French Deathrashers MORTAL SCEPTER have just inked a deal with Xtreem Music for the release of their debut album to be entitled "Where Light Suffocates", scheduled for next 22nd of January 2019.
MORTAL SCEPTER was born in 2012 and released their first demo in 2014, followed by a 6-song EP entitled "As Time Sharpens the Sentence" in 2015, released by Unspeakable Axe Rec. (sublabel of Dark Descent). During the two following years, the band played several shows across France and Europe, outstanding a tour with SKELETHAL in 2017. During the first months of 2018, MORTAL SCEPTER finished the recordings of their first full length album "Where Light Suffocates", which caught the attention from Xtreem Music who offere them a deal.
The style of MORTAL SCEPTER perfectly captures the essence of these ancient french bands emerged in late 80's like MASSACRA, AGRESSOR, LOUDBLAST, MERCYLESS... and can be defined as a raw, savage and primitive blend of old school Death & Thrash Metal, dragging influences from bands like MASSACRA, SODOM, POSSESSED, DARK ANGEL, KREATOR, very early SEPULTURA...

Los Deathrashers franceses MORTAL SCEPTER, acaban de firmar contrato con Xtreem Music para la edición de su álbum debut que llevará por título "Where Light Suffocates", previsto para el próximo 22 de Enero de 2019.
MORTAL SCEPTER nació en 2012 y editaron su primera demo en 2014, seguida por un EP de 6 temas titulado "As Time Sharpens the Sentence" en 2015, editado por Unspeakable Axe Rec. (subsello de Dark Descent). Durante los siguientes años, la banda tocó varios shows tanto en Francia como en Europa, destacando un tour con SKELETHAL en 2017. Durante los primeros meses de 2018, MORTAL SCEPTER finalizó las grabaciones de su primer álbum completo "Where Light Suffocates", que captó la atención de Xtreem Music, quienes les ofreció un contrato.
El estilo de MORTAL SCEPTER captura a la perfección la esencia de aquellas antiguas bandas francesas surgidas a finales de los '80 como MASSACRA, AGRESSOR, LOUDBLAST, MERCYLESS... y pueden ser definidos como un crudo, salvaje y primitivo híbrido entre Death y Thrash Metal de la vieja escuela con influencias de bands como MASSACRA, SODOM, POSSESSED, DARK ANGEL, KREATOR, primerísimos SEPULTURA...
