DESERT NEAR THE END is a five-piece metal band from Athens, Greece, formed in 2010. Drawing influence from the great Power/Thrash bands of the 90s, they have evolved their sound into a unique blend of Power/Thrash metal infused with extreme elements from Death and Black Metal. They have released five full-length albums to date, including the critically acclaimed thematic trilogy A Crimson Dawn (2011), Hunt for the Sun (2014), and Theater of War (2016), followed by standalone concept albums Of Fire and Stars (2019) and The Dawning of the Son (2022). Their sixth album, “Tides of Time“, will be released on December 6th, 2024, via Theogonia Records.
