“The Morning After” saw Tankard at the peak of their beer soaked powers, delivering a Thrash assault that was as ferocious as it was fun. Following the chaos of Chemical Invasion, their third album refined their sound without losing the unhinged energy that made them stand out.

From the riotous title track to headbangers like “Try Again” and “Help Yourself,” Tankard proved they could party harder than anyone while still delivering tight, razor sharp Thrash Metal. Their wild energy and signature booze soaked charm were as strong as ever, but underneath the madness was serious musicianship that kept them neck-and-neck with Germany’s Thrash Metal elite.

Half in California - half in the Netherlands, the instrumental progressive metal-fusion quartet QUADVIUM shares new single and music video "Apophis", from the band's upcoming album "Tetradōm", due out May 30th via Agonia Records. TASSI is a project born from the mind of Chinese artist Dryad, also known for his work under BLISS-ILLUSION. Through this creation, Dryad gives life to TASSI, a bard wandering between heaven and man, whose esoteric and mystical journey revolves around the search for his lost love, Uni — the embodiment of his unwavering faith.

TASSI travels through time and surreal dimensions — romantic, divine, broken, or mad. Uni has transcended the sky and humanity itself, becoming a symbol of absolute love and spiritual devotion. This metaphysical odyssey unfolds as an intimate, nearly initiatory quest, where music becomes the language of the soul.

The upcoming album “Idamon Novasah-Liva” stands as a parallel branch — or sister series — to the Northland saga, forming what Dryad calls “The Chronicle of Strange Thoughts.” This new chapter delves into a more introspective and melancholic emotional layer of TASSI — a kind of inner double or alternate self.

Musically, "Idamon Novasah-Liva" embraces a depressive / blackgaze / post-black metal aesthetic, rich in sorrowful textures, meditative riffs, and deeply personal lyrics. The voice moves between prayer and lament, echoing through ethereal soundscapes and cathartic darkness.

All Western artworks for the project — including this release — are the work of Alcide Nathanaël, a visual artist from the esoteric and spiritual world, far removed from traditional metal imagery. His contribution brings an otherworldly and symbolic dimension to TASSI’s universe, perfectly aligned with its mystical essence.

Idzie nowa EP-ka DESEKRYPTOR

 

DESEKRYPTOR will unleash their new EP “Sarcophagal Corridors” on May 16th, 2025 via Nuclear Winter Records.

Marking a bold shift in their creative approach, the band deconstructed their usual songwriting method by starting with drums instead of riffs. Percussionist P.A. recorded raw, unanchored drum tracks that guitarist E.S. then manipulated and smothered with riffs designed to overpower the rhythms. While the unorthodox process could have resulted in utter chaos, it instead gave birth to some of the most refined and structurally cohesive material the band has produced to date.

“Sarcophagal Corridors” stands as a testament to DESEKRYPTOR’s willingness to experiment without losing sight of the malicious death metal core that defines them.

GLUTTED SWARM wydadzą album dla Memento Mori

 

In their endless quest to push and support current underground acts that perpetuate the odor of vintage death metal, Memento Mori are extremely thrilled to announce a new signing: Glutted Swarm, from Canada.

Incepted in 2012 by A.A. (of Hedonist fame) and shambling forth from the moss-ridden coastal decay of Victoria B.C., Glutted Swarm play oppressive and primitive Obituary-worship to honor the Floridian swamp gods of death metal and their deliciously rotting guitar tone. There can also be found some elements of Celtic Frost, Asphyx, and grinding passages of the old U.K. guard.

The band is currently working on the new songs that will be featured on the follow-up to their debut album, ...of Old. Expect no progression in sound or style!

Memento Mori will unleash the CD version of their sophomore full-length in 2026. Further details to follow in the coming months.

Słuchając nowej płyty Sudden Death znalazłem, choć nie pierwszy raz w życiu, kolejny wyznacznik. Nijakości.
