Today, Heidens Hart Records announces
February 15th, 2021 as the international release date for Kjeld's highly anticipated
album, Ôfstân, on CD and vinyl LP formats.
Invoked from Frisian soil in 2004, Kjeld is
the embodiment of a cold ravage in a black metal vessel. In the first decade
since its birth, Kjeld has
focused on devising its core, leading to the first EP in 2010 that exploded
through the underground, and the 2015 debut album Skym.
Now, already five years have passed and Kjeld are
proud to present Ôfstân (English:
"revolt" or "rebellion"), an album that raises the bar set
in the past with nine insanely strong songs. As always, soaked in the rich and
ancient Frisian history and solely chanted in their native language, this here
is pure creative mastery, with Kjeld's
trademark sound and riffs - yet another big step up after the debut. These
tracks are crafted with very impressive songwriting and a monolithic sound,
with total attention for pure genius melodies, fueled with the most ferocious
and aggressive high-speed storm driven by arguably The Netherlands' best and
hardest-hitting metal drummer.
This bio is short, as the album of the year is here and it doesn't need further
words.
First track premiere to be revealed
shortly. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:
