Today, Caligari Records announces September 10th as the international release date for Magic Cross' self-titled debut EP on cassette tape format.
Magic Cross formed in winter 2023 as a collaboration among members of Wørsen, Galactoid, and Bellicose Records. After sharpening their sound into a feral formula of black metal, punk, and noise rock, the Florida four-piece recorded their first EP in early 2026 at Peace Corp. Audio. With a sound psychically skirting the hinterlands occupied by the likes of Bone Awl, Carved Cross, and Villains, Magic Cross nevertheless exhibit their own street-level grime: gutter-bound to be sure, viscous and vicious, but with stomping hooks to spare. Featuring all-senses-burning mastering courtesy of Dead Air Studios, their self-titled debut delivers four missives from the depths of mental hell and a taste of evil yet to come.
