In their endless quest to push and support current underground acts that perpetuate the odor of vintage death metal, Memento Mori are extremely thrilled to announce a new signing: Sadistic Drive, from Finland.
Sadistic Drive is a murderous five-headed death fiend from Joensuu, excreting death metal with influences ranging from Cannibal Corpse hammering to Autopsy-ish slime gurgling. The band was formed in 2018 by Jusa Janhonen and Niklas Heiskanen as a deranged two-man cellar experiment, recording their first demo, Street Cannibal Gluttony, but grew to four members before the first demo was even out, when Matti Kolehmainen and Jesse Räsänen joined the patrol. In 2020, this lineup released their debut album, Anthopophagy, which was bursting with twisted riffs and perverse song structures. The lineup mutated again in 2021 when Niklas left and two new members, namely Eelis Koivula and Voltti Laakkonen, joined the murder squad. In this current form, Sadistic Drive released their second album, Perpetual Torture, a sonic onslaught full to the brim with rabid hammer blast beats and riffs more contagious than Ebola. Sadistic Drive are now more depraved and bloodthirsty than ever, and ready to deliver another O.D. of demented violence and total death.
Memento Mori (CD) and Rotted Life (LP, tape, and digital) will team up to unleash the band's third full-length. Further details to follow in the coming months.
