Today, Iron Bonehead Productions announces October 30th as the international release date for Invoking the Noumenon / Crushing the Feeble Messianic Embrace, a special split mini-album between Embrace of Thorns and Chile's Invocation, on CD and 12" vinyl formats.
Totaling six songs across 22 minutes, Invoking the Noumenon / Crushing the Feeble Messianic Embrace unites Greece's Embrace of Thorns and Chile's Invocation, each offering three exclusive new tracks. For nearly 30 years, Embrace of Thorns have been crafting a considerable catalog of blackened, bestial death metal of a most ancient order. With two martial, bulldozing doses of that characteristic bestiality plus a tensely hushed outro serving as a bridge between both sides, their reunification with Iron Bonehead here is also their first recorded work since 2022's towering Entropy Dynamics. Invocation's last record came in 2024, the debut album The Archaic Sanctuary (Ritual Body Postures), after years of legwork on the short-length front. As such, the Chileans still know how to reap the whirlwind when it comes to quick bursts of hammering & haunting black/death; their three tracks here are classic South American madness made manifest through sulfurous execution and sepulchral atmosphere. In short: a MANDATORY alliance!
