demo (1985)
“TOTAL SCHIZOPHRENIA” Demo (1986)
“M.F.C. [Main Frame Collapse Demo]” (1987)
Bonus: “Private rehearsal tape – May 31, 1985” (previously unreleased tracks)
All material has been mastered from the best sounding 1st generation sources provided and approved by the band.
This release documents the band’s evolution from nihilistic thrashing hardcore roots to the sadistic, nerve-ripping sonic torment of the cult “Total Schizophrenia” era (famously cited by Max Cavalera as one of the inspirations behind Sepultura’s “Schizophrenia” title).
A true monster of archival extreme metal. Essential listening for fans of ultra-fast thrash in the vein of Wehrmacht, early Sadus, Merciless and Sarcófago.
