Cholera, po raz kolejny zwiadowcy Sentient Ruin mieli nosa. Tym razem poszperali w głębinach tysiąca jezior, i wygrzebali z ich dna skuty lodem, przemarznięty do szpiku kości Hexerei. Zespól ten nie jest co prawda żółtodziobem na scenie, gdyż zarejestrował już uprzednio dwie demówki, a cztery lata wstecz materiał pełnowymiarowy. Chilean death-doom cult DEVS MORTVORVM will unleash their new EP on June 6, 2025 via Apocalyptic Productions, delivering a putrid sermon steeped in the stench of traditional death metal and the mournful crawl of doomed melodies.

The first single "Love for the Dead" is now streaming HERE.

Formed in 2015 by David Briones (guitar) and Claudio Carrasco (vocals), DEVS MORTVORVM emerged with a clear mission: to play Graveyard Doom Death, inspired by legendary acts such as Goatlord, Derketa, early Cathedral and Autopsy. The band is now completed by Andrés Henríquez on drums and Felipe Vuletich on bass, bringing even more weight and rot to their already imposing sound.

This upcoming EP features five tracks—three original compositions, a crushing cover of "Acid Orgy" by U.S. cult legends Goatlord, and a raw live track that captures the band’s visceral stage presence. Every aspect of this release - lyrics, artwork, and music - is a unified expression of DEVS MORTVORVM’s devotion to the morbid spirit of doom-death and necrolatry.

Musically, the EP offers an enticing blend of shadow-drenched, vicious death-doom, where sludgy riffs clash and intertwine with serpentine melodies, creating a dynamic tension that keeps each track unpredictable and alive. It’s a masterclass in sonic decay, where every note drips with the dampness of the tomb.

Wznowienie demówki PUNGENT STENCH na winylu

 

Pungent Stench's legendary 1988 demo Mucous Secretion becomes available once again on 20th June via Hammerheart Records. This raw snapshot of Vienna's extreme metal scene captures Pungent Stench in their earliest, most primal form, including a previously unreleased track 'Melted Corpse'.

Recorded in a single session with nothing but a ghetto blaster, this demo represents the purest form of old-school death metal. The recording preserves the band's original rehearsal space performance with zero overdubs or studio enhancements, offering listeners an authentic time capsule of extreme metal's formative years.

The demo includes the never-before-heard rehearsal track 'Melted Corpse', making this release essential for both collectors and death metal historians alike.

Today, Hells Headbangers announces June 27th as the international release date for Hexella's highly anticipated debut album, The Ancient Gaping Mouth, on CD, vinyl LP, and cassette tape formats. In lieu of this announcement, the new track "Ophitic Revelation" can be heard HERE at Hells Headbangers' official YouTube channel.

Hexella was originally conceived in Deep South Texas by Noelia Garza (vocals, lyrics, and songwriter) in 2019 as a studio project. JD De La Rosa would help bring the sounds of Hexella to life on the drums during the writing process and add solos to the already written material. JD records, mixes, and masters all the music at Negative Audio Studio thus far.

In September 2021, Hexella digitally debuted a two-song demo featuring "Blood Ejaculate Chaos" and the single "High on Demonic Possession" off their forthcoming EP A Road in Hell. The EP would later be released digitally in October of 2021. Goat Throne Records would go on to release the EP on tape, and Tenebrous Aberrations Productions would release it on CD, both during January of 2022. Hexella's sound has continued to evolve with the addition of bassist Richard Casas. In March 2023, Hexella joined forces with Wulfskol and released a split titled Burn With Us via Goat Throne Records, initiating Hexella's first release on vinyl.

Now, five years on from their formation, Hexella are prepared to unleash their first full-length: The Ancient Gaping Mouth. Two years in the making, The Ancient Gaping Mouth is a succinct summation of the Hexella aesthetic. From ripping to rocking, blasting to D-beating, the power-trio cover all facets of classic '80s-rooted black metal. But whereas so much first-wave black metal hinged on blasphemy or conventional definitions of "evil," Hexella here lyrically focus on the anti-cosmic as well as an authentically Satanic exploration of the nightside. Songwriting-wise, The Ancient Gaping Mouth excels in its robust and restless simplicity, shifting tempos and dynamics often but always with a linear, go-for-the-throat trajectory. The recording - again handled by JD at Negative Audio Studio, including mixing & mastering - is that rare breed of clarity, sharpening the demonic aggression whilst never neutering the inherent evil. The return of darkness and evil is at hand with Hexella!
