Zapowiedź debiutu LIGATION

Today, Finnish death mentalists Ligation premiere the new track "Eruption" at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's highly anticipated debut album, After Gods, set for international release on January 23rd, 2026 via Personal Records. Hear Ligation's "Eruption" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Spawning from the warped grimness of Finland, Ligation play "death mental" for noise-thirsty undead ghouls. A power-trio, the members are trained in the realm of death / doom, concurrently residing in the ranks of Profetus, Convocation, Sum of R, and La Murga among others. Over the last couple years, Ligation have released two splits - the first with Hail Conjurer, the second with Gravavgrav - where they've read their sermon: death metal, doom, and elements of experimental noise, pushing the boundaries further by incorporating unorthodox instruments such as saxophone noise into their deranged filth, tightening the ligatures on your blood vessels and cystic ducts, resulting in loss of consciousness.

Now, fully feel that loss of consciousness with Ligation's debut full-length, After Gods. Including the tracks from the aforementioned two splits as bonus tracks, deepening the madness to a miasmic degree, After Gods is a chainsaw gutsfuck / headfuck of truly depraved proportions. Too twisted for death metal, too schizophrenic for doom, and too death / doom metallic for noise, Ligation reside in their own netherworld of out-there / down-there decibels - and proudly so. Tracks move mischievously from one lewd & lurking part to another, piling on layers of disturbing darkness wrung fully from human hands, but always with a purpose and always with a direction. In fact, their songwriting could be characterized as gushing - virile in its throb, cathartic in its flow - with fractured shards of eerie half-melody snaking up and down their sonic shaft. A mess of idiosyncrasies and contradictions, crushed to a pulp and then gleefully stirred into rude, ever-angular shapes: Ligation are truly in rarefied territory.

Recommended for maniacs of wildest Pungent Stench, Pan.Thy.Monium, Disharmonic Orchestra, Phlebotomized, and domestic iconoclasts Xysma as well as the heyday of Amphetamine Reptile - this is what it sounds like After Gods!
