Helldprod Records marks November 04th as the release date for Disembody’s new album, Awakening of Ancient Evil, in CD format.

Thrashing the Eternal Darkness

Five years later, our ice-cold metal warriors from Disembody are back with a new, devastating album entitled “Awakening of Ancient Evil” an impressive step forward that embraces an old-school approach while taking their sound far beyond their debut.

Following their own path, A.H. and J.J. prove once again that they know exactly how to write compelling songs. This time, get ready for eight tracks packed with hellish aggression, piercing riffs, and relentless pounding evilness. Haunting melodies will lull you into a dark slumber, only to have you scorched moments later by Disembody’s blazing tongue of fire. These are memorable compositions, further enhanced by a remarkably organic production that gives the whole album an even more visceral feel.

“Awakening of Ancient Evil” is undoubtedly a fine example of how blackened thrash metal should be played, and Disembody deserve full credit for delivering such a convincing and uncompromising record. There is also, somehow, an eerie Beyond the Gates aura lurking throughout the album, adding another layer of infernal crudeness to the darkness already embedded in these tracks.

Raw, vicious and uncanny, “Awakening of Ancient Evil” proves that Disembody have not only stayed true to their roots they have sharpened them into something considerably more dangerous. Possessed is the Law!
