Wolfspell Records sets December 21st as the international release date for Nazrak's striking debut album, Cantiques Funebres.
Nazrak hail from France - Chambéry, Rhône-Alpes to be
more precise - and released a self-titled EP in 2016 not long after
their inception. And although Cantiques Funebres was originally self-released digitally this past summer, Nazrak's
black metal positively explodes with a deeply '90s-entrenched
classicism. Across the album's deceptively compact 36 minutes, the vast
landscapes of Nazrak's visions unfold: nightsky
mysticism, woodland wonder, and high fantasy all vividly paint the
picture. Indeed, so authentic are the band's second-wave stylings, you
could envision Cantiques Funebres being released by the likes of Last Episode or Solistitium. No less mighty, Wolfspell Records breathes the same breath as the ancients, and proudly keeps the past alive in the present with its support of Nazrak.
Nazrak's Cantiques Funebres will be released on digipack CD with booklet. In the meantime, stream the album in its entirety HERE at Wolfspell Records' Bandcamp, where it can also be preordered. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:
