American death metal outfit NOROTH and Costa Rican crew MORTUAL join forces for a two-track premiere hosted by Mystification, featuring "Sepulchre ov Hollowed Eyes" and "Crown of Unbeing". Both songs appear on the bands' forthcoming split release, with a 12-inch vinyl edition due via Night Terrors Records, while Goat Throne Records will handle the CD and cassette editions.
NOROTH delve into cavernous heaviness and unsettling melodic passages, while MORTUAL bring a more direct, hostile attack built on savage riffing and forceful dynamics. Together, the tracks capture two distinct approaches to contemporary underground death metal.
