MASSTERON present their debut full-length "Second in the Spheres" in full through a premiere hosted by Black Metal Promotion, ahead of its September 24 release via ATMF.
Coming from the Polish underground, the trio draw on the collision between black and death metal that marked some of the most ferocious records of the late nineties, but approach that vocabulary with the experience of musicians who know exactly how much can be achieved with a well-placed riff. The six compositions were recorded live in the studio, preserving the interaction between guitars, bass and drums rather than smoothing away every rough edge. This gives the album a tangible, almost physical character, while the writing remains carefully arranged, with abrupt turns, shifting rhythms and passages that gain their impact through contrast.
