Today, Primitive Reaction announces March 13th as the international release date for Bras D'Honneur's striking debut album, Hate Speech, on CD and vinyl LP formats.
Bras D'Honneur is the latest creation of the duo R and V, who are jointly renowned / infamous for Drudkh, Precambrian, Blood of Kingu, and Rattenfänger among others. Hate Speech is the band's debut recording, a 13-song / 35-minute torrent of militant black / death metal inspired by the likes of VON, Profanatica / Havohej, and Finland's Belial.
Rough, rude, and unrepentantly so, Hate Speech sonically lives up to its title. Where R's Hate Forest are able to create hypnotic screeds of pulsing black hate, Bras D'Honneur strip that primitivism down yet further, hammering through approximately two riffs per song - and quickly - that make "blunt-force trauma" sound fanciful. No other (fanciful) words necessary: Hate Speech is the record this modern world deserves.
