MAVORIMzapowiadają trzecią płytę

 

Purity Through Fire is proud to present Mavorim's highly anticipated third album, Non Omnis Moriar, on CD, A5 digipack, vinyl LP, and cassette tape formats. The CD and tape versions shall be released on December 12th while the vinyl will follow in summer 2022.

For nearly eight years now, the defiant warlord otherwise known as Baptist has put forth a stark, austere style of black metal under the Mavorim banner. With a couple demos, splits, and then two albums 2018's Silent Leges Inter Arma debut album and 2020's Axis Mundi - through Purity Through Fire, Mavorim has swiftly come to define the new breed of German black metal that hearkens back to the old guard: Teutonic to the bone, harsh and harrowing yet heralding triumph.

And while 2020 did see the release of Axis Mundi AND two splits with comrades Totenwache and Ad Mortem, Baptist wastes no time keeping the conflagrating momentum going with Mavorim's third full-length, Non Omnis Moriar. No more but definitely no less, Non Omnis Moriar is definitive Mavorim through and through: cold, cutting, and martial but breathing passion and poignancy at every twisted turn. Whereas the preceding Axis Mundi saw Baptist exploring more epic and atmospheric textures, here does Mavorim kick up the intensity once again, fully locked-in and reeking of bloodlust - BUT that insanely catchy songwriting that's come to earmark the band has been carried over here, and given a palpitating shot of adrenaline. And even with a runtime of 48 minutes, the ten songs comprising Non Omnis Moriar seem to fly by in a flash, and you're left licking your wounds on the battlefield...if you survive Baptist's berserker fury.

To mark this momentous occasion, a limited edition of the album will be released with a wooden tea-light holder (photo after the jump). Mourn the heroic dead and light their way to the beyond with Mavorim's Non Omnis Moriar!

Five weeks before the release of "Worship The Eternal Darkness", the Finnish Black Metal band unveils a second track 'Black Womb Gnosis'. Fast drums, subtle keyboard layers, deep grunts, and sharp riffs form the cornerstones of ARCHGOAT's new composition. However, fluid changes in tempo as well as aptly exercised lead guitar passages demonstrate the band's ability to continuously refine their wall of sound. Thus, 'Black Womb Gnosis' is Black Metal to the bone while flawlessly combining dynamic songwriting with brutal lawlessness.

Debiut RÖKKR w grudniu

 

Today, Chaos Records announces December 10th as the international release date for the striking debut album of America's Rökkr, self-titled Rökkr, on CD format.

Rökkr was conceived and executed in 2011 by Kyle House, who currently maintains Decrepisy and Serpents of Dawn and previously was a member of Acephalix, Vastum, and Necrot among others. Heavily influenced by Nordland-era Bathory, Tolkien, and Thin Lizzy with death-grunts to tell the tale, House here is joined by Adam Perry of Vastum on drums, and together they recorded Rökkr's self-tilted first album with Jeff Davis before his tragic and untimely death. Mixing and mastering was handled by Greg Wilkinson of Earhammer fame.

Massive and majestic in its sound and scope, Rökkr is a concept album and a soundtrack to a journey deep within the mountain's eye. Rökkr explore the darkest parts of the psyche and what lives in the shadows in the deep, all through symbolism and mythology that connects to roots beyond this lifetime and gives a sense of meaning to the chaos of the endless wheel of birth and death. SOLIPSISM przygotowują dwie płyty

 

Today, Hells Headbangers announces the signing of Australia's Solipsism. The first fruit of this union shall be the band's striking debut album, Cruelty & Necrospection, on CD format - the vinyl LP version will be handled by Altare Productions - which will see release in early 2022.

Although brand-new in name, since the beginning of 2020, Solipsism have quickly created a considerable canon for themselves. Which is perhaps not surprising given that the band is a cross-continental work between Australian vocalist/guitarist The Seer and Bosnian drummer Iblis; between them, they number a vast span of recordings, most prominently with The Seer's Lament in Winter's Night and Iblis' connection to the esteemed Black Plague Circle through Obskuritatem.

However, as Solipsism, they create righteously raw black metal in a manner most melancholic and medieval. Smeared and bleary, the band's Cruelty & Necrospection debut album is almost too accurately titled: wave after wave of agonized yet alluringly melodic nastiness hits the listener with no remorse and no escape. Solipsism succeed because they inherently understand black metal being BLACK METAL; boundaries are respected, the essence remains forthright, and new hymns are conjured from the past. As such, references can be made to the French Black Legions, vampyric pioneers Black Funeral, and the paradigmatic Drowning the Light, but on evidence of Cruelty & Necrospection, Solipsism are poignantly contributing to this proud lineage rather than merely (r)aping it.

Now on CD for the first time ever, Cruelty & Necrospection precedes a brand-new Solipsism album forthcoming from Hells Headbangers on CD and vinyl (the cassette version will be handled by The Seer's Atrocity Altar label). The dungeons are calling!
